Chapter 401 - 187 Ancient City Strategy (Please Vote, Asking for Monthly Tickets)_4
```
"Yes."
Hailbo was a perceptive child; he wouldn’t misjudge someone.
Even with a fool, Hailbo wouldn’t take them lightly.
"Furthermore, the battle at the ancient city."
"Hailbo, even though you are an envoy, this war is a good practical opportunity," Bailuo said, "go find Lyon. He’ll help you arrange participation in the battle."
"Alright, Your Majesty."
Hailbo stepped back. He wasted no time and headed straight to the Cursed Forest.
"Caw~~"
Crows cawed; rotten branches blocked Hailbo’s path. This was the land of curses, situated opposite the Magic Forest, on the western half of Yatun Island.
"Whoosh!"
Hailbo wasn’t afraid; he raised his head, Greedy World Power and Eye of Cataclysm opened, and his entire being emitted the Miracle Power of a foolhardy series.
These days, Hailbo had been thoroughly researching his abilities.
Whether separately or combined, Hailbo could now perfectly harness the three powers.
"Gurgle, gurgle gurgle."
There was a cabin in the Cursed Forest, looking gloomy and terrifying. Those unaware might think they’d entered the world of a horror film.
"Miss Sheila, Mr. Lyon?"
Pushing open the door, Hailbo saw the siblings and a pot steaming hot.
The cauldron wasn’t filled with some sort of broth but with a thick, blood-like liquid in which the faint outlines of human faces appeared, as if it were a pot of oil used to cook souls and evil ghosts in hell.
"Hailbo?"
Sheila was stirring the pot, seemingly conducting a dreadful experiment.
"By the king’s command, I’ve come to find Mr. Lyon."
"Hmm, His Majesty has told me about it."
Lyon approached Hailbo, "Your strength isn’t bad, Hailbo, particularly with my Greedy World Power. You’ve inherited quite a bit. So, how much of it are you planning to contribute to the battle?"
"Could you explain a bit?"
"Almost forgot you still don’t know the specific battle plans."
Lyon led Hailbo to the cauldron, "Look at this. What’s being cooked here are the consciousness fragments of our people of Yadun. They’ve been separated from their bodies, akin to a unique kind of spiritual split."
"Our current strength is still weak. His Majesty worries about casualties if we rashly go to battle."
"Thus, I’ve separated the consciousness fragments of those who want to participate from their bodies and placed them into my Greedy World Dreams."
"Consciousness can recover, as can the spirit. While those whose consciousness fragments have been separated will be greatly fatigued and need time to rest, it doesn’t harm their essence or have any side effects."
"Snap!"
With that, Lyon snapped his fingers.
The surrounding environment changed, and a figure emerged from the darkness, taking the form of Sheila.
"Has the battle begun?"
"Where is this? My cabin?"
Even though there was another Sheila beside her, the new Sheila still asked Lyon, "Brother, what’s the situation? Where is the enemy?"
"This is just an experiment."
The real Sheila spoke, immediately drawing the attention of the consciousness fragment. Before she could ask further, Lyon dismissed her.
"What about her?"
Hailbo asked, puzzled.
"She’s gone back into my ’power,’" Lyon explained, "These consciousness fragments share almost identical judgment and behavior patterns with their originals."
"I call them ’Blood Moon Hunters.’
[Blood Moon Hunter]
Description: A special type of soldier unit that the People of Yatun create by sacrificing and separating their consciousness fragments, and which Lyon then transforms to be capable of operating only within the Greedy World Domain."
"Blood Moon Hunters can be extinguished, but this doesn’t affect the original."
Once a consciousness entity dies, its experiences do not return to the original. Instead, the original must enter Lyon’s ’Dreamscape’ to retrieve their experiences through dreaming."
"In that case, it’s indeed very safe."
Even someone as powerful as the King of Aolai could only destroy a Blood Moon Hunter, unable to trace back to their original through the hunter.
