Chapter 205: Ice vs Magma Part 1
[: 3rd POV :]
After eliminating the entire tribe, I made my way back to where the three Saintesses were standing.
As I approached, I couldn't help but chuckle at their stunned expressions.
Their eyes were wide, and their jaws hung agape, seemingly shocked by the spectacle they had just witnessed.
Even Katie and Liviana, who had seen my powers before, seemed taken aback.
"What are you guys gazing at?"
I called out to them, noticing that their minds were still grappling with the recent events.
"W-What just happened?"
Seraphina stammered, her voice trembling.
"I-Is that even possible?"
She pointed a trembling finger in my direction, seeking an explanation for the seemingly impossible feat.
I gave them a reassuring smile, "Well, it's just part of my powers and there's still more of it'' I said.
"Unbelievable..."
Seraphina uttered her words a mix of disbelief and amazement.
It was clear that witnessing the annihilation of an entire tribe had left an indelible mark on her.
"If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, there's no chance she'd believe someone could possess the power to wipe out a whole race.
Yet, here I am," I thought to myself.
"I guess that's Daniel for you, or should I say, as expected of him?"
Katie chuckled, finding my existence increasingly ridiculous.
The more she tried to understand me, the more mysteries seemed to unfold.
Rather than delving too deep into the enigma that was me, she chose to go with the flow.
Meanwhile, Liviana remained silent, her eyes fixed on me with an admirable gaze.
It seemed she was content with the idea that some mysteries were better left unsolved, and instead, she chose to appreciate the power that stood before her.
I paused for a moment, contemplating how much I should reveal.
"Well, let's focus on the task at hand. We have more places to visit''
Katie, always ready for the next adventure, grinned, "Alright, Lead the way!"
Liviana, her eyes reflecting a mix of awe and excitement, just nodded her head.
Seraphina, still processing the recent events, nodded silently, her curiosity piqued despite the shock.
Afterwards, the three Saintesses held my hand, ready for the next destination.
With a mere thought, I teleported us to the second location of the 2nd Tribe.
Immediately after we had arrived, their first reaction was a mixture of awe and terrify.
If the first location resembled crystal-like caves, this was an incarnation of Hell itself.
The ground beneath our feet was a searing red, mirroring the fiery sky above.
Volcanoes were erupting, and fiery tornadoes were raging around us, creating an apocalyptic atmosphere.
"What a place. Feels like where a devil would reside,"
Katie remarked, surveying the hellish landscape.
Liviana furrowed her eyebrows, expressing concern.
"If we do nothing, the fire will consume us," she warned, and even Seraphina nodded in agreement.
"This fire is nothing," I declared confidently.
In an instant, I manipulated and harnessed my powers to create a barrier of ice, a shield that would repel the relentless flames.
The barrier surrounded us, rendering the scorching environment powerless against our newfound protection.
The Saintesses, initially apprehensive, now looked at me with confidence.
The icy barrier shimmered around us, providing a temporary respite from the relentless flames of the demonic landscape.
"What kind of Tribe are we meeting?"
Seraphina couldn't help but ask, her curiosity mirrored by the other two Saintesses.
"If I'm not wrong, we're about to meet a Tribe that has long lived within magma itself,"
I responded, offering them a glimpse into the mysteries of the upcoming encounter.
My words intrigued them, and a sense of wonder filled the air.
"Lived within magma?"
Liviana raised her eyebrows, her disbelief evident.
"That's right. In fact, there are many tribes that possess unique and often mysterious abilities that we don't fully understand yet,"
I explained, referring to my knowledge of the future.
"If they could live within the magma, wouldn't that mean they are dangerous?"
Seraphina voiced her concern.
"Don't worry. If you're concerned about me being burned by them, there's no chance of it happening,"
I reassured confidently.
"If you have any doubts, just remember what happened to all of the tribe members we encountered before. I can handle it."
Recalling the recent events, Seraphina's confidence in my abilities grew, and any lingering doubts she had were dispelled.
With this trust, she no longer doubts me.
