Chapter 107: Bloodline Awakening (a)

Chapter 107: Bloodline Awakening (a)

"My bones were shaking, teeth clattering and waist bending because of only facing 33% of the total mana pressure. Wouldn't I be crushed while facing 100% of the total mana pressure? Please, get me out of this place!" Whittaker exclaimed for Elder Zachary and the spirit of the reality-management formation to hear but no one replied.

In Zachary palace central command room:

If Nina had the ability to then she would have already pulled him out of that place but she couldn't. She didn't even have an ounce of authority over the heaven-reaching mountain, after all; however, she was without a worry.

Nina thought: Since Zachy has promised me, he would naturally not go back on his word. As soon as little handsome is near one inch away from death, Zachy will surely save his life. He has not only promised me but has also considered Whittaker as his student. However, I really wish that he has an extraordinary talent, which father has been looking for all his life

She hopes that Whittaker will pass this trial and fulfill one of Elder Zachary dying wishes. Zachary was dying and he wanted to accept someone worthy as his inheritor. He didn't have a single descendent of his own. Even if the Great Formation master had some if he doesn't like him, he would make arrangements to keep their unworthy hands off of his things.

Currently, Elder Zachary's face was tinged with anticipation and happiness. 'Before the end of my life, I have found someone great.'

The tiptoeing skill which Whittaker had utilized to pass through hundreds of steps of the heaven-reaching staircase filled with Death Force contained traces of the Zen Flame Puppet, Demonic Flame Rush battle skill!

He was extremely satisfied with Whittaker. The boy was far more impressive than he initially thought. He wanted to go down himself and invite the boy up the palace; however, Whittaker will lose a miraculous opportunity to awaken his Devansha bloodline. As a master, how could he ruin the fortune of his student?

Although it might necessarily not be a fortune for Whittaker; Instead, a deadly misfortune. But Elder Zachary was certain that he could save Whittaker from the vicious clutches of death, itself.

Anyways, fortune cannot be obtained if one does not have the guts to face loss, pain, or life and death moments.

----------------------------

On the 332nd step of the heaven-reaching staircase.

"Calm down. Young boy, you can not escape this place and you don't have enough power to destroy the mana wall formation. The only thing you could do is face the trial head-on, just like Edward Agni. Save your energy and strength for what's to come." Lord Dark spirit voice resounded beside Whittaker, who was smashing his S-ranked sword, Blood Drinker on the mana Wall formation. His mana was still zero, hence he couldn't utilize Mana Missile or Frost Missile.

Hearing his words made him realize that he should really save all his energy and strength to face the death sentence that was about to drop in 48 seconds.

While thinking rationally, his eyes wandered to the skeleton at the right side of this place.

The very first time when Whittaker stared at the skeleton he felt that its posture was weird. The skeleton eyes were focused on its right hand which held the jaded pass; however, Edward Agni didn't utilize it to open the portal or get out of whatever the danger is in this place.

"Lord Dark spirit, why didn't he use the Zen Mountain Jaded Pass to escape the heaven-reaching trial. Was the mana pressure so strong that he died in a single moment?" Whittaker internally asked. He felt curious because Edward Agni was also an F-ranked awakened with an S-ranked class weapon.

Although Edward Angi wasn't as strong as Whittaker, he could still be considered a prodigy of the human race.

"Nope. From the looks of it, he had time to pull the jaded tablet out from his spatial pockets so he certainly had enough time to use it to make his escape; however, he chooses not to!" Lord Dark Spirit's voice rang beside Whittaker's ears.

"Why though? Did he wanted to die?" Whittaker was confused at Edward Agni's decision. 'Maybe, he was insane?'

"It's because of pride. He chose death over regret." Lord Dark spirit said.

Edward Agni was someone who was hailed as a genius and godly prodigy since birth. He came here to win and return to the land of flame gloriously as Zachary's inheritor. He has announced his boastful thoughts throughout the Land of Flame. The land of the flame is thousands of miles wide, hence billions of beings had heard his word. In the end, under pressure, he didn't even have the guts to return to Zen mountain and could only choose death over life, otherwise, he would have to live a life full of shame.

A single decision made due to overconfidence and heaven reaching pride led to Edward Agni's doom.

Although, only Whittaker should be able to hear Lord Dark Spirit's voice; however this time someone else felt it too. Naturally, it wasn't clear in his ear and he couldn't even make out a single word of what he heard rather, he felt the voice.

As for the person who felt Lord Dark Spirit's voice, he was in a realm where people of the seven lands weren't allowed entry. In that place, mana and other types of mystical energy permeate the air. He was none other than Master Zen.

In his vision, a clear projection of Whittaker standing one step away from the 333rd step could be seen. Following the tip, Whittaker has decided to stand just one step away from the 333rd step. 'If I manage to somehow survive until the mana wall formation disappears then I would only need to take one step to win the last challenge!' Whittaker thought in glee.

If he does not believe in himself then why would someone else? With such thoughts, Whittaker supported himself emotionally and mentally and he stood straight, ready to face whatever was coming with a beaming smile.
