Volume 3.5 Chapter 43: Keith Vs Krystal

Like that, the two stood forward. 

"Why is it him?"

"Just because he's the representative."

Tennol explained, "Go pick out a weapon from the rack," Krystal and Keith nodded. The two walked up to the weapon's rack. It was armed with different kinds of weapons. 

Keith took a sword and shield from the rack while Krystal picked a wooden sword. 

"The two of you stand in front," Keith and Krystal stood in front of one another. The two both got into their stances. 

"And begin!" Tennol shouted!

The person to make the first move was Krystal! She swung her sword at Keith's chest. But Keith raised his shield, meeting with the blade.

Krystal wasn't done as she twisted her body, going for another slice. 

Gotta get out of range. Keith backed away from her. She's good. Keith could tell Krystal's swordsmanship was on par with his. Maybe even more. 

Her movements are difficult to figure out. Krystal swung her sword in a flurry of motions. It was sporadic and difficult to gauge. 

Keith was able to block it with his shield. Back off! Keith quickly made his counter, swinging his shield at her!

And it was a powerful hit! Krystal blocked it with her sword. She was pushed back forcefully!

Krystal was visibly shocked. But it was only a moment as she continued to slash.

Is she not thinking?! Keith couldn't believe she was going this hard. He quickly blasted her down by swiping his sword at her. He had the advantage in strength. 

Eh? Krystal wasn't going to be taken down like that. She swiped at Keith's legs, tripping him up. Landing on his arm, Keith quickly got back up. 

I need to limit her speed. Keith raised his shield upwards. That caused Krystal to frown.

What are you planning? Krystal was wary of his movements. The latter had tucked the shield close to his body. It was weird. Whatever the case may be, Krystal started her onslaught again! 

This time, she was using more force than before!  

Keith continued to guard her attacks with the shield. The students started to cheer! 

"You got this, Krystal!"

"Beat that fake representative up!"

"Let's go!" 

They cheered Krystal on like no tomorrow! 

Am I public enemy number one? Keith wanted to laugh at this. He didn't think so many students would hate him. But he could care less about what they were doing. His focus was on Krystal. 

Keith continued to guard all of Krystal's attacks. He wasn't attacking her anymore. He was only blocking. 

That's his game. Tennol noticed what Keith was doing. 

What is he planning? While Krystal continued to attack, she couldn't get this feeling out of her mind. It was a foreboding. Hearing all the cheers didn't move her. Her only focus was on Keith. 

Something was going to happen! Her instincts were telling her to move away.

"What?" Krystal understood the position she was in. She was in the corner of the ring!

She was stuck there! 

Too late. Tennol shook his head. It was hard for Krystal to notice anything as she focused on Keith. But for the others, they could see it, but they didn't understand.  

Understanding Krystal was much faster than him, Keith knew he had to limit it. That was why he slowly inched forward as he blocked, cutting the field down. 

It was Keith's turn to attack! Keith raised his sword in the air, ready to cut her down. Krystal's eyes shined as she quickly made her move! 

"Ugh!" In an instant, Krystal's sword was on Keith's neck!

"You lost," 

"Oh, well. You win," Keith chuckled as he raised his hand in defeat. But the others stared in shock. 

"That's what I thought!"

"The Grand Duke's sole heir is the strongest!" 

Keith smiled, "That was a good spar," However, Krystal bowed her head as she walked off. Keith scratched his head. 

"You were really close to defeating her, Keith," Tennol chuckled. 

Keith shrugged, "A loss is still a loss, Instructor,"

"..." Can you say that when you have those bracelets on? Only a few knew about the bracelet Keith had on. From how it looked, Krystal used at least 80%.

But Keith was probably using lower than that! 

The class continued on. But what Keith didn't know was this incident was going to be used against him!