"It looks like we're about to meet them soon,"
I announced as we reached a colossal volcano, dwarfing the others we had encountered.
The intense heat radiated from its fiery depths.
"As usual, like previously, all of you take cover and hide,"
I ordered, and without hesitation, they obeyed my words.
However, they couldn't help but offer words of reassurance, moreover, I kept the Ice shield for them to dispel any magma that might injure them.
"Don't overdo it too much, Daniel," Katie said with a smile, expressing concern laced with confidence.
"Good luck, Daniel," Liviana added, her voice carrying a gentle encouragement.
"I trust that it will be the same as previously," Seraphina chimed in.
Without turning back, I walked forward with a smile, making my way towards the imposing volcano.
"Time to come out, you bastards,"
I smirked, my tone laced with confidence.
With control and authority over the earth, I stepped onto the red, burning ground.
Instantly, waves of earthquakes emanated from my every step, rumbling through the volcano as if it were on the brink of eruption.
The ground quaked in response to my command, setting the stage for what awaited within the fiery abyss.
As the volcano unleashed its wrath, rivers of molten magma cascaded down its fiery slopes.
The heat was intense, and the air shimmered with the scorching intensity of the eruption.
The ground beneath me quivered with each seismic convulsion, adding a surreal dimension to the impending battle.
Within the fiery maelstrom, the anguished screams of the magma creatures reverberated, creating an otherworldly symphony of chaos.
Their forms, born from the melding of molten rock and humanoid features, emerged like spectral shadows against the backdrop of the erupting volcano.
The sheer numbers were staggering, a relentless tide converging upon the disruption I had caused.
''Bring it on!''
Taunting them with a confident outstretched hand, the creatures, blinded by their fury, hurtled toward me, their molten bodies pulsating with an otherworldly glow.
Unaware of the powers I possessed, they believed this encounter to be a confrontation with a mere mortal.
This wouldn't even be a challenge, and as the first wave of creatures closed in, the first wave of battle happened.
At the same time, the eruption was like an epic background that would tell a story about a certain human clashing against creatures of magma.
As the molten creatures closed in, their fiery forms illuminated the fiery backdrop of the erupting volcano.
Unfazed by their overwhelming numbers, I embraced the power of ice, manipulating the very essence of this elemental force.
With a confident smirk, I held my breath, waiting for the right moment.
When the creatures were within striking distance, about a kilometre away, I released my held breath in a controlled burst.
What emerged was not the warmth of exhalation but an icy mist, a breath transformed into a freezing cascade of ice particles.
This glacial breath enveloped the creatures, an unexpected chill in the midst of the searing volcanic heat.
The result was a mesmerizing display.
It was like a domino effect of freezing, as each creature touched by the frosty breath succumbed to an icy paralysis.
Their once-fiery forms now stood as statues of frozen magma, caught in the delicate dance of frost.
With each frozen creature, the ground echoed with the sound of their frozen bodies dropping onto the ground.
The spectacle happened in seconds, and within a minute, the entire horde was immobilized.
The creatures of magma had no chance against my authority over ice.
But this was not the end.
Since they were monsters that belong to the Element of Fire, then, they had the right to be destroyed by the same element.
Raising my palm, I conjured a small orb pulsating with purplish flames.
With each passing moment, the intensity of the flames increased, the orb growing larger and more formidable.
Gathering the chaotic energies within, I compressed the seething fire into a concentrated sphere, a harbinger of impending destruction.
Swinging my hand towards the frozen horde, I released the orb with precision.
What followed was nothing short of cataclysmic.
The small orb expanded at an alarming rate, a voracious purplish flame devouring everything in its path.
Creatures, frozen in icy stasis just moments ago, now faced an onslaught of blistering inferno.
As the flames raged, the ground itself became a part of this incendiary spectacle, consumed by the relentless heat.
In the wake of the elemental onslaught, what remained was not a battlefield but a vast, charred expanse.
The once-frozen creatures were reduced to ashes, and the landscape transformed into a deep hole as it was consumed by the flame that I had released.
