Chapter 7
C7 – There Was No Cultivation Method or Technique Left
Amidst the bewildered stares of countless viewers, Jiang Que made his way to the thorny bushes on the Exile Planet with ease.
He harvested over a hundred Thorn Fruits, secured them with vines, and carried them back to his cave dwelling.
There, Jiang Que began his practice regimen.
Thorn Fruits whizzed from his hands, striking a rock at the cave’s entrance with precision.
After a minor adjustment to his throwing technique, he tuned into the fluctuations of Spiritual Energy and the shifting currents of the air around him.
Before long, he was fully engrossed in his practice.
“Is he training with throwing darts?”
“So that’s why he left the cave. He wasn’t after wild fruits but Thorn Fruits instead. He intends to use them as darts for long-range attacks against enemies.”
“He’s quite clever. The Thorn Fruits are ideal for darts in terms of hardness, sharpness, and shape.”
“Should he channel Spirit Power into his arm and use the Thorn Fruits like darts, targeting the vital spots of ferocious beasts, even the lower-level ones might not stand a chance.”
The audience finally grasped why Jiang Que had collected such a large stash of Thorn Fruits.
Yet, they were puzzled as to why he devoted so much time to perfecting his throw.
A day later, Jiang Que could consistently hit a fist-sized target from over ten meters away with a Thorn Fruit.
Still, he persisted in his practice.
More accurately, through relentless repetition, Jiang Que sought to grasp the nuances of using hidden weapons and the associated cultivation method.
In what seemed like a moment, over half a month had flown by.
The viewership in broadcast room number ten had plummeted from a peak of twenty to thirty million down to a mere five to six million.
The decline wasn’t due to dull content but rather because Jiang Que only replenished his Spirit Power when it was completely depleted, taking breaks as needed.
To the majority, it appeared Jiang Que had hit his peak and was searching for a new avenue of advancement.
This shift caused many to lose interest in the Chaos Spell.
After all, most lacked the innate ability to measure up to Jiang Que’s caliber.
In just half a month, Jiang Que had advanced to his current level, a feat that would take the average person around two years to achieve.
Moreover, practicing the Chaos Spell came with unpredictable risks.
After dedicating about half a month to mastering the Thorn Fruit, Jiang Que gained considerable insight into the unique properties of hidden weapons and their respective cultivation methods.
At a minimum, he was capable of devising a basic hidden weapon cultivation method.
His next step was to explore the flow path for the cultivation method.
The cultivation method would only achieve its full potential when properly integrated with the flow path.
Jiang Que grasped a Thorn Fruit, his eyes slightly closed. A wisp of Spirit Power left his Qi Sea, guided by his will, and traveled toward his right arm.
He attempted to channel the Spirit Power into an acupoint in his arm.
With his exceptional sensory ability and reflexes, he sensed an issue immediately and redirected the Spirit Power away from the acupoint.
Next, he tried channeling the Spirit Power into the second and then the third acupoint in his arm.
Continuously experimenting, he followed a similar process to the one he used when creating the Chaos Spell.
“Take a look at the scan. Jiang Que appears to be crafting a cultivation method akin to the Chaos Spell. He’s directing the Spirit Power into his acupoints,” someone observed.
“Could it be that he’s reached the limit with the Chaos Spell and is now looking to develop a new cultivation method?”
“No, the Spirit Power is moving toward his arm, and he’s still holding the Thorn Fruit.”
“Maybe he’s aiming to create a method that enhances the power of darts?”
“That seems highly probable!”
“Channeling Spirit Power into his arm could already significantly increase his strength, thereby boosting the dart’s force. If he does manage to invent a cultivation method that further amplifies the dart’s power, it would take it to a new level.”
“He once manipulated Spirit Power into his acupoints, perceiving the resulting changes, which led to the creation of the Chaos Spell. Now, he’s on to developing a method to augment the power of darts. His creativity knows no bounds.”
The audience in broadcast room ten couldn’t contain their amazement upon realizing Jiang Que’s intentions.
Time flew, and another half month went by.
Jiang Que ultimately succeeded in formulating a set of cultivation method pathways based on the attributes of hidden weapons.
Moreover, his sporadic cultivation practice enabled him to advance from Energy Condensation Stage Level 5 to Energy Condensation Stage Level 6.
He had shattered the audience’s speculations.
“I’ll name it the Flying Blade Spell! Now that I’ve reached Energy Condensation Stage Level 6, I should have some self-defense capabilities!”
Having not interacted with people for an extended period, Jiang Que found he had grown accustomed to talking to himself.
Thankfully, this phase was nearing its end.
He was ready to descend from the mountain!
Glancing at the barren cave, Jiang Que felt a surge of complex emotions.
He had spent nearly three months in this damp, shadowy cave.
In that time, he had developed the Chaos Spell and the Flying Blade Spell.
Now, as he prepared to depart, he felt a mix of reluctance, excitement, and anticipation.
He wound several vines around his waist, threading over a hundred Thorn Fruits onto them.
Jiang Que inhaled deeply and stepped out of the cave.
He had barely walked a few paces when he paused.
His plan was to head to the Green Tribe, seize the title of Patriarch, and then introduce the Chaos Spell there.
By doing so, he could establish dominance over the Green Tribe and gradually extend his sphere of influence.
The greater his sphere of influence, the higher the talent bonus from the Strongest Talent System would be. This would enable him to craft more advanced cultivation methods and accelerate his cultivation pace.
Only through such means could he continue to ascend.
The current issue was that he had no idea how to find the Green Tribe.
Ever since being expelled from his own tribe, he had lived in constant fear and unease.
He was utterly disoriented, wandering aimlessly.
Jiang Que had never ventured out to hunt. He couldn’t recall which direction the Green Tribe lay from the mountain. Thus, he was left to rely on chance.
He didn’t dwell on this too much. Even if he failed to locate the Green Tribe, discovering another tribe would suffice.
After all, in any tribe, strength commanded respect.
Resolved, he embarked on his new quest.
“What’s happening here?”
“Why do I get the feeling he’s planning to leave the cave for good?”
“He’s reached Energy Condensation Stage Level 6 and has mastered the Flying Blade Spell. Low-level ferocious beasts pose no threat to him. His departure from the cave isn’t shocking.”
“Indeed! Prolonged solitude can lead to psychological issues. But the question remains, why didn’t he etch the Flying Blade Spell onto the cave’s stone walls?”
The tens of millions of viewers in the live broadcast room were utterly baffled.
Most had no immediate plans to learn the Chaos Spell or the Flying Blade Spell.
Yet, many were resolute in their decision to start learning both spells if the side effects of cultivating the Chaos Spell proved manageable.
But without Jiang Que inscribing the Flying Blade Spell, how could they possibly learn it later on?
The massive unmanned warship on Exile Planet boasted the Human Race’s most sophisticated Scanner.
Thanks to the NB Ray Imaging, it could flawlessly render images from the planet’s core.
Once Jiang Que employed the Flying Blade Spell, he could effortlessly trace the route of Spirit Power through his meridians.
Still, Human Race technology had yet to crack the code on extracting human thoughts.
At best, the Scanner could deduce Jiang Que’s emotional state from a range of data but remained incapable of deciphering his thoughts.
Unless Jiang Que documented the Flying Blade Spell or spoke of it, they would remain in the dark.
Choosing not to learn the Flying Blade Spell for the time being was a judicious decision.
However, should they discover their inability to learn the spell, regret would undoubtedly ensue.
