Earth's Alpha Prime

Jay stood atop the Reality Emulator he had just stepped out of, his body free of injuries, the Centauri Kavach perfectly intact, and his stats and skills fully restored. His gaze swept over the chaotic scene before him: a volley of attacks closing in from all directions, the stampede of possessed Alpha Chosen rushing toward him, and the rising dust as if the ground itself trembled under their charge.

All of this was confined within a 100-meter temporal boundary, a space separated from the world outside. The Origin Glaive allowed Jay to alter the past, but only within a specific range. 

This limitation, however, brought a significant advantage—nothing outside the boundary could influence or even perceive what was happening within it. 

Moving leisurely, Jay avoided the countless attacks without urgency. The only threat among them was Wibbit's Legend Grade weapon, War Lance, which had the ability to autonomously lock onto its target and pursue it relentlessly even without its owner's guidance.

Jay decided to handle it in the most straightforward way possible. Activating║INVERSE║mode, his overall stats skyrocketed to 18,495, the peak of Tier-6. 

Ensuring his physical size remained the same by utilizing the Myth Grade skill║Scale Flux║, Jay reached out and caught the Lance mid-flight, stopping its movements through sheer brute force.

With his overwhelming strength, he hurled the Lance into a fiery pocket dimension accessible through his Myth Grade Passive Skill,║Hell Chamber║. Inside, the temperature soared to 1,000 degrees Celsius. 

While the flames weren't enough to reduce the Legend Grade weapon to molten scrap, they were sufficient to render it unusable for the duration of the battle, effectively neutralizing its threat.

With the War Lance dealt with, Jay shifted his attention to the possessed Alpha Chosen. Sending parts of his consciousness into the Spirit Spaces of multiple targets simultaneously, he identified the Possession Seeds embedded within each one.

Because Urzo was outside the temporal boundary, he had no knowledge of what was happening to his Possession Seeds. Unlike during the Temporal Relapses earlier, Jay didn't hold back this time.

There were 623 Alpha Chosen trapped within the temporal boundary. One by one, Jay destroyed the Possession Seeds within them, ensuring no trace of Urzo's influence remained. Even the seed remnants—Urzo's failsafe to re-establish possession—were obliterated.

MJ carried the heavy burden of meticulously scanning every nook and corner of each Spirit Space. Over time, his experience with detecting and dealing with seed remnants made the process increasingly efficient. 

Urzo, unintentionally, had made MJ's task easier by embedding the Seed Remanats in the same deep location within each target's Spirit Space.

With just 10 seconds left before the temporal boundary returned to the present, MJ identified the final remnants across all 623 Alpha Chosen. Acting swiftly, Jay obliterated them, severing the last threads of Urzo's influence in the closed space.

As the dust of his actions settled, Jay stood motionless, reflecting on the fight. He couldn't help but acknowledge his own missteps. It had been a mistake to underestimate Urzo's ability to craft a workaround for escaping his control. If Jay hadn't let go of Wibbit so hastily, Urzo wouldn't have had the opportunity to repossess him, nor would Jay have suffered such grave injuries.

Looking back, Jay realized that choosing the easier route—searching the Spirit Space of a nearby Tier-3 Alpha Chosen instead of thoroughly inspecting Wibbit's vast Spirit Space—had cost him dearly. 

While it confirmed his suspicions about Urzo's ability to withdraw and replant seeds, it also gave Urzo precious time to repossess Wibbit and unleash a devastating attack.

Other factors had contributed to his predicament, such as the debilitating debuffs and the Unique Talent that neutralized most of his active skills. But ultimately, it was his own carelessness that allowed Urzo to mount such a dangerous comeback.

Jay resolved to temper his confidence. Growing so strong in such a short period had made him overconfident, and that lapse in judgment nearly proved catastrophic. If not for the Origin Glaive and its ability to rewrite events in the past, Jay knew he would have been left with no choice but to rely entirely on INVERSE mode and fight for survival.

Moreover, without the Origin Glaive's temporal powers and the recent abundance to his overall stats, avoiding harm to others would have been near impossible. The collateral damage would have triggered penalties from the System for killing another participant during the Tournament, disqualifying him from the Final Tournament and shattering his chances of becoming an ALPHA PRIME.

Jay didn't dwell long on these thoughts. Acknowledging his mistakes, he resolved not to repeat them. He turned his focus toward the next steps, running through his plans with MJ. Together, they quickly finalized the approach with the highest probability of success. 

Jay braced himself as the temporal boundary began merging with the present, the 100-meter radius of separated time and space reconnecting with reality.

Meanwhile, Urzo, possessing Wibbit, watched in disbelief as Jay vanished from right in front of him. In the next instant, Jay reappeared atop the same Reality Emulator where he had completed his Round-1 Challenge, seemingly unscathed.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Before Urzo could process the sudden shift, an excruciating wave of pain erupted through him, like his brain was being torn apart. Possessed Wibbit fell from the metal disc hovering in the sky, crashing hard onto the ground. 

The simultaneous destruction of so many Possession Seeds overwhelmed Urzo's consciousness, leaving him incapacitated by the sheer intensity of the agony.

The pain was so unbearable that it consumed every corner of his mind. No coherent thought surfaced—not about how the Possession Seeds were destroyed, nor about how Jay, moments ago at death's door, could now reappear in his peak condition. Urzo could sense nothing but pain, his entire existence drowned in it.

Jay seized the opportunity. In a flash, he dashed toward the fallen Possessed Wibbit, locking onto him. With surgical precision, he took control of the Possession Seed embedded within Wibbit and directed MJ to scour the Spirit Space for the remnant Urzo had hidden.

But Jay didn't stop there. While maintaining his hold on Wibbit, his sharp gaze scanned the battlefield, ignoring the relentless attacks aimed at him. 

Thousands of Alpha Chosen, still under Urzo's influence, continued to launch their assaults. The Possession Commandments issued earlier compelled them to act, leaving them no choice but to follow the orders given before the battle started.

Even with Urzo incapacitated by pain, unable to issue new directives, the Alpha Chosen were forced to comply. Their bodies moved against their will, attacking Jay relentlessly, while their minds could only watch in silent despair, unable to resist the control exerted by the seeds planted within them.

Jay paid no heed to the torrent of attacks. His armor absorbed the impacts, and his focus remained unshaken. His search soon led him to the one he was looking for—the holder of the Unique Talent,║NEUTRALIZER║.

Jay's eyes locked onto his target. A slight grin spread across his face as he whispered under his breath, "Found you!"
