Volume 3.5 Chapter 46: Construction Finished

"This is incredible!" Keith was amazed as he stared at the mansion. He wasn't alone. Gabriel, Arlo, and Diana were surprised by the change as well.

"The outside looks so much different now," They saw bits and pieces of it. However, looking at it in its full glory had a bigger impact.

"It's incredible."

"You guys didn't have to change the outside as well," Keith chuckled at Dalen.

Dalen laughed, "We wanted to. After all the help you did for us, we have to show our thanks." Keith only asked for the inside to be changed. But Dalen and the others went above and beyond in their work.

They worked nonstop to make it like this. The exterior of the mansion was pristine and white. It glistened like crystal from the sunlight.

"Forget about the outside. You need to check out the inside." Dalen smiled. That was the thing they should be praising. Like that, the group entered the building.

Everything inside was incredible. It looked nothing like before.

"I did what you said and kept the giant tree in the center. We also designed the ceiling so rain would drop only on the tree."

Keith looked up. The ceiling was shaved off and replaced with an octagonal glass. He could see some holes for rain to come down.

"This is perfect." Keith smiled. That was what he wanted. There was no way he was going to throw away this tree. It was too big and interesting to do that!

"Woah! Our rooms are incredible!"

"Thank you so much, Mr Dalen!"

Gabriel and Arlo quickly dashed over to their rooms.

"You should check the bathroom next," Keith's eyes shined when he heard that.

The three went to the bathroom. The bathroom was split into two sections. One was to take their clothes off, and the other was to take a bath.

"This looks incredible!" Keith shouted as he marveled. It was beautiful. There was a giant square bath in the center of the room. What was more, there was a wide window showing the outside.

It was a beautiful scenery.

"You guys really went over the top with this," Keith laughed. He knew most of his ideas were overboard. But Dalen and the dwarves went above and beyond.

"Of course. Also, the thing on the side was interesting. What do you call it?"

"Oh, showhead." Keith turned to look at the side. There were a couple of showerheads on the side.

"This is interesting." Dalen never heard of something like that.

"Before we jump into the giant tub, you wash off the dirt first," Keith noted. That was why he designed the bathroom into two sections. A shower section and a giant bath.

"How does it work?" Arlo and Gabriel were interested.

"From what Keith told me, you just need to turn the nob, and hot or cold water would come out from the nozzle. It runs on mana, so inject some into the knob." Dalen stated as he pointed to a knob.

"What about the bathtub? How do I use that?" Keith asked for a giant bathtub.

"Oh, place your hand on the lion's head. You inject some mana into it, and it will give you hot water," Dalen answered.

"I see,"

"Kid, you can't be surprised by everything here. There's one more place you need to look at,"

"...I was saving the best for last," Keith laughed. It was the kitchen. He did some construction before he left it to Dalen and the dwarves. They had to add the cabinets and the countertops.

"You will be surprised," Dalen smiled.

"Were you the one who did it?" Keith questioned. Dalen shook his head, "I wasn't the one who worked on it. Skar took charge,"

"Skar did?" Keith was intrigued.

"Boss! Why do you have to say that?!" Skar's expression turned red when Dalen revealed it.

"Is someone embarrassed?" Keith chuckled as he teased. Skar's expression turned dark!

"I will end you!" He picked up his hammer and tried to swing it at him!

"Hey! Don't go destroying my new mansion!" Keith quickly grabbed the hammer.

"But the mansion was well maintained," Dalen commented. Only the exterior was the problem.

Everything else was perfect. There wasn't any significant damage to the wood.

"That's because I had a wonderful dorm mother," Keith smiled at Diana. She was the one who caused the mansion to be this strong. Without her, it would be impossible.

"Let's go check out the kitchen!" Keith was excited. And when he entered the kitchen, he was in awe.

"What do you think?"

"Incredible! It's perfect!" It was what he wanted.

Keith and Dalen continued to talk with one another about some things. That was when Diana brought out a bag,

"What is that, Keith?"

"These are some vegetables we grew. Please take some with you," Keith smiled.

"We couldn't-" It's okay. I have more than enough here," Keith smiled. With Diana and Fira combining their skills, growing vegetables was so easy.

"Thank you," Dalen smiled.

"I should be the one thanking you," Keith laughed.
