Fire Mage

Chapter 549 Sealed

Chapter 549: Sealed

Meanwhile, Hayden spread his eerie-black wings wide open, locked his gaze on Charles, and spoke coldly.

"Don't think you won easily."

Simultaneously, he flew backward and arrived next to the other robed Mages.

One of them got affected by the earlier ice spell and had already frozen into a statue.

On the other hand, the other three black-robed mages had cast protective spells around them and blocked the ice from affecting them.

Once Hayden arrived next to them, he glanced at the nearby mage and spoke.

"It's better to leave now."

At that moment, another mage on his left side waved his hand and tried to create a bluish portal.

"Don't-"

Hayden tried to stop him from casting the spell, but it was too late.

The next instant, a pillar of light descended from the sky like divine punishment, crashed onto everyone, and killed them on the spot.

Their bodies were all disintegrated into pure white light particles.

Meanwhile, Elder Seer looked up at the defensive array enveloped the sky, curled his lips upward, and muttered with a smile.

"The array structure is not so easy to be fooled. It is also like a Tower Spirit and has a will on its own."

"It has its own will?" It was Charles's turn to be surprised.

"Why not? You think the one who created this Miracle City and the array system is not even powerful enough to create such a thing?" Elder Seer said with a chuckle and added.

"You've only seen the drop of the ocean, young man. These guys must have used an artifact to block the defensive array circle's particular function. If I'm not wrong, that particular function must be 'Kill Detect Function.' That's how they openly showed their killing intent and even used attack spells to assassinate me. But that one mage seemed to have forgotten that 'Long-Move Prohibition Function' is still active."

On the other hand, Charles raised his eyebrows in confusion and asked.

"But why didn't I get targeted by this function when I cast the [False Blink] spell to move earlier?"

"Blink spell won't cause much disturbance in the space, young man. Those types of spells come under the 'Supportive Spells Section.' [Space Walk], [Blink], [Wind Steps], [Fate Swift], [Floating] spell and even the Rank-5 [Dimension Creation] spell would come under this section. But if you use a [Fly] or [Teleportation] spell to move far away and cause disturbance to the surroundings, the array system could consider that act as a system breach and kill you. Even I have to abide by the rules." He paused for a moment and then added.

"As long as you don't cause too much disturbance in space, the defensive array won't act."

"Interesting." Charles nodded his head in understanding and asked a series of questions.

"Do you have any solution for my current problem? How can I break this Time-Loop spell? Moreover, how can I stop Professor and others from assassinating you and others? What's their main goal?"

Meanwhile, Elder Seer also showed a troubled expression on his face and shook his head.

"I don't know. There seems to be a big conspiracy going on. The Destiny Conquerors... Demigod Miguel... Professor..." He suddenly paused, looked at Charles, and asked.

"Are you sure he is an otherworldly God?"

"Yes. The Professor in this Miracle City is nothing but an avatar. But one shouldn't underestimate his strength." Charles responded calmly and went silent.

Meanwhile, Elder Seer showed a grim look, activated his [Seer's Search] skill, and searched for the loopholes in the future itself.

"Something is blocking me from looking afar. It's not the defensive array system but something else." He frowned deeply.

"It might be the Black Pillar's ability. I also sensed a unique power around it." Charles spoke as he thought of the mysterious black pillar in Dew Street's mansion building.

Elder Seer raised his eyebrows in suspicion and was about to say something but suddenly froze.

He seemed to have recalled something and soon widened his eyes.

But he hurriedly returned to his calm self, let out a heavy sigh, and spoke.

"They are definitely after Demigod Rafael's position, young man. But your strength is not enough to change the future of this City. You should 'surrender' to Professor the next time and let him break the 'Time-Loop' spell. After that, you should stay in a safe place and escape this calamity."

Before Charles could even speak a word, Elder Seer suddenly raised his hand, touched his chest, and muttered.

"Frozen Touch."

A moment later, a dense ice elemental power filled with essence came out of Elder Seer's palm and enveloped Charles's body like wildfire.

What startled him greatly was that none of the twenty visions in his left eye showed this future!

Charles felt that his thoughts, consciousness, body, and even soul slowly started to freeze by this strange ice-essence power.

'N-No! He... is... sealing... me!'

Realizing the seriousness, he instantly cast the [Rebirth Body] spell on himself, but nothing changed due to the excessive ice elemental energies.

'Sh*t!'

That was the last thought that appeared in his mind before he got frozen in ice.

Alas, he did notice that a strange cloud entered his Inner World and gave him new memories.

In the meantime, Elder Seer turned his gaze towards the nearby frozen carriage and spoke coldly.

"You can come out now."

The next instant, the frozen carriage gate suddenly shattered, and soon a young man in his late twenties jumped out from it. He appeared to be around 180 cm high, had an oblong face, slightly longer black hair, wide-set emerald eyes, and even had a hook mustache.

He currently wore a double-breasted waistcoat, pince-nez glasses, and a bowler hat on his head.

He was none other than Professor.

He calmly raised his hand, adjusted the glasses, and smiled politely.

"We meet again, Elder." He bowed his head and greeted him.

On the other hand, Elder Seer showed a solemn look and asked cautiously.

"What are you scheming?"

Meanwhile, Professor showed a smirk and took out a strange mirror from his pocket.

Simultaneously, he raised his left hand and snapped his fingers.

A moment later, an invisible ripple came out of Professor's body, spread towards the surroundings, covered the 100-meter radius area in a blink, and froze everything first.

It was a unique spell similar to the 'Time Stop.'

But instead of manipulating the power of 'Time,' this spell could let the user control the Fate of the objects and give multiple advantages.

The user could slow down, speed up, or even reverse the 'Time' itself in that domain!

It's called Fate World.

Professor calmly opened his mouth, muttered something, and disappeared from there.

He appeared next to frozen Charles a moment later, nodded his head, and shifted his gaze towards Elder Seer.

Then, he calmly raised the mirror, let it touch Elder Seer's head, and turned him into a pure transparent crystal statue.

Then, he shifted his attention towards Charles and muttered.

"Although using this spell would reveal my identity to the Time Angel, I have no other choice now."

He moved two meters away from Charles, dropped the mirror on the dirt road, and added.

"Floor."

A crystalline layer appeared as the mirror touched the road and created a glassy road.

"Nice."

He nodded inwardly and created more than 20,000 illusionary rune characters out of thin air.

Then, he used his thoughts to control those characters, let them move toward the glassy road, and created a unique magic array circle.

Then, he opened his mouth, recited a mysterious chant for thirty minutes, and activated the array.

Alas, nothing happened.

"Failed." He muttered solemnly, erased it quietly by waving his hand, and recreated another array.

He followed the same procedure for the next 45 hours in the frozen domain and finally noticed a change when he started creating the 34th array circle.

As the rune characters moved towards the glassy floor and formed a unique array circle, the whole glassy road suddenly made a creaking noise and even shone in a golden light.

A smile appeared on Professor's face as he saw this change.

He hurriedly opened his mouth and recited the incantation in a mysterious language.

But just as he recited the fourth verse, a glass-breaking sound came from behind and caused him to furrow.

Still, he continued to recite the incantation and, at the same time, turned around to take a look.

At that moment, the ice layer that covered Charles's body started to crack in multiple places and soon broke into countless pieces.

Those ice pieces floated in midair due to the strange 'Fate World' spell effect and slowly moved away, revealing a flame human to Professor's eyes,

It was Charles in his elemental form!

Charles blinked his eyes flame eyes and soon curled his lips upward.
