Arranged Marriage To The Princess Of The Red Scorpions

Chapter 314 Unexpected Move

Lena pulled away from the kiss before it got too deep. Now wasn't the time to lose herself in such things.

Still, There was one thing that could be said.

"Being gentle suits you far better than your recent mood change." Samuel's eyes turned inquisitive at her question. The princess chose not to respond though as she pulled away from the other.

"What is that supposed to mean? I didn't think that there was anything about me that has changed?" her fiancé followed back down the stairs as she descended at a rather quick pace.

It was always surprise how quickly she could move despite how short her legs were.

"Something for you to figure out." Lena simply replied, reaching the bottom step.

"What exactly is this about? I didn't think that anyone gave permission for these rooms to be touched." Lena's pace slowed when she heard Alonso's voice nearby.

It sounded like it came from Leo's room.

"You should be asking the family for permission before you come in here doing as you please." The right-hand man didn't exactly sound like the most pleasant person to be dealing with at the current moment in time. The tone in his voice held more power in in compared to normal.

Whoever he was dealing with sounded like they were struggling based on the lower toned stuttering the princess could hear.

"Alonso is in there?" Unlike Lena who waited to hear what was going on, Samuel decided to forward to see the situation for himself.

The moment he came to the door to the room, the atmosphere completely changed.

Alonso's aura turned out to be vastly more intimidating than his tone.

The two nurse who came in to do their job were cowering by Leo's bed. The boy still as of yet to wake up.

"What exactly is going on here?" Samuel inquired as he glanced between the three individuals in the room.

"These three are intent on moving Lena' brother to another room without asking her permission. I don't believe they have even spoke to any of the other members of the family about this choice." Alonso replied, his arms pressed tightly against his chest while he leveled a hard stare at the two young woman.

"We-we did get a request though to move him from this one. To one that less easily accessible." The older of the two nurses tried her best to justify what they were doing without seeming too intimidated.

"Who sent the order? If it didn't come from the Red Scorpion family, you shouldn't even be given it a second thought." Samuel took Alonso's side on this matter. No way would Lena or her uncle allow for such a thing to take place without their permission.

"There was no name given. We just assumed it must have come from the family since they are the only ones always present here."

"We didn't send any request for a move to be made. You won't be touching anyone in either of these rooms now or in the future."

Lena stepped into the room as she made the announcement, her aura almost as bad if not worse than the one that Alonso had given off.

"I would also appreciate being able to see where this request came through. Don't you have channels to confirm these things before just obeying?"

The nurses exchanged a wary glance with one another. The younger of the two looked as though there Was something she wanted to say but the words were stuck on the tip of her tongue.

The princess noticed this, and her gaze became fixed on the girl. A little pressure and she would likely crumble under the pressure.

Young ones almost always did. They hadn't yet learned how to be as well-put together as their more seasoned counter parts.

"There's nothing to worry about. It was obviously a mistake. One that we will apologize for and be more careful about in the future." The older nurse suddenly moved to block her younger companion from Lena's intense gaze.

There it was.

"What is it that you're trying to hide?" The princess moved further into the room.

The older nurse's head turned in response to the question but she kept her mouth shut.

"Let your friend speak. It seemed as though there was something that she wanted to say. I don't think that it would be right for you to keep her from speaking her mind." The princess waved her hand in a manner to get the older nurse to move.

However, the woman refused to budge.

"We apologized already, didn't we? I think that's more than enough to get you to stop antagonizing my staff and to allow us to get back to our job." Lena's eyes flickered as though the words kindled a small flame.

"Get back to your job? I thought that it was to ensure that you're taking proper care of your patients, isn't that right?" With each word, The princess took a step towards the nurse.

Lena gave the woman credit for not shrinking back with each step she took forward.

"Care to tell me how you're supposed to do that when you're keeping secrets and allowing yourself to be influenced by things outside of your conscience?" Lena was now standing level with the other woman.

The aura the biggest that it could be despite the size difference between the two of them.

The princess intended to stare the other woman down until she backed off. Whatever secret she was hiding, Lena wouldn't be shy about using whatever means necessary to pull it from the other.

Her family wouldn't be touched by any outsiders. No matter the reason. Not without their explicit permission.

"Lena, I don't really think that you need to take things this far." Alonso remained quiet while the princess did as she pleased.

Samuel on the other hand determined the time had come to intervene before things became even more intense.

"I think that everyone here should take a few minutes to calm down. I was the one who put the request in for Leo to be moved. The rest of your family as well."
