Fallen Fate Online

Chapter 212 The Passage

Sometimes you didn't have to actually do it to win. Sometimes, it was the one who simply decided not to give up until the very end that won. Zayne did just that, despite all his wounds and inability to defeat his opponent, he chose not to give up.

In fact, that's exactly what he had to do, for his reinforced spear fought against him, while he himself was wounded. He had no skills or weapons, only the will to fight.

Whoooooooooooosh.

The copy disintegrated into energetic particles that headed in different directions. White energy began to form some kind of object next to Zayne, while blue streams covered his body.

At the same moment, Zayne's wounds began to heal faster, as if he had drank a very powerful potion, but that was even better since there were no side effects from such treatment.

The only energy left was Chaos Energy. It hovered over Zayne as if waiting for the right moment to come.

"Agh...!" After a while Zayne came to, with pulses of pain that spread throughout his body.

However, he immediately felt relieved and pleasantly light; he felt as if he had just gone not through a serious fight, but a week's rest on an island paradise.

"Wow... Did I somehow manage to get through this ordeal...? Was my last punch a success? Yeah, it looks like it." Zayne muttered with a slight nod before looking around.

The copy was gone, there was nothing left of it, but, now there was a white portal next to him that led to some unknown place.

"Portal...? Well, there had to be some way out of here, didn't there?" Zayne muttered, scratching the back of his head.

He walked slowly towards the portal, not noticing the red lights of the Chaos Energy hovering behind him.

Whoooooooooosh.

As Zayne approached the portal and was about to enter it, scarlet lights flew into his back. For a moment he felt an unusual pain, but, then everything in front of him went dark, and he fell straight into the portal.

Part of Zayne's body remained in the darkness, but the portal spread out and covered Zayne completely before disappearing.

...

From the moment Zayne entered the capsule, about thirty minutes passed. At that time Alex and Alice had time to rest and discuss some things, so they were about to leave Galahan's house. They each had their own things to do, especially Alice because of what had happened the day before.

As someone connected with politics, she needed to be involved in all the important events to get the latest information and keep her influence.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

As soon as they stepped into the elevator, the whole floor trembled. The massive chandelier in the center of the room swayed from side to side, while expensive paintings fell from the walls.

"What the hell! Was there supposed to be an earthquake today?" Alex spoke, leaning against the wall to keep from falling due to the violent shaking.

"No! That's impossible! The last earthquake this powerful was over ten years ago! I have no information about it! It's definitely something else!" Alice exclaimed, running out of the elevator. Alex with a complicated expression followed her.

They didn't understand what was going on since there was only Zayne on the whole floor beside them, who should have been in the capsule by now and playing Fallen Fate Online.

...

When Alice entered Zayne's room her eyes went wide as well as goosebumps covered her whole body.

Alex looked the same; he couldn't believe what he saw.

In Zayne's room, instead of a capsule, there was now a massive portal, with energy flows that swirled around it like a mad vortex. The pressure from the portal was so powerful that the walls cracked, and dust sprinkled from the ceiling as if the room could collapse at any moment.

Whooooooooooooosh.

Suddenly, the portal closed abruptly as a silhouette fell out of it. It was Zayne; he was unconscious, lying on the ground. At the same moment, the shaking stopped, and the pressure disappeared as if nothing had happened.

"What the hell happened here...?" Alex muttered, looking at Zayne with a worried expression, "Is he hurt?"

"No... It's unlikely... I don't know why, but I feel a strange aura from him like he's different from us now. I don't know how to explain it, but it's the first thing I thought of." Alice sighed while shaking her head, "Damn, something happened to him again. Is it really going to be like this forever?"

"Hah, that's good for us, isn't it?" Alex grinned, "Well, let's hope he wakes up soon. By the way, where did he get that coat?"

Alice's eyes went wide as she only now realized that Zayne was wearing completely different clothes. When he walked into the capsule, he was wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans, however, now he looked like a hermit with a long dark blue coat.

Crackle.I think you should take a look at

Suddenly, Zayne's hand moved as he opened his eyes. He looked around, not immediately noticing Alice and Alex, and shook his head.

"Shit, am I ever going to be able to play Fallen Fate normally again or not? Every time something happens..." Zayne complained, then he met Alice and Alex's eyes.

They looked at him as if they had seen a ghost, as they slowly began to realize why all this had happened and what the consequences were.

"Agh... I'm not in Fallen Fate... Wait, what is this?" Zayne was puzzled as he looked at the dark ring on his finger. Such a thing did not exist in the real world, only in Fallen Fate.

"Zayne... Can you use it...?" Alex asked in disbelief, "Damn... Did we get to the last stage so fast."

"Mhm?" Zayne gave him a puzzled look, "The last stage?"

"None of that matters now. Do it." Alice said seriously as she crossed her arms over her chest. She stared at Zayne intently, as if the fate of the world depended on his actions.

Zayne nodded, wondering if he could do it himself.

Whoooooooooooooosh.

As soon as he thought of one particular thing, the ring glowed brightly, and a long sword with a dark blade and many purple runes appeared in his hands.

Alex and Alice were speechless, and so was Zayne. He made it effortlessly, the same way he did in Fallen Fate, there was virtually no difference.

"Well... Looks like the two worlds are completely connected now, doesn't it?" Zayne asked as he looked at Alice and Alex.

Alice nodded, "There's only one thing left to do. Try to use a skill somehow, it doesn't matter what it is, any one will do."

Players could use skills without difficulty if they had activated Chaos Coin before, however, Alice wanted to see something else.

"I see... I'm curious to know that, too." Zayne muttered, staring at his sword, then his eyes flashed.

At the same moment, the sword was covered in a dense layer of blue energy. Zayne had no limits now, he could do the same thing in the real world as he did in Fallen Fate. He was the first to have that privilege.

"Fine, even though we didn't expect it, the fact that it happened now is a good thing." Alex nodded with a serious expression, "It's valuable information and we're lucky to be the first to know about it. It will be especially good for you, won't it?"

Alex looked at Alice.

"Yeah, I can use it as a trump card..." Alice nodded, "However, Zayne, how did you do that?"

Zayne shrugged, "I don't know. As soon as I got in the capsule, and went into Fallen Fate, I was in some dark space. Then, I was attacked by fire knights and an invincible enemy."

"An invincible enemy...?" Alex asked with a confused expression.

Zayne nodded, "It was a hard fight, or rather a trial, however, in the end, I somehow won. At least I think so. Then, a portal opened, and here I was. There's not really much I can tell you, it's all too weird."

Alice and Alex exchanged a look.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

Suddenly their phones trembled as several messages appeared on their screens. Alice and Alex quickly checked it, and their eyes went wide.

The news showed a bright white flash that appeared in Elein's house, just as the reporters who were nearby, and waiting for her to leave the house felt a strong earthquake. However, everything in the city was calm, it was a local case, which from the point of view of science was impossible.

Such small and short earthquakes could not exist.

In the comments, people began to discuss what it was. Everyone had his own version, people tried to guess and find an answer. However, they were all wrong since only Alex and Alice knew exactly what it was.

"I see... Now all the stages have become clear. Given that it happened to you two after your fight on the bridge, the answer is obvious." Alice said with a deadly serious look.

Alex sighed, "Damn... That's pretty disappointing. We know what needs to be done, every step of the way, and yet we don't know how."

Zayne was surprised.

'A portal has opened up for Elein, too? Hmm, it was probably going to happen to some other people now, wasn't it?' Zayne pondered as he looked out the window, at the city.
