Chapter 6067: You’re Having A Good Time As A Ghost
“Give me that painting from Desolate Ancestor.” Li Qiye tossed Six-sense Pagoda over to Final Desolate God.
This took the latter by complete surprise because it came too fast and too easy. Other spectators stared at Li Qiye as if he was a fool.
“There’s something wrong with his brains.” An expert whispered.
“A mortal can’t recognize anything, he didn’t know the disparity.” Another said.
“Idiot, giving up a free meal.” A big shot felt frustrated at the wasted potential.
Desolate Ancestor was certainly superior to Six-sense Ancestor. However, the comparison was between a sealed painting and a primal artifact. No one could ever open the seal anyway.
Final had the painting for so long and couldn’t remove the seal. Thus, a mortal had no chance as well so it had as much use as a piece of scrap paper.
Some would be shouting in jest if they didn’t fear Final’s power, being kind enough to tell Li Qiye what an idiot he was and to stop the deal.
“Good, good, please accept this, Young Noble.” Final was ecstatic and immediately handed the base over to Li Qiye.
He was afraid of Li Qiye changing his mind but felt bad about the whole thing.
“Are you in need of anything else?” He felt that he was taking advantage of the poor guy. The painting had a special origin but the seal drastically lowered its value.
“You don’t have anything else that’s worthwhile.” Li Qiye said.
Final looked a bit awkward. As a powerful desolate god, he never took advantage of anyone until now.
“Thank you, Young Noble. You have done our sect a great favor, we shall be celebrating the return of our legacy.” He bowed and couldn’t change his mind since the pagoda was crucial to his sect.
“Hmph.” Ouyang Dragon God waited long enough and glared at Li Qiye: “Brat, it’s time to settle the score between us.”
As a desolate god at the stately stage, his aura overwhelmed most of the crowd and forced them to their knees.
Final didn’t appreciate this and waved his hand.
“Bam!” Ouyang Dragon God stood no chance and staggered backward, vomiting a mouthful of blood.
“Ruin my mood again and I will kill you.” Final was intimidating despite his youthful appearance. Only Ancestor Kundali was his match in Sin.
Ouyang Dragon God shuddered since he was utterly outmatched. Thus, he glared at Li Qiye one last time before leaving.
“Show’s over.” Final glared at the crowd.
His words carried supreme authority so they immediately left as well.
Once they were gone, he bowed and said: “Young Noble, please let us know if we can be useful in the future.”
“Go.” Li Qiye smiled and waved.
Final bowed one more time before leaving, satisfied since he had accomplished his goal.
With everyone gone, Li Qiye smiled at the middle-aged ghost: “You’re having a good time as a ghost.”
“I’m already one so might as well go with the flow.” The man smiled.
“You can return to being a person.” Li Qiye said.
“Sir, the truth is that I have little worries right now compared to before.” The man paused for a second before answering earnestly.
“Are you sure you’re a ghost?” Li Qiye asked.
“Sometimes I cannot tell, is there a difference between people and ghosts?” He said.
“A person can leave this place.” Li Qiye said.
“That makes no difference to me.” He responded.
“You still yearn for the past, there are things you deem worthy, they’re just not in the mortal right now.” Li Qiye said.
“Yes, that is why I don’t mind staying in this market.” He said.
“And no more desires and pursuits?” Li Qiye asked.
“Nothing from the mortal world, Sir.” He said.
“Then why are you performing exchanges here? Is it for yourself or someone else?” Li Qiye said.
The man’s expression changed and let out a sigh instead of answering.
“I am a willing participant. This is my end of the bargain and I will enjoy it.” He eventually replied.
“At least you are taking responsibility without changing your mind, it shows you were prepared.” Li Qiye said.
“Yes, Young Noble, so I’m making the best of the situation.” He said.
“Not bad, your mentality exceeds many progenitors. It’s a shame.” Li Qiye praised.
