Chapter 85: Chapter 85 Young Madam, Please Bear With It

Gu Qiangwei stood up, and after hearing Shen Mochen’s invitation, the scene of dining with Qin Sijue at Jueyuan suddenly appeared in her mind.

“No, I have some things to do tonight.”

“Then I’ll take you back.”

“No need, I drove here myself.” She smiled, tactfully declining.

Having said that, she turned and walked towards the tea restaurant’s entrance.

Shen Mochen’s gaze lingered until Gu Qiangwei’s figure had disappeared before he withdrew it.

From the city, she headed back to Jueyuan, arriving as night began to fall.

The car went straight into the garage. Gu Qiangwei hadn’t yet reached the front door when she was met by Uncle Qin coming toward her.

She paused, somewhat puzzled as she looked at the elderly butler approaching her.

“The Young Madam is back.”

Gu Qiangwei noticed that Uncle Qin’s voice was significantly quieter than usual, and his expression seemed off.

“What happened?” she asked calmly,

Uncle Qin’s face showed a trace of apology, “Young Madam, sorry to trouble you, but please enter through the side door and avoid the living room.”

Hearing the butler’s words, Gu Qiangwei’s expression slightly shifted.

Enter through the side door?

“Why?”

For a moment, Uncle Qin seemed to be facing a difficult situation, appearing somewhat flustered.

“The old commander is here, and with your current status, it’s probably best not to let him know of your presence.”

“The old commander?” Gu Qiangwei looked bewildered.

Uncle Qin nodded, “It’s the Young Master’s grandfather.”

Qin Sijue’s grandfather? But why refer to him as the old commander?

It sounded quite imposing; was he a military man?

“Young Madam, sorry for the inconvenience.” Uncle Qin smiled, harboring a deep fondness for Gu Qiangwei.

Gu Qiangwei smiled back, not minding taking the side door.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“It’s okay.”

With that, she turned and headed towards the villa’s side door.

Uncle Qin’s words had made it clear that she needed to hide herself, so she wouldn’t be discovered by Qin Sijue’s grandfather.

Entering through the side door, Gu Qiangwei indeed avoided the living room, instead heading to a side hall and staying in a storeroom.

Since the only hiding spot was there, and it was too hot outside, Uncle Qin must have considered this in deciding not to let her stay outside.

She tiptoed into the storeroom, then gently closed the door behind her.

Just as she closed the door, a striking figure passed in front of her, apparently heading to the kitchen.

Though it was only a brief moment, Gu Qiangwei clearly saw that it was a very noble woman with a delicate profile, who appeared to be about her age.

Why was there a young woman here?

“I don’t drink tea, may I ask where the water is?”

Just as she reached the side hall, she saw Uncle Qin, who had just entered, and the radiant woman spoke with a smile.

Seeing Nangong Feifei suddenly appear in the side hall, Uncle Qin was really startled!

Because she had come from the exact spot the Young Madam had just passed by.

Had these two not bumped into each other?

Ah, the old master had suddenly arrived today, bringing along the Nangong Family’s old chief and his granddaughter, and to make matters worse, the Young Master’s phone had been unreachable all this while, leaving him unsure how to handle the situation.

Facing Nangong Feifei, Uncle Qin smiled, “It’s in the kitchen; I’ll get it for you.”

With that, he turned and entered the kitchen.

Nangong Feifei did not say thank you, as in her view, a master never needs to thank a servant.

“Then, let’s settle this matter,” Mr. Qin, the old gentleman, said with a grin that his face could barely contain, picking up a royal jade pendant from the coffee table.
