Chapter 198: Killing Contestant Killers!

Chapter 198: Killing Contestant Killers!

Lurking in the shadow, Whittaker was no different than a hunter ready to prey on deer unaware of the danger they were in.

Logan, the mage was blessed enough to awaken a C-rank spellbook. He could cast metal, cursive, and fire type spell. He was going down a route that focused on torturing his opponents before dealing a fatal blow to end their lives. The combo of metal and cursive spells are highly effective in restricting the opponent and sealing their powers. Whereas the high damage from his fire spells deals the final blow.

He was a dangerous opponent!

'This mage is going to be a slight pain in the ass to deal with. I should kill him first and then take down the other two!' From far away, Whittaker was able to witness the entirety of the battle and he concluded that the mage was the most powerful one out of the three.

Although the nearby swordsman and spearman were also strong, he was fully confident in taking them both down in a 1 vs 2 battle.

As for the mage by their side, he could simply not be left alive. His restrictive and sealing spells were a game-changer and could put Whittaker in danger. Moreover, the mage also had the most powerful equipment of them all. Therefore, he decided to take down the mage first.

Under the effects of advance grade invisibility talisman, he slowly moved towards those three contestants. With a thought, he summoned and grasped Blood Drinker in his right hand, and slowly crept closer and closer.

"Alright, we don't have any time to rest. We need to start heading towards the RedCliff City, only then will we reach there in time. By the time we reach it, midnight would have already arrived and the effect of the purifying moon drop will be activated. Our red names will be disguised and the guards won't stop us from entering the city. After selling the items and wreaking havoc in the city, we'll take our leave." Logan said with an obvious insidious smile on his face.

Fooling and hurting others gave him a sense of superiority and satisfied his sadistic nature. Hence, he could not help but smile just by thinking about it.

"Boss, wouldn't it be dangerous," Eliot felt that it was kinda dangerous to head towards RedCliff City because their names were still Red.

"Nah. It'll be night by the time we reach near RedCliff city. According to my intel, at night, no guard will be scouting the nearby forest. As for the contestant that might be roaming the forest, with our above-average coordination, we can take down any F to D rank group. Plus, we'll be wearing masks and only kill a dozen or so weak commoners before leaving the city. They wouldn't notice our crime until we are already out of the city. So it won't be dangerous," Logan's words eased Eliot's worries.

"Boss, you're the most intelligent man I have ever met," Whereas, Ragna was extremely respectful and entirely loyal to Logan and was willing to follow every single one of his words without a second thought.

"Ha, ha. I know." Logan laughed and gestured to Eliot, Ragna to not act suspiciously by using his secret hand signs.

"Boss, what is the problem?" The two curiously asked with a straight poker face.

"Stay absolutely calm. I have sensed fluctuations in mana nearby us. I suppose someone's targeting us. And he's heading towards us." He mentally communicated to them using telepathy.

"But boss, I don't see anyone," Ranga said.

"Yeah, I also can't sense the presence of anyone near us. You know I can detect killing intent because of my passive ability," Eliot added.

"Trust me in this," Logan said.

The two didn't act suspiciously and simply nodded their head.

"Let's go. We will travel nonstop for the next few hours. And only stop to set up a camp three miles away from the City." Logan intentionally said this loudly for Whittaker to hear before they all walked towards the entrance of the canyon.

To Whittaker, it seemed that after killing the group of three they planned to immediately leave the grand canyon. Only, they weren't aware of the danger that was quietly approaching them. Moreover, they were walking straight towards the danger.

It was a God-sent gift to Whittaker who stealthily made his way near Logan. Only a few steps more and he would close the distance between them. The Mage was walking quite close to the spearman and the swordsman, and their attention was focused entirely on leaving the Grand Canyon. Plus, their faces showed an endless amount of excitement when they thought about all the money they would receive from selling the loot.

Their defense was completely down!

Before his inky, black merciless eyes, the defenseless head of the Mage who was completely unaware of the deadly danger looming over his head was completely exposed.

There was only a distance of twenty meters between them.

'It's time to go all out. This is the best moment to attack!' Whittaker thought before he lifted his right foot, and slammed it onto the ground while at the same time he inputted 10 units of battle energy on the toes of the same foot.

BOMB!

WHOOOSH!

Two sounds echoed at the same time as Whittaker's body was blasted ahead, leaving a massive crack on the ground which spread far and wide like spider cracks, and at the same time, his blurry silhouette appeared in the contestant killers vision.

He resembled a cheetah suddenly pouncing towards his targetLogan!

"Brat! I was waiting for you to step into my trap!" Logan laughed sinisterly. Eliot and Ragna immediately brandished their weapons at his directions. Whereas, Logan retreated back and shouted "Raging Flame Chains!"

He had discovered Whittaker long ago! His [Mana Sensing Ability] wasn't something to be trifled with. By using that ability, Logan was able to sense even the tiniest fluctuations in mana 200 meters around him.

With his chant, multiple blazing chains of fire emerged out of his spellbook and expanded outwards in every direction as they headed towards Whittaker.

As the chains dashed towards him, Whittaker was assaulted by the sensation of scorching flames, and at the time, Eliot brandished his sword in his direction. Furthermore, Ragna also thrust his spear in his direction.

Along with the chains of flames, a flame slash and an air blast came crashing blasting towards him.

Their coordination and sneak attacks can only be considered Outstanding.

Whittaker was in mid-air and he could not change his direction. Moreover, he was heading towards his death at a very fast speed. The contestant killers smiled. For them, it seemed that his death was a certainty within the next few moments. However, they weren't aware that he possesses game-changing Trump cards!
