Volume 6 Chapter 31: I Will Be Using This

"Good work, everyone." Keith sighed in relief. The group was able to get out of that tunnel.

"There were so many of them," Herrick groaned. What those monsters lacked in strength, they made up with vitality and numbers.

"Those archers were so annoying." Jack groaned. The ones who were the most annoying were the skeleton archers. Despite being weaker than the soldiers, they were more of a hindrance. They had the same weakness. However, they were so far away that they couldn't aim at their heads.

They would regenerate in a matter of minutes.

"Where are we right now, Keith?" Gabriel asked.

"We're in the middle of the 2nd floor. This section is called the black meadows." In front of all of them was a meadow full of black grass.

"Is it safe here," The others were raring to go.

"Mmhmm. From what I heard, there are monsters here. However, they aren't hostile unless we attack them. So don't do anything, Herrick, Melor." Keith had to warn these two people.

"Hey! Why did you say it to us?!" Melor groaned.

"Because the two of you would rush in head first without thinking," Keith answered calmly. If any monster appeared, they would go for the kill.

"..." The two had no retort to that.

"Okay! We can take a break now." Keith looked down at his watch. It was lunchtime now.

"I guess I should start cooking." The others nodded. They had been fighting for quite some time; they needed some food!

"Wait a minute, what about the lunchboxes?" Keith had made lunchboxes from there.

"I was going to give them out. But I'm going to do something else today."

"What are you planning to make?" Carolyn smiled.

"I think pasta would be interesting."

"Pasta?" It was a while since they heard that.

"But it's not going to be normal pasta. I plan to use a special ingredient to make the noodles." Keith grinned. He looked down and picked up the grass,

"I'm going to use this black grass." There were mounds of it right in front of them!

"Eh?!"

"These things are surprisingly edible," Keith smirked as he took a bite. It was slightly bitter with an earthy taste. This could definitely make something tasty with it.

"..." Is it?

Keith tapped the ground, and a stone table formed. Now, he could work on the pasta.

Keith grabbed the grass by the bundle. Cracking his knuckles, he used his wind magic and shredded it into black powder. He poured some water and kneaded it. Slowly, it became a round dough. After it did, he started to cut them into strings.

"Now to boil them."

"It's the waiting game now," The others groaned. This was the worst part about everything.

"I need to work on some other things as well." Keith smiled as he took some things out. He would dice some tomatoes and orc meat to make a light sauce. As he got to work on that,

"So good," The others couldn't help but sniff the air.

"Alright, I'm done with the food." Keith could tell the pasta was done, and the toppings were also perfect. Everyone started to eat like there was no tomorrow.

"Having a Keith is so great!"

"This is perfect!"

"We could have food any time we want."

"No more dried meat!"

"Is it really that bad?" Keith looked at them. He didn't think dried meat was that bad. It was mid. The others made it sound like it was the worst thing ever.

"Compared to your food, it's the worst thing ever," Melor declared. While they conversed,

"What the?" "Why are there so many monkeys?" The group was surrounded by a bunch of monkeys.

"Don't think about attacking them," Keith warned, noticing how some were going for their weapons.

"Eh?" "But they're getting too close."

"They're not going to attack us," Keith sighed. The monkeys were the only creatures in this section. They came forward because they were curious. Their action was harmless for the most part.

However, that would change if their group attacked.

"They have us in number." The number of these monkeys easily surpassed the amount they fought. All hell would break loose if they attacked them. They were in their home.

"..." The others paused. But they didn't stop their uncomfortable looks. They were being eyed so much.

The monkeys noticed it as well. These people who came to their dwellings were harmless. That caused the monkeys to move closer to them. But the one they got incredibly close to was Keith.

"OOO!" One monkey was daring enough to get next to Keith and stare at his food.

"Do you want?"
