Game Lord's Cultivation System

Chapter 223 Spooky Skeletons (3)

As Jiang Ming continued to be chased by the spooky skeletons, he had subtly noticed the number had shortened by a large margin.

This goes to show that his diversion had managed to fool most of them and had been trapped.

'Hmm, at this rate, I should be able to place them all in the designated location.' Jiang Ming thought, his eyes focused on the map.

Without the system assisting him and showcasing all the important points on the map, Jiang Ming was sure that he would probably be stuck here for months before he could actually figure out the correct method.

Time slowly passed by, and Jiang Ming finally diverted the final batch of the spooky skeletons to a nearby wall. Once they entered the wall, Jiang Ming hurriedly used his Moonstow Flame to enshroud them and trapped them with debris.

The Moonstow Flame was something born by heaven and does not require any spiritual qi to utilize. Thus, it was relatively easy for Jiang Ming to maneuver around without feeling threatened.

"Phew, that must be the most daunting task I have ever done since arriving here." Jiang Ming wiped his sweat and smiled proudly.

The hard part about this was distributing the number of spooky skeletons and having enough of them to activate the final key. If he were to miss just a singular number, then the final key might not activate, prompting him to redo the entire process.

He stayed for another few minutes while his attention was focused solely on the map provided by the system.

The map started showing a particular blinking area, indicating that he had succeeded in the task, and was about time he returned to the women's side.

"Heh, I wonder if any of them are missing me dearly." Jiang Ming laughed cheekily. Though he doubted they would actually miss him and that they would be more concerned about leaving the puzzle domain.

Sometime later, he made a huge detour to return to their side just to avoid causing any noise and agitate the spooky skeletons further.

When he returned, Yuan Chunhua was on the verge of crying, causing Jiang Ming to raise his eyebrow in confusion.

The next moment though, he glared angrily at Chen Yanmu and Elder Feiling, thinking that they must have bullied Yuan Chunhua.

"Hmph, Yuan Chunhua was kind enough to let the two of you live yet you bullied her??!" Jiang Ming's sudden outburst caused the women to be dumbfounded.

However, Jiang Ming didn't care and unleashed his Moonstow Flame, ready to burn the two of them alive. Now that he had secured the pathway to leave, the two of them were no longer of use to them.

Originally, he had thought there was a requirement of sacrificing someone, but he had not seen such hints throughout their journey.

Hence, he concluded the puzzle domain was different from the one he used to explore in Cultivation Omega.

"W-What are you doing?" Chen Yanmu cried out in alarm when she noticed Jiang Ming was exuding an intense amount of killing intent toward her. She had been well behaved this entire time and couldn't comprehend why he would suddenly want to kill her.

Meanwhile, Yuan Chunhua finally snapped out of her daze when she sensed the killing intent. Surprised, she turned and saw Jiang Ming.

"What are you doing, Jiang Ming?" Yuan Chunhua shouted in anger and tried to get up, only to stumble after a few steps. Her legs were still numb and affected by the spooky skeletons even though their presence had long disappeared within the vicinity.

"Huh? Weren't you upset because these two imbeciles bully you?" Jiang Ming retracted his killing intent and scratched his head in confusion.

How could he be mistaken about his judgment when there are only two possible culprits that could upset her?

Alas, he failed to realize that the tears were due to her concern and worries for Jiang Ming.

Her aggrieved emotion vanished completely as she glared at him.

"Where have you been this entire time? Did you know how worried I was? And yet the first thing you did when you came back was trying to kill them? Are you insane?" She bombarded him with numerous questions.

Jiang Ming was completely stupefied and subtly kicked a rock on the ground to mull over. Indeed, he was a bit rash, but wasn't that because he was concerned about her that he overreacted?

"Tsk, you can't blame me considering they are our enemies," Jiang Ming defended his action.

Nevertheless, he still retrieved three pills for the woman and said, "Consume this and you should regain your strength in about a minute."

"Huh? You had a cure the whole time??!" Instead of being thankful, Yuan Chunhua was more outraged by the fact that he had a cure for him from the beginning.

Luckily, Jiang Ming was no idiot to admit such an accusation.

"Tch, the ingredients to concoct this pill require the bone marrow of the spooky skeletons. Did you really think I would hide such a pill from you?" He exclaimed loudly, even pounding his own chest to showcase his righteousness.

Yuan Chunhua narrowed her eyes suspiciously. Despite his proclamation of innocence, she didn't know why she was still suspicious of his motive.

"Anyway, stop questioning me and just consume the pill. We still have a long road to go and if we were to waste any more time, then the setup I did might be gone." Jiang Ming coughed and hurriedly urged them.

Seeing how it was the topic of leaving, Yuan Chunhua no longer broods over the matters.

As for Chen Yanmu and Elder Feiling, they were a bit displeased by Jiang Ming's killing intent. Though they didn't dare to bring it up again and consumed the pill.

Whether the pill was poisoned or not didn't cross their minds.

After all, Elder Feiling and Yuan Chunhua had already signed a pact to collaborate in the future. There was no merit in harming them since they are now on the same side.

Gradually, Yuan Chunhua recovered her strength as she stood up and walked toward Jiang Ming.

And in a low tone, she warned him, "Don't you dare tell anyone else about me crying before."
