Harem Tournament of Champions

Chapter 132 Not The Only Immortal

Gregg shook his head, not necessarily answering the question or giving a conclusive answer.

"Come on." Hisha clicked his tongue, making a slashing strike with his hand.

The wind sliced off the healing parts of his hand which had regenerated to his elbows.

"Aghhh!!" Gregg let out a blood-curdling yell in pain.

"We could do this all day," Hisha said with a disturbing smile, winking to Gregg so he could tell how serious he was.

Sitting on him, Hisha patted Gregg's head, ruffling his hair and commending him for his new haircut.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here." He pretended to seek out permission even though he was already sitting down on him.

Gregg bit down on his bottom lips to cope with the pain and his draining Sux.

Pulling him by the collar, he leaned down so their faces were a few inches apart.

"There are two things I would never condone as being interrupted while being with my harem, but do you know the second one?" He cackled in a burst of maniacal laughter.

Gregg shook his head, shivering and trembling in pain as sweat dripped down his face.

"Puny mortals that waste my goddamn time!" Hisha sneered.

He still felt his pride hurt by the fact that he had sustained some form of casualty while fighting with a Vandrik.

Gregg was surely stronger than Kritz–enough incentive to train his right-hand man.

"The Vandriks could indeed pack a punch, they weren't lying." Hisha joked to himself, shaking his head at the one who had managed to catch him off guard.

Gregg coughed out, spitting blood onto Hisha's face.

Letting go of Gregg, he wiped down his face in disgust of having some enter his eyes.

"What in the actual fuck was that?" Hisha spat but didn't give him enough time to respond.

Bam!

"I know you weren't going to respond favorably." He let out a sigh whilst wiping the blood off his face.

[Be rational]

'I am rational! The one that should be ready for me to lose my cool would be Gregg!'

[If you kill him you won't be able to get the desired information]

'It doesn't look like he is willing to say, I might as well kill him, it's a good bonus that he's male!'

"I see you choose to die," he raised his fist, almost about to punch him in the guts.

"I... I will..."

Cough!

Dropping his hand beside him, he cleared his throat and nodded his head in understanding, "tell me, what are Yoru's plans?"

Gregg's eyes widened in shock at how direct this question one, a dangerous topic he wished not to thread.

"I... I can't." He blurted out with clattering teeth.

'Who is this fucker and what does he think he would aim with this?!' Hisha internally facepalmed.

[He is Gregg the pain in the ass Vandrik]

HTC clarified for its host, to the displeasure of Hisha.

'Where's the fucking off switch on you?!'

[There is none, except you find a way to 'DIE'!!!]

Shaking off the telepathic communication with his system, Hisha had his focus on Gregg once more as he sneered. "What sort of bullshit are you spilling out?"

"I can't." Gregg cried out knowing, either way, he was going to die but he wasn't going to risk that sort of easy route.

"You have no use to me then." Hisha hissed with a twisted smile. "I could get it one way or another."

Cough!

Cough!

"What if I'm useful?"

Those words were like a ton of work that had been lightened with just those words.

"Part of my consciousness has been gained by the new partner–"

Hisha was temporarily distracted by the word–new.

'Where the hell does she get more Vandrik ?!' Hisha thought as he got off Gregg.

"I'm going to be killed, although I thought I could prove my worth one last time." Gregg let out a bitter laugh.

'Realization isn't just having its mind tricks on you?' Hisha rolled his eyes.

"A bigger danger lurks, although I am not authorized to speak," Gregg warned with a disappointed sigh.

"Thank you for the land-shattering news." Hisha deadpanned, clicking his tongue.

He couldn't care less for half-baked information if it he still needed to go through the stress of decoding.

Gregg coughed out with a chuckle, amused by the strange mannerism of their overlord.

"If it were up to you, you harbor no ill intention towards me. I don't wish to continue in this." Hisha commented, reading his intentions.

Given the fact that Gregg could use his legs or gather enough human or beastmen puppets from neighboring territories or Straton.

Gregg's eyes teared up as his vision blurred from the overwhelming emotion.

His sense of allegiance to Yoru had made him blind to the cause he had taken.

She had used a forbidden technique on him, not out of duty but for selfish reasons–Use him as a weapon for mass destruction on a grand scale.

"Promise me you'd uphold your standards as you've always done."

Raising a brow at the sentimental approach Gregg had switched to, Hisha stood in a spot, uncomfortable by the words.

'It's time to put him out of his misery, he's spewing unnecessary words.'

[...]

Taking a few steps back, Hisha clenched his fists beside him.

A clap of thunder could be heard as the sky darkened.

'Hmm painless is needed, but he'd explode and I need to contain that.' Hisha made a calculative approach as he observed his surrounding.

As the cloud gathered, he opened his arms in a way to signify his sense of freedom from all anger.

In other to destroy Gregg, he needed to rid himself of every form of hatred he had towards the Vandrik.

Gregg lay defenseless even though he had regained both arms, and chose to accept his fate with a smile.

"Lord Hisha..." He muttered.

Temporarily distracted, Hisha stared in awe at the Vandrik which referred to him using his title, and the blissful feeling of being accepted as the superior made him more ecstatic.

Turning his head to his side and at Hisha, he forced a smile. "Promise me you would stop them before they do something drastic."

Hisha's lips drew into a thin line, a nod of his head to the strange request.

With a smile on his lips, Gregg closed his eyes.

Giving enough distance between them, he created a 10-meter barrier around Gregg.

Flashes of lightning travel through them as he prepared to call down lightning.

[Ready...]

Hisha raised his hand to the sky.

[Aim...]

Pointing in the direction of Gregg, he widened his stance, locking his gaze on him and nodding his head.

[Strike...]

'Strike!' Hisha repeated in his thoughts.

Lightning coursed through his hand, channeling through his body, escaping from his two-finger gesture on his left hand.

A circle was formed in the barrier to allow the lighting to pass through.

Zzzt!!!

Boom!!!

Hisha watched in awe at the sight of fire erupting in clouds of smoke and flames.

'A real bomb like in the movies.' Hisha gasped in awe, temporarily distracted by it.

Crrk!

Hisha's awe was soon short-lived as he witnessed a crack forming in the barrier with the fire showing no sign of quelling anything soon.

'Oh! No, you don't!'

[Ability: Geokinetic manipulation]

Raising his hands, he watched as bits of the grassy terrain were pulled and made to overlap the barrier multiple times.

Ggggrrrr!

Doing several backflips, Hisha watched with the hope that it would hold in the residual flames.

Boom!

Pushed back by the impact, Hisha hit a boulder and groaned in pain.

Thud!

Cough!

Cough!

Blowing on the cloud of dust, Hisha waved his hand to disperse it so he could have a clear vision of his surrounding.

He had almost taken a step forward when he was warned by his system to stop.

His eyes bulged as he witnessed himself at the edge of the raised ground, looking down at a deep large hole created from the explosion.

Molten magma had built up in its core and stared back at him.

Cough!

Cough!

He blew at his nose the moment he inhaled smoke.

'What the hell?!' He exclaimed in shock.

If this had been done in his citadel, there was no telling what sort of casualty would have happened with little he could save even with his time manipulation.

[Any step further would have led you to fall into that]

'I can't die.' Hisha countered, shaking his head in disbelief.

[That doesn't mean you can't burn and feel pain]

'Very comforting, HTC.' Hisha deadpanned.

[Target nullified]

'If he survives this, then I guess I'm not the only immortal in this world.' Hisha retorted.

[You aren't the only immortal]

'What?!' Hisha did a double take on the response, switching his gaze below and to the user interface.
