Chapter 1019 Capital's atmosphere
From MC's Perspective:
After getting ready, I went into the control room. It has been some time since that incident. I am wondering what is going on outside.
I looked at the control mirror. I see that only a few people are sitting inside the cabin. There are five female wizards. One appears to be an elderly woman, the other a middle-aged woman. The other two are around my age.
They appear to be discussing something.
I sat in the chair leisurely before starting to listen to their conversations.
"We have been traveling without stopping at any location. I hope they stop by the next city for the refill," a female wizard told her friend.
"You are right, Cheryl. I need to breathe fresh air. I do not want to stay inside the cabin for too long," a blue-haired female wizard said.
Cheryl paused before saying, "If not for those occupying the deck space. We could have enjoyed the scenery out there."
On the other hand, I raised an eyebrow. I can understand their frustration. I would like to go outside. However, it will not help my current situation.
So I will refrain from doing anything stupid until the airship arrives in the country.
After removing the thoughts, I resumed listening to their conversation. I can learn a lot of information from what they say.
Their attire gave the impression that they were foreigners.
...
Dark League:
Old Witch Arika finally receives word from one of their members. He had gathered information from the other two academies.
However, the information has shocked her. She once again confirmed the credibility of the member's information. But it took her some time to accept it.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"The Weapon Palace and Royal Force Hall will cast an invisible net around the Capital."
"Not a single item can enter the city without verification, let alone a living thing," she muttered to herself.
She knows what would happen if their actions were exposed. It could spark a large-scale war in which Magic Lords face off against one another.
Any conflict between the Magic Lords can devastate a country. She is not sure where their confidence comes from.

She suddenly had an idea that appeared to be completely impossible.
But she begins to ponder deeply. It made a lot of sense to her. Because that kid has the support of the Magic Lord. Those two academies will not devise a plan without the support of a similar existence.
Gasp!
She took a cold breath of air. When was the last time such a situation occurred? The Magic Lord would only appear in the event of a resource conflict or a war between countries.
However, the situation here differs. Everyone's behavior was influenced by the potential of a young wizard. According to intelligence, the child has accepted the inheritance of a certain powerful being.
So everyone is speculating that the child will at least reach level 10 in a short time. This will shift the balance of power in the country.
It is not as if only that kid possesses that potential. The difference is in inheritance. There are other brilliant children who are more talented than Vincent Carey in other forces.
However, they do not have a wizard inheritance. Even if someone did, it would not be comparable to the child's inheritance. That is why everyone is after that kid.
"I hope they do not include a Magic Lord in this. We would already have made a sacrifice on our side," she told herself bitterly.
She must now carry out her responsibilities. Previously, she believed it would be easier to kill the target. Because she overlooked the other two academies. They appear to be more determined than us to kill that child.
So much so that they are using the Capital City as a playground. However, the Dark League lacks such luxury. They can only be operated from the shadows. This limits her options.
They cannot appear in public like the other two academies.
Finally, she decides to participate as well. If this were another occasion, they would be treated as enemies. However, the other two academies will accept their assistance in this matter.
She will allow her members to contact the higher-ups of the other two academies. Then she plans to increase the number of spies in the capital.
Nobody knows where the target is right now. If he was near the Capital, the spies would notify her immediately.
...
The Yellow River Academy:
Dean Office,
The old dean was a little tired. He has a large amount of work to complete. In the midst of all of this, he is following Vincent Carey's news. He had not seen a defiant child before.
Normally, a student would contact their academy when they were in a dire situation. However, Vincent Carey has yet to respond.
It appears that the kid is not taking any threats seriously. The lack of information makes his job difficult. Following the Bloodline Hall incident, he understands this. That kid has the least trust in the academy.
Sigh!
A sigh escaped from his mouth.
Beep!
A blue screen appears above the desk, drawing his attention. The old man then starts reading the message.
He then realizes the information was sent by one of the spies stationed in the Capital. However, the message he conveyed was not good.
The old man's expression became serious.
"A lot of unknown people have been visiting the capital lately. Most importantly, the number of activists at night has increased." The old man murmured.
He understands that there are no major criminal organizations in the Capital. Even if they are crimes, they are limited to stealing and illegally transporting goods.
However, it does not explain why there are more people out at night. He does not want to believe it. But it does explain one thing. Something serious is happening inside the Capital.
He has no idea what else is going on besides Vincent Carey's issue. So he does not have answers right away.
He then types a reply to the spy. He wants him to collect additional information.
...
Sub- Taboo Hall:
The corridor in front of the Sub-Taboo Hall has remained silent for the past two months. Usually, wizards roam around here gathering information.
Several others want to see Vincent Carey. While others want to start a fight with him. But none of these occurred following the Wizard Heart Competition.
Everyone seems to have forgotten about Gravity Wizard Vincent Carey.
At this point, Carolina Slate arrives at the Hall. She enters the hall after finishing the verification process. Instead of studying in her room, she studies here. Nobody can trespass or disturb her here.
She sat on the couch before starting to read the book. As time passed, she could not help but think of Vincent Carey. She sat up straight and began sending him a message.
There are numerous messages on her screen from the previous two months. But neither of them had any response. It is as if Vincent Carey refuses to answer her.
After sending the message, she waits a few moments before biting her lips in frustration.
"What is wrong with him?"
"Is he going to drop out of the academy?" She asked herself the question. She then shook her head, in denial.
If anyone else had taken Vincent Carey's place, they would have been expelled from the Academy long ago. However, Vincent is not like the others. One thing he is is a Sub-Taboo Hall member.
The Hall already lacks members. The other thing was that Vincent Carey had accepted an inheritance. So he is a member of the academy.
All of this gives him a clear advantage and freedom. But one thing is more significant than the other two. His life is in danger. So he is purposefully staying away from the academy.
"I hope he returns soon," she mumbled.
She has been receiving bad news from her friends. Recently, the Capital City has been tense for no apparent reason. She has no idea what is happening. Before anything serious happens, she would like Vincent Carey to return.
Beep!
Suddenly, her watch lit up with notification.
Her friends are requesting her presence. Her forehead is marked with black lines. She has decided to come here to avoid them.
But they want her to come out right now. She stood up and walked towards the exit.
There are three female wizards standing outside. The door in front of them suddenly opened, and Carolina stepped out.
"What do you want, guys?" She asked.
"Carol, are you actually studying?"
"We discovered a worthwhile monster hunting mission outside of the Capital. "You should join us," a blonde female wizard suggested.
Caroline's eyes lit up. They rarely see a mission near the capital. So their words piqued her interest.
Carolina said, "Alright, I am coming with you," before leaving with her friends.
They soon arrived at the mission hall and discovered the mission that they were looking for. The mission requires the adult earth salamander's core. Adult Salamanders are typically 5th and 6th order monsters.
This mission is therefore somewhat difficult.
