"Will it be fine?" William questioned. He questioned whether or not these jobs would be sustainable. It was a good idea. But if it couldn't last, the issue would still be there.

"Mmhmmm. The town is enormous. I calculated it," Keith realized the town was large.

The workers would take a day to finish a quarter of the town. And after three days, one-quarter would be dirty again. It was a never-ending cycle.

"And why three silver?" William was curious. Why was the wage that much?

"I went with three silver because of the budget. Also, it's so the regular townspeople wouldn't take this job," Keith understood.

From what Gus said, a wage of five silver coins was the standard. Anything less, and people wouldn't want it.

That was why Keith lowered it to three.

"Three is enough to maintain a stable life," Keith did some calculations and found three silver was enough to get by.

"Alright. That's a good plan," William nodded to his son's words.

"And I also have a plan with the housing," Keith smiled. William chuckled. You have a plan for the housing as well?

Michael and Mendel stared at Keith. The young master was not playing at all.

He was going in hot!

...

And what Keith explained worked.

"Po!" Mir summoned in front of him. The snowball didn't wait as he jumped on Keith's body!

Keith hugged the little snowball, "Sorry, Mir. I haven't been able to come to the forest because I have a lot of things to do,"

"Mir, don't be mad at Keith," Fira added, "Keith is helping a lot of people out!" She knew Keith was doing something great!

"Po!" Mir licked his face. He understood Keith had a lot of things to do. Mir jumped onto his head as he nestled into it.

"Haha. Alright, you can come with me to the slums," Keith laughed as he walked.

Michael and Orin were behind him.

"I never would have guessed he would do something like this," Orin stated. How he changed the slums in a few weeks was just crazy. Michael shrugged his shoulders,

"The kid's like that. He's smart on some days, while at other times, he goes into overdrive to do things he feels need to be done."

"Come on, let's go," Keith looked at the two middle-aged people behind him.

"Don't need to tell us,"

...

"Everyone!" Keith screamed. With his loud voice, the people from the slums quickly came out of their homes.

"It's the young master!"

"The young master has returned!" The people from the slums came out of their homes. They stared at Keith with reverence.

"I made due on my promise of handing you guys jobs!" Keith had given his word that he would give them jobs. And he did that. He added,

"But I want you guys to sacrifice something else for me!"

Sacrifice? The people from the slums wondered what he wanted them to sacrifice.

Keith explained, "I'm planning to make new homes for everyone! But I need to construct it in the space you live in! That's why I need you to bear with me and let others live in your homes for a bit!" The next thing Keith wanted to do was to create homes.

But he needed to use the space those huts were occupying.

It was a long shot. But Keith hoped it would work,

New homes?

"We'll gladly do it, Young Master!"

"If it means we can live in new homes, we'll gladly leave them!"

"Thank you everyone! Also, I will be calling some names out! I will need some experienced people to construct this!" That was why Keith had the knights take notes on the experiences the people had.

It would make it easier to decide who would be the most suitable for each job.

"You guys will be paid as well!" And the people from the slums brightened up even more!

More jobs!

"I will call out the names!" Keith called out around 20 people for work.

"Orin will be helping out as well!" Keith stated. He asked Orin to assist him in constructing it. He wasn't a construction worker.

This was more of Orin's forte.

"The first ten will be carrying the materials over here! The others will be helping the people move their stuff out of the house and smashing the hut down!" Orin ordered.

"Understood!" Like that, everyone got to work. While they set up, Orin asked, "Keith, where did you get the coins to get all of this?"

"Hmm?"

"I mean the materials and wages. How did you get so many materials and coins to pay for them?" Orin frowned.

"From my father," Keith chuckled.

"Don't lie. Your father only gave you 10 mithril. And that was used on the cleaner jobs. How did you do it?"

"Fine," Keith sighed, "I used some of the coins I earned from my bakery,"
