I Became the Henchman of a Novel’s Villain

Chapter 10 - If You're Going To Bully With Power, At Least Get Some Benefits!

Chapter 10: If You’re Going To Bully With Power, At Least Get Some Benefits!

The four machetes trembled slightly under the moonlight, but the light they emitted wasn’t the kind of bloodthirsty gleam—it was fear, thick with fear!

The four men stood frozen in place, not moving an inch. Their bodies trembled slightly.

Tian Niu, who had been ready to urge Bai Zhou to run, was now completely confused. She had no idea what had just happened.

Why had these four bad guys, who moments ago were so arrogant and ready to rob, suddenly decided to turn around and flee? What had they seen?

Tian Niu even kept looking behind her.

There was no one there.

“Could they have seen a ghost?!”

In an instant, the naïve girl grew even more nervous and moved closer to Bai Zhou.

Tian Niu didn’t understand what was happening, but Bai Zhou did! These four thugs had seen the license plate on his car! How could they not recognize Li Tai’s influence? In all of the Magic City, only Li Tai could use a license plate that started with those letters!

The title of the “local emperor” of the Magic City wasn’t for nothing! With such a great opportunity to bully people with power, could Bai Zhou possibly let it slip?

He slowly took two steps forward, waved his hand, and said: “Turn around, all of you.”

The four men’s bodies shook violently before stiffly and slowly turning around. Their faces were now filled with sheer terror, the kind that comes from deep within the soul. They had tried to rob the wrong person—a terrifyingly powerful figure! Weren’t they just courting death?

As the four of them turned, they saw Bai Zhou casually leaning against the hood of the Mercedes.

Bai Zhou picked at his ear and, without even looking at them, said almost to himself: “You were planning to use those machetes to chop me up, huh?”

Clang!

Clang, clang, clang!

The four machetes clattered to the ground in unison.

Thud!

All four men dropped to their knees. In utter panic, they began wailing: “Sir! We didn’t recognize your greatness!”

“Our eyes must’ve been blinded!”

“We didn’t know it was you, sir!”

“Please, have mercy on us!”

“We truly know we were wrong!!”

“…”

With each cry, they repeatedly banged their heads on the ground.

Even Tian Niu, standing behind them, was stunned! Her eyes were wide, and she covered her mouth, completely unable to believe what she was seeing. What was going on? Were these still the same vicious robbers from earlier?!

My god! What on earth had happened? Could this young man really make them this afraid?

Bai Zhou understood.

Those kowtows weren’t meant for him, they were for the person behind him—Li Tai!

But, Li Tai had no idea what was happening here. So Bai Zhou was more than happy to take credit for those kowtows himself!

“Haha!” The pleasure of bullying others with power—Bai Zhou was fully experiencing it! Since he was now a subordinate of the villain, he needed to live up to that role.

“Alright!” Bai Zhou shouted impatiently.

“Quit wailing like a bunch of widows! Shut up!”

“Mmff—” The four men immediately clamped their mouths shut, not daring to make another sound.

Bai Zhou lazily asked: “Just now, who was the one who hit my car?”

Swish, swish, swish!

Three of the men instantly pointed to the fourth without any hesitation or sense of brotherhood.

Thud!

The one they pointed at collapsed to the ground, tears streaming from the corners of his eyes.

“Mmm … mm …” He covered his mouth, trying to stifle his sobs, but the despairing terror made it impossible for him to hold back.

Bai Zhou, still calm and composed, asked: “Which hand?”

Boom!

Bai Zhou’s words exploded in their ears like thunder.

The other three men looked at their companion with sympathy.

The man slowly raised his right hand, but halfway up, he suddenly knelt again, crying and begging: “Please, sir! Don’t chop off my hand! I’ve got an elderly mother who …”

Enough!

Seeing that the same old excuse was about to come out of his mouth, Bai Zhou interrupted him: “Chop off your hand? How would that fix the car?”

Fix the car?

Just a few slaps on the hood, and there wasn’t even a mark, yet he’s talking about fixing the car …

Wait! Fix the car?!

The man seemed to have caught onto his last hope for survival!

“Fix the car! I have money!! Sir, I’ll pay for the repairs!”

As he spoke, he frantically began rummaging through his pockets!

Then he turned to his three companions and yelled: “What are you standing around for? Get your money out! Do you think you’ll be able to walk away from this?!”

“Oh! Oh! Oh!”

The three men quickly started doing the same. Soon, a messy stack of cash was piled in front of Bai Zhou.

The man, still kneeling, presented the money to Bai Zhou and said: “S-sir, this is all we have. There’s 50,000 yuan here that we just stole—it’s all yours!”

“Please, sir, spare us.”

To be honest, if Bai Zhou were a true villain, he would have made the guy cut off his hand. But chopping off a hand would only create another disabled thug—what benefit would that bring Bai Zhou?

If he was going to bully people with power, he should at least get some benefits out of it, right? What’s the point of just having fun without gaining anything in return?

Looking at the 50,000 yuan on the ground, Bai Zhou waved his hand: “Get lost!”
