Volume 6 Chapter 33: First Watch

Keith turned and noticed some adventurers on the side. It was a team of five. Seeing them was not a surprise. There were adventurers heading into different tunnels. Some arrived at the same spot as them. However, they didn't bother them.

"What's the matter?" Herrick sneered.

"Don't you know this is a C-rank Dungeon? Half-pints like you shouldn't be here."

"We can be here," "Who are you to tell us what we can and can't do." Alfia and Faelyn stepped up.

"A bunch of brats are looking to die, huh?!" "How about we help you out." The adventurers glared at them. The tension was something as both sides were about to fight.

"Enough." Keith shook his head, "Neither side is going to get anything if we fight with one another." They were in a dungeon. Wasting strength on one another was a fruitless effort.

"Is someone scared?" But the adventurers continued to look at Keith. It was weird because Keith was a head taller than them. Even when they tried to act tough, it looked awkward.

"Fine. As senior adventurers, we're going to let you off." The adventurers scoffed as they walked away from there.

"..." Are you guys really saying this?

"Let's go," Keith was unfazed as he pointed at a tunnel opposite where the adventurers went. As they walked, "Keith, you got to slug people like that!"

The person who brought this up was Melor. His expression was livid as he walked. He couldn't believe he would stand there and take them from them.

"It would have been a waste of our strength if we did," Keith shook his head.

"I could end them in a minute." Herrick crunched his knuckles.

"Oh no, I'm fully aware you could have ended them if we made a move." They had more people. Not only that, one person was enough to take them out.

"They were so weak."

"Then you should have let us go in." "That's the problem. I'm afraid you and Herrick would punch the daylights out of them." Herrick calmed down for the most part. But his strength could easily blast that guy's head off.

"If I let you go, I'm afraid you might kill them." Just the thought was enough to make him shiver.

"..."

"But those jerks are going to get it." Sarah was a little peeved. She could tell they were eyeing the girls like no tomorrow. It made her uncomfortable.

"They kept staring at the princess. I was ready to gouge their eyes out." Faelyn muttered.

"Faelyn, they kept looking at you as well." She wasn't the only one.

"Everyone needs to relax. We don't need to deal with them. They're going to shoot themselves in the foot either way." Keith shrugged.

"Eh?"

"The armor they're wearing and how they acted, they don't have what it takes to get through." Keith stated calmly, "Also, they went through the wrong tunnel. That's one of the worst ones." It was filled with archers and other sorts of monsters there.

"Too bad for them. I'm pretty sure they're screwed."

"..." Evil. The others backed away from Keith. The dark aura around him was something. And those words coming out of his mouth made it even more so. He was implying they were going to be done in by those monsters.

"Now, let's move forward!"

...

"Keith, are you sure this is getting more dangerous?" Herrick frowned. The group was heading to the third floor. However, it was mundane. He said before it was difficult. But it was anything but that; it was similar to the previous floor, with archers and soldiers.

"... It's supposed to be dangerous." Keith scratched his head. From what he was provided, the third floor was more challenging than the other floors.

It's probably because we're a lot stronger than average. Herrick and the others were D-rank lower. But their strength, on the other hand, was perhaps the same level as Groa. This dungeon here was for C-ranks.

It was not a surprise they could clear the floor through sheer power.

"We should set up camp now." Looking at the time again, it was time to base up and rest.

"Understood." Setting up camp was simple enough.

"Who's going to be the first to watch?" Alfia asked. They needed to figure this out.

"We should have people in each group who could sense monsters sooner." Those with high magic abilities would be able to sense them.

"That would be Me, Alfia, Sarah, Gabriel, Carolyn, and Faelyn." The six of them could use detection magic.

"How about we draw straws and decide who pairs up with who," Herrick suggested.
