Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 381 The Miserable Death of the Crimson Shadow Bandits - Part 3

Wu Xia, followed by Mr. Hu, came out of the Celestial Heavenly Store, shock still written on their faces. What they saw inside the store left them stupefied.

Just after paying Zhan Mu one gold coin, they saw a team of men carrying a large beast into the store, radiant smiles plastered on their faces.

The beast might not have been powerful, but killing it was extremely difficult since it lived deep in the Boiling Desert, dreaded by humans.

The Fire Horned Lizard.

The Fire Horned Lizard was a valuable resource that was sought after in the big cities. Those who had the money to buy it could rarely find it in the market.

Especially those from the mixed race— they craved it because the heart and blood of the Fire Horned Lizard could help awaken their fire bloodline.

Previously, many people came to the Boiling Desert to hunt the Fire Horned Lizard, only to lose their lives to the terrifying boiling magma.

As a result, no one dared to hunt the Fire Horned Lizard any longer. And here they were, witnessing such a rare beast being carried into the store.

As members of a merchant clan, how could they not be stunned? If they could bring the Fire Horned Lizard back to the clan, only the heavens knew how much wealth they would make.

Apart from the enormous wealth, their clan's influence with the mixed-blood race would increase significantly.

"Young Miss, we can't let this opportunity slip away," Mr. Hu whispered solemnly.

Turning to look at the entrance of the store, Wu Xia squinted. "Have you ever heard of the Celestial Heavenly Store?"

"Hmm?"

Confused, everyone turned their heads and looked at the intimidating nameplate in front of the store.

"No," Mr. Hu responded, shaking his head.

"Let's find an inn, and from there, we can gather information about the store and plan our next move," Wu Xia commanded.

It would be a lie if she said she wasn't interested in the Fire Horned Lizard, but this wasn't their territory. The fact that Zhan Mu was confident enough to demand payment in that store said a lot.

While Wu Xia and her group searched for an inn, news of the first team to successfully hunt a Fire Horned Lizard spread throughout the city.

Inside a restaurant, on the second floor, the Crimson Shadow Bandits sat with fury etched on their faces.

"Have you found them?" the bandit leader demanded angrily.

"Leader, I found traces of them in the city, but I haven't yet located their exact position," a thin young man replied quickly, clearly scared of his leader's anger. "In half a day, I'll find them. They can't escape me."

As the bandits discussed their target, a group of men entered the second floor, talking loudly with faces full of amazement.

"Who would have expected the Double Spear Team to be the first to hunt the Fire Horned Lizard?" a burly man exclaimed, shocked and jealous.

"Indeed, no one saw that coming."

"After we rest today, we'll hunt for the Fire Horned Lizard tomorrow."

"Did you just say the Fire Horned Lizard?!"

A man appeared before the group out of nowhere, shock and greed written all over his face. His voice was filled with impatience as if he couldn't wait to get his hands on the Fire Horned Lizard.

These adventurers might not know the value of the Fire Horned Lizard, but how could he not? Compared to the value of the Fire Horned Lizard, the Wu clan's young miss could die for all he cared.

Looking at the strange man, the group of adventurers halted, frowns appearing on their faces.

"Man, what's the meaning of this?" one of the adventurers demanded coldly.

"You just need to tell me where you found the Fire Horned Lizard, and I'll let you go," the bandit leader said, his words domineering.

The group looked at the bandit leader strangely and told him the location of the Celestial Heavenly Store. They couldn't help but wonder where this strange man had come from.

However, that had nothing to do with them, as their minds were set on hunting the Fire Horned Lizard.

As for the bandits, they rushed out of the restaurant, faces filled with greed and anticipation. If they could return to their hideout with such a rare beast, their boss would be delighted, and perhaps they'd be promoted.

Arriving in front of the Celestial Heavenly Store, the Crimson Shadow Bandits barged in, uncaring of the people around them.

"Bring out the Fire Horned Lizard, or you'll pay with your life," the bandit leader shouted arrogantly, releasing the aura of a Master Martial Artist.

Instantly, the lobby fell silent, and all eyes fixed on the Crimson Shadow Bandits. From their attire, it was immediately obvious they weren't from the city.

The shocked expressions of the adventurers quickly turned into amused smiles. They averted their gazes from the foolish intruders and began placing bets amongst themselves.

"Let's bet on their heads."

"Heads are too easy, let's go for their arms."

"No, no, let's bet on how long they'll last."

The lobby descended into a chaotic frenzy of adventurers betting on how long the intruders would survive.

Watching this, the Crimson Shadow Bandits were stunned. This was not the situation they had expected.

With three Master Martial Artists and over ten First-Rate Martial Artists, they believed they had the right to act unruly in this forsaken city. But reality was proving to be very different from their expectations.

"Do you want to die?" the bandit leader shouted, his powerful aura pressing down on everyone in the lobby.

But to his dismay, the adventurers didn't feel any discomfort. Instead, their grins deepened as they eagerly placed their copper and silver coins on bets.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

The bandits were furious. When was the last time weak ants dared act so pompously in front of them? Opening his mouth, the bandit leader was ready to give the kill command when heavy footsteps echoed through the lobby.

From the opposite door, five Knights emerged, their armor and weapons glistening with the aura of death.

Watching the Knights, all the adventurers held their breath, faces filled with awe and excitement. They had long heard of the terrifying power of the Knights but had never witnessed it.

Now, they would finally get the chance. Your next chapter is on empire