```
This was Lyon’s ability, he could leverage this form to obtain a vast Blood Moon Army.
Of course, it was one-time use.
To use it again, one must let the People of Yatun fragment their consciousness again. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Fragmenting consciousness fragments leaves one very exhausted," Lyon said, "Even you, Hailbo, if you want to create a Heroic Level Blood Moon Hunter, your main body will instantly lose its combat ability and need several days to recover."
So this kind of Dreamscape battle actually wasn’t very cost-effective.
Fortunately, it was very safe.
Yatun needed to train soldiers, and Lyon’s Greedy World Dream came at the right time.
"How many people have participated now?"
"Everyone in the club has given me their consciousness fragments," Lyon said, "but most of them don’t possess the Greedy World Power, which is regrettable."
Entities materialized within the Greedy World Dream could only utilize Lyon’s power.
In other words, if an individual did not possess the Greedy World Power, like Nors, no matter how many consciousness fragments they threw in, the consciousness they could create might only be an Extraordinary Level Blood Moon Hunter, very weak indeed.
"My Greedy World Power is quite decent," Hailbo said after thinking. "Since we are going to battle, I definitely want to give my all. I would like to ask Mr. Lyon to help me create a Heroic Level hunter."
"Possible."
Lyon raised his hand, instructing Hailbo to relax: "Now, relax, don’t resist."
Hailbo possessed many Miracle Powers, Lyon could command the Greedy World, but he had no way to interfere with Avalon and Fairy Power, so Hailbo needed to actively open his consciousness.
"Hiss!!"
Hailbo had thought that stripping away consciousness fragments wouldn’t be that painful, but the sudden intense pain almost made him cry out in agony.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk."
Sheila had tasted the sensation of stripping away consciousness; a Heroic Level Blood Moon Hunter nearly equated to detaching 50% of the consciousness, as painful as ripping the soul apart.
Fortunately, the consciousness body was only a type of energy, similar to mental strength, not the soul itself.
As long as Hailbo rested properly, the Miracle Power would automatically help him recover from the mental damage.
"Huff~~ Huff~~~"
Hailbo was so pained he was covered in sweat, gasping heavily: "Why didn’t you tell me beforehand that stripping consciousness would hurt so much?"
"Telling you beforehand would have had you worried," they said.
"Now that the pain is endured, what’s left is to enjoy the benefits," he was told.
The Blood Moon Hunter would fight the battles, and that was all his own contemplation and struggle.
As for Hailbo himself, he only had to wait until after the event and sleep a night in Lyon’s Greedy World illusion to gain all the battle experience from the other party.
Such a wonderful opportunity, how was it different from pies falling from the sky?
The only regret was that, with Lyon’s current strength, he could only create Heroic Level Blood Moon Hunters; he was powerless to produce any at the Master Level.
"I, will go rest now."
Hailbo leaned on his staff, finding his legs weak, and his body’s Miracle Power felt as if it had been disabled.
"But. aren’t these side effects a bit too severe?"
Hailbo even worried if he went out to sea now, whether he would end up sleeping on the ship for several days.
"That’s why I said it wasn’t very cost-effective."
Apart from having an extremely high safety coefficient, the effects of the Greedy World Dream were not good. For Lyon alone, it was much simpler for him to act on his own.
However, Lyon wasn’t alone; he had many brothers and sisters to lead and level up with.
In the Ancient City dungeon, Bailuo had delegated authority to Lyon, making him the person responsible.
"I have high hopes for you, Hailbo," Lyon said, excited about Hailbo’s joining.
He couldn’t help it, most of the Blood Moon Hunters under his command were weak, like Sheila; Heroic Level hunters like Hailbo were few and far between.
"From now on, Hailbo, you will be my right-hand man, just like Sheila!"
"..."
Hailbo felt like he had been tricked; what happened to the plentiful talents? How come he could become the right-hand man?
But seeing the excitement in Lyon’s eyes, Hailbo thought it might be better not to ask.
Somehow, it seemed somewhat pitiable...
