Chapter 635: Chapter 635 In Love Every Day_1
Purple Summers stayed in the hospital for three days, and Alexander Summers only visited her on the first day, after which he did not return to the hospital again.
Atra Blanc had a few complaints about this, suspecting that Alexander might be entangling himself with another young girl outside.
After all, Alexander’s reputation had always been so poor that even the recent improvement over the last six months couldn’t keep Atra Blanc from having suspicious thoughts.
Although dissatisfied with her son’s flirtatiousness, as long as her daughter’s reputation remained intact, Atra Blanc breathed a silent sigh of relief.
After the mother and daughter returned home, Purple noticed that two trees near their small Western-style house were gone, replaced by two clusters of rose bushes.
The leaves on the roses were still withered, a clear sign that they had just been planted not long ago.
Atra Blanc complained at her side, “I told him not to plant trees before; they not only block the view but also the sunlight. He wouldn’t listen. Now that summer is here, just when we need shade to cool off, he goes and chops down the trees…”
Purple listened silently, lips curved into a smile.
Although she was unclear about the intention behind planting and cutting down the trees, Purple had an intuition that it must have something to do with her.
Thinking about how that person could endure so much, he had never mentioned saving her up until now, instead silently protecting her without making a sound.
How can Alexander be so selfless?
Humph, he’s not selfless at all. This man, he’s the most capable of using favor to seek recompense.
Purple’s thoughts spun round and round, and somehow, she found herself missing him.
Back in her room, while Atra Blanc was away, Purple called Alexander.
Once the call connected, it was noisy on the other end, with the sound of a broadcast heard amidst the clamor.
Purple paused, bewilderedly asking, “Are you at the airport?”
“Hmm, I came here to see off Lily Howard and Sarah,” Alexander said.
The original plan was for four people to go to France together, but Purple suddenly fell ill, and the plan fell through, leaving only Lily Howard and Sarah to return to France as scheduled to nurture their pregnancies.
Purple remembered Alexander mentioning going to France to register for marriage. Now that he couldn’t go, would he be very irritated?

Strange, why did she take a peculiar delight whenever she imagined Alexander in a fit of rage?
“When will you be back?” Purple asked him.
There was a hint of laughter in Alexander’s voice, “Missing me?”
Purple stood by the window, looking down at the two clusters of rose bushes below. She hadn’t noticed anything special before, but now, looking down from above, she could see that they were in the shape of two hearts.
One was his, and one was hers.
The corners of Purple’s mouth couldn’t help but lift into a sweet smile.
“I do not miss you!” she laughed.
“Purple, you’re not being honest,” Alexander said.
Purple retorted, “You’re the one who’s not honest. You’re dishonest from head to toe!”
From the other end of the phone, Alexander’s low chuckle came through, warm and deep, gently weaving into Purple’s ears, making her cheeks heat up.
“I won’t talk to you anymore, I’m going to read a book!” Her face flushed, she forcefully hung up the phone and then covered her heated face, taking a while to come back to her senses.
They hadn’t really talked about anything…
And yet her reaction was so strong…
“Annoying,” muttered Purple softly, not even sure what she was complaining about.
…
Purple read books all day and took a good nap in the afternoon; she was in great spirits.
She didn’t feel any dizziness anymore.
While reading, a faint fragrance of roses surrounded her, sweet, light, almost imperceptible, like her current mood, indescribably light and flitting.
But she knew it must be an illusion.
The roses under the window had just been transplanted, their buds not yet bloomed; how could she possibly scent the fragrance?
The heart in love plays tricks…
“Alexander Summers, begone, begone! Focus on reading!”
A jolt in her heart, Purple quickly gathered her wits, refusing to continue being lovesick.
“The illegal detention and deprivation or restriction of citizens’ personal freedom by other means are prohibited… ‘Constitution’ Article thirty-eight… The dignity of the citizens shall not be violated… ‘Constitution’ Article thirty-nine…”
The room echoed with the sound of recitation.
