Volume 4 Chapter 68: Understanding You’re Weak Is A Strength

"Throughout the entire battle, I've been nothing but a burden to the others," Frustration. Arlo couldn't help but feel this way.

"..." Keith tilted his head. He turned to Jack, who shook his head. He sighed,

"You weren't the problem, Arlo. You just needed to practice before you can do anything." That was something Arlo needed. As they told him before, Arlo was less experienced than the others.

It was not surprising for Arlo to make mistakes.

"But I made such a big mistake in the boss room." Arlo understood that it was his fault. He hesitated. And the golem noticed. It took him out, causing the formation to break.

"Arlo, you don't seem to understand your role on that team." Keith sighed.

"Hmm?"

"You're the gear that keeps the team functioning." Keith realized it. Arlo was the perfect person for that team.

"Eh?" Jack tilted his head, confused as well. Gabriel seemed to understand what he meant,

"You mean his awareness of being weak?"

"Eh?" "Isn't that a weakness?"

"Yes." Keith nodded, "However, you can turn that weakness into a strength." Turning to Jack, "Do you remember any of Arlo's actions?"

"Now that you mention it, Arlo always did say when he was tired and when it was too dangerous," Jack recalled Arlo's actions. He was straightforward with the group.

"Arlo, you're right to say you're weak. But that doesn't mean it can't be used as an advantage. Unlike the others, you keep them in check."

"But-"

"You really think the others know restraint?" Keith questioned with a straight face. Carolyn, Sarah, and Jack had no words that meant stop in their brain.

They would have charged in like maniacs. They didn't have enough experience to know when to hold back.

"If you weren't there, I doubt they would even get close to the boss room." With Arlo there, they had to account for his stamina. As he rested, the others rested as well.

"..." Arlo was silent.

"Arlo, your strong suit lies elsewhere. Excel at that."

"That is exactly the case, Student Arlo." Aidiun entered the bathroom as well.

"Keith, what you said is correct." Aidiun dipped himself into the water, "When we were evaluating everyone, what we rated you highly was the ability to keep a level head in dangerous situations."

"I see."

"See. There's no need to worry about it." Keith placed a towel on his face before asking,

"Professor Aidiun, what did I get?"

"Perfect score." Aidiun smiled.

"Alright!" Keith pumped his fist.

"But why did you have to take the gates? We were all surprised." Aidiun couldn't help but chuckle remembering it.

"Because it made it so much easier," Keith said with a proud expression.

"You should have seen everyone's face." Aidiun shook his head. His face was something as well.

"I'm telling you, they should have taken the door off as well." Keith shook his head.

"..." They're not like you, you monster!

...

The group got out of the shower, and when they did, they saw Cadmus and Sohma in front of the kitchen.

"Hi, Grandpa Cadmus!" Keith had a big grin. But what Keith got was a pinch to his cheeks!

"You little brat?!"

"Mggghhh!"

"You destroy my precious golems!" Cadmus continued to smoosh Keith's face with a dark grin!

"That's your fault! How could you send all of that into a dungeon?!"

"How dare you talk to your principal like that?!" Cadmus continued to pinch his cheeks like no tomorrow.

"Says the one trying to kill us!" Keith was ready to fight with him to the death! But Carolyn stated,

"Enough fighting, you two. We have more important matters to deal with!"

"Oh yeah." Cadmus stopped pinching, "What have you cooked for us?" Everyone was quite interested.

"Set the table first. I will bring the meat out." Keith rubbed his cheeks.

Like that, everyone got to work on moving everything to the table. When that happened, Keith opened the oven. Perfect.

"Here it is. Orc lord roast with mixed vegetables." Keith placed the pan down. They marveled at the food.

"Smells so good!"

"Tasty." Cadmus drooled as he gazed at the roast.

"Let me cut it." Keith had a knife and fork ready. When Keith had sliced the meat, the juices from the meat splurted out!

"Meat juice fireworks!" It was so beautiful!

"Let's taste it." Like that, everyone started to eat it. When they did, it felt like heaven was on their tongue!

"So tender!"

"How could it taste so good?!"

"What did you put in it?!"

Everyone couldn't help but gorge on the meat like no tomorrow. Keith was the same as well. He couldn't contain his joy. This meat was incredible.

"My body feels so weird!"

Everyone stared at their body to see their wounds healing!

"Incredible!"

"I don't feel tired at all!" Jack started to wave his arms back and forth. This was something they never felt before.

"What the?!"

"Orc lords have a high regenerative factor." Cadmus thought about it.

"Diana and I tasted it before. But this is so much better." Keith laughed. He could feel the healing factor so much stronger than before.

"..."

"Diana, is there something the matter?' Keith turned to Diana. She was silent as she ate the meat.

"Ahh, nothing. I was surprised by how delicious it was."

"I see."
