UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 104 104. WINNER

The trick behind the effect of Mike's attack was simple.

When the technique was executed, it would create a ripple-like effect In the air. Each ripple contains power inside of them, all ripples being of equal power.

When an object was hit by those ripples of power, they would seem like one attack, but in fact, were multiple. They would wear down the objects material, due to the barrage of attacks or batterey the body of a human or magical beast had endured.

The move was so difficult that it took Mike seven years of constant practice to achieve, and it worked like a charm on his opponents.

The only downside to the technique was that it could be easily dodged, and it took a few instants to perform, which were solved since the two of them were both in a contained area, and Noah had failed to dodge.

"Your body is Incredible for it to remain uninjured after my attack," Mike shouted dashing towards Noah, his fist ready for anything.

Noah himself didn't do much, only limiting himself to jumping backward, successfully dodging the man's rampage, but he noticed that his movements had gotten sloppy.

Landing on the edge of the stage Noah pondered in that Instant, what to do.

His current state wasn't hopeless, he only remained surprised by what had happened. Though when he replayed the scene in his head, he got a rough idea of why that had happened.

The thought of activating the speed force crossed his mind but he shook it off. He didn't want to be a cheat in the battle. Although no one would know, he still didn't feel it was right, he would only do so if Mike stopped following the simple rule he made.

Sticking to remaining in that state would have been his last option, but that thought process vanished when his strength suddenly returned.

He had forgotten about his speed healing and its Incredible effect.

'It's a pity you chose to fight me,' Noah thought stopping Mike's punch with his right palm before immediately grabbing it. Slight cracks spread on the ground due to the flow of force.

Mike's eyes were wide open when that scene registered in his mind. 'How is he totally fine,' Mike screamed inwardly, but it was already too late to escape.

Dragging Mike's body towards himself with the fist he had in his grip, Noah threw a punch at the man's stomach.

A mild crunching sound escaped that part of Mike's body, while he shot backward at breakneck speed.

His body slammed the wall like veil, multiple injuries registering in his mind, while his mouth coughed out the blood that had accumulated in his throat.

Mike's mind went through multiple blackouts in that Instant, his eyes almost rolling back due to the punches' power, but it didn't.

Determination, fear, and reverence surged in Mike's mind when his eyes fell on Noah's walking figure.

He didn't want to lose the fight when it had barely been a minute since they started.

"I'll have to break our earlier rule," Mike whispered, Mana, surging out of his wounded body.

Noah instinctively dashed forward at that point, his own Mana moving with him. Although barely, Noah had heard Mike's words, and he moved to stop him.

Lightning flickered around Noah's palms as he clenched them into a fist bringing it forward to strike the man on the spot.

But surprisingly had been too late. His fist connected with a blue shield of sorts, an explosion of power resounding in the process.

Noah's body was sent flying backward, as surprise filled his mind, but he didn't let it take over his mind.

"You are definitely someone worth fighting. I can't imagine having to use my Mana in this fight, that shows how much of a monster you are," Mike's pained voice spread out in the whole room, the audience holding their breaths due to it.

Noah watched this scene with cold eyes, his Mana moving in his body, he was ready to cast a spell.

"I know this won't be a long fight, but I'll try my best to entertain you and the audience," Mike announced, as multiple blue arms of sorts shot out of the blue halo and magic circle that had formed around him.

The five arms were made purely of liquid, which made for the trails of water that escaped their large structures.

Each arm was the size of a fully grown human, and their power was at the peak of Tier 2.

Noah watched the moving arms in slow motion, he wasn't really worried about them, since immediately Mike had decided to utilize spells the fight had ended for him.

Taking a step forward, Noah shot towards Mike, his palms touching the two arms that had appeared in his way since they threatened to send him flying backward.

Electrical energy poured out of Noah's palms, he had utilized his Lightning Elemental magic.

Commanding the energy pouring out of his hand to snake up the arms, Noah caused them to curl around the arms' full length, and tighten like a rope.

The arms exploded instantly, but there were three others about to touch Noah, which they did.

Noah's body shot towards the edge of the stage, his body slamming into the wall like veil as pain spread in his mind, though it vanished as soon as he sensed it.

During that short period, Mike had created five more arms that floated around his barely standing figure.

Furrowing his brows, Noah did a side step, dodging one of the three arms flying towards him.

Grabbing the base of the arm which looked like that of a decapitated arm, Noah spun it and slammed it on the other two arms.

The mass of water which was the arm, directly exploded on contact with the other arms, they too exploding in the process.

Before Noah could rejoice over that small victory, five more arms shot toward him.

This time a frown appeared on his face as he moved to stop the caster of the spells.

'How do I even stop the fight. Kill him? Definitely not. Then knock him out it is.' Noah concluded as his figure vanished from his position before the arms could reach him.

Truth be told, Noah could have ended the fight way before it escalated to this point. He had the speed and power to do so, but something inside of him wished to have a prolonged fight which he would struggle to win.

Not to get him wrong he loved his strength, but he also desired to encounter someone his level, who would challenge him enough to make him go all-out, and even at that point still struggle to win.

He wanted to earn his victories, but that didn't mean he would prefer being weak.

Noah instantly arrived in front of the bloody figure of Mike, who seemed to have multiple broken bones in his body, his palm moving towards his head.

Mike tried to react by making his spells return to protect him, but Noah's movement had been too fast and unpredictable

His consciousness went black when Noah's palm slammed his forehead.

Mike's spells immediately vanished after their caster had lost connection with them.

Immediately Mike's body slumped on the ground, the veil of sorts vanished, then five men rushed into the stage.

They fed Mike some healing potions before going on to carry him out of the stage, one of the men tried to give Noah a potion but he refused it.

Noah heaved a soft sigh after that was over. Sweeping his gaze on the stage, Noah finally realized how damaged it was, causing him to feel slightly amused by it.

Jumping down the stage, Noah's eyes fell on the other winners and the audience. There were no cheers or anything, everyone simply stared at him seemingly in a daze.

Eventually, Alex's voice rang out, "The winner of the battle is Noah!," He announced.

It seemed the nobles were waiting for his words, since immediately after he completed his words their cheers filled the whole room. Even the participants applauded him with respect filling their eyes.

A slight smile appeared on Noah's face while he enjoyed the attention he was given.

"The next challenger should please step on the stage," Alex eventually announced to Pete and Moses, walking towards the stage that had begun to repair itself.
