Chapter 30 - 30 - Shadow Unit
Chapter 30: - Shadow Unit
But when his family and the world learned of his unique ability, their perception of him changed dramatically. They began to view him with fear and suspicion, believing that he was somehow concealing his monstrous nature behind a human facade. This sudden shift in their attitudes left him isolated and alone. His mother's passing only deepened his sense of abandonment, leaving him to navigate a world that saw him as a monster.
Things got even worse for Charles as his own brothers and sisters, who had never been supportive of him due to his lack of special family powers, now treated him even worse. They saw his new ability as a reason to cast him aside, and they were even more mean to him.
Their motivations were fueled by their aspirations to become the head of the family, next Duke and they perceived Charles as a potential obstacle to achieving their goals. They saw him as a threat and believed that he was dangerous. In their efforts to undermine him, they even went so far as to attempt to harm him, portraying him to the outside world as a genuine monster within their own family.
Bong occupied his magnificent throne, while Seraphina stood beside him, listening attentively to Charles' heartfelt narrative. The story had a profound impact on both of them, leaving them deeply moved and at a loss for words. The weight of Charles' experiences hung heavily in the air, enveloping the room in a somber silence.
However, amidst the heavy silence, Bong's thoughts began to churn. He finally spoke up, breaking the profound silence.
"Well, if you're seeking power, I could grant you that. But I must warn you, it's a risky endeavor. Given your low level and lack of existing powers, there's a possibility that the process could be, life-threatening," Bong's words held a cautious undertone as he addressed the potential risks involved.
Upon learning of the opportunity to gain power, Charles' determination burned bright. The thought of obtaining strength to change his fate eclipsed any reservations he might have had.
"No worries, Every day, I feel like I'm already dying. At this point, it's better to take a risk and strive for something, even if it means facing death," He declared resolutely, his eyes reflecting a newfound resolve.
"Are you absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt sure? I mean, sure means sure, but in this case, it could also mean 'you might end up as a ghost'," Bong added, raising an eyebrow in a playfully skeptical manner to emphasize the potential risks.
"Yes, I am positive. Please grant me power and show me the new purpose in my life. If I can gain a new purpose, maybe my current pathetic life would change," Charles said with determination in his heart.
"Very well then, Charles. If you're ready to take this step, I'll do my best to help you gain the power you seek. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility, and the path won't be easy. Are you prepared for the challenges that lie ahead?" Bong nodded, his expression growing serious as he understood the weight of Charles' request.
He nodded with unwavering certainty in his heart.
"Oops, I forgot to mention, you'll be transformed into a Vampire. My bad," Bong chimed in before swiftly flying towards Charles. With a quick movement, Bong sank his fangs into Charles' neck.
"Wait, wha....," Charles began to say, but his words trailed off as he felt himself losing consciousness.
"Sorry, Charles, but I need the CP and followers, and people who are broken like you-people who will show unwavering loyalty once they find a new purpose," Bong admitted with a slightly sinister smile on his face.
Charles collapsed to the ground, his consciousness fading as he struggled against the intense pain. The odds of his survival seemed slim, and the possibility of becoming a Vampire was overshadowed by the high risk posed by his low level.
Despite the perilous threat of death, Charles' body underwent a remarkable transformation. His once-dark hair shifted to a striking shade of white, his teeth grew sharper, and his slender frame morphed into a more muscular form. Even as the dangers loomed, his body embraced the changes, a testament to the power of the transformation.
Both Bong and Seraphina stood before him, their eyes locked onto the mesmerizing transformation unfolding before them. With bated breath, they watched, hoping that the outcome would indeed be Charles's transformation into a vampire. The suspense hung heavy in the air, a mixture of anticipation and concern for the uncertain path that lay ahead.
As time passed, the tension grew more palpable with each passing moment. But after what seemed like an eternity finally.

"Aha, with this, I think I can use him to assassinate my enemies or gather intelligence from the human race. Wait, I can form my own shadow unit for intelligence and assassination," Bong mused, a scheming grin crossing his face.
After some time passed, he began to regain consciousness and woke up. He open his eyes, and upon seeing his transformed form, he was astonished by the newfound power he felt coursing through him. Excitement filled his heart, and he couldn't resist the urge to test out his abilities.
He started moving and dancing in the shadows, completely lost in the experience. However, he momentarily forgot that he was in the presence of Bong and Seraphina.
Bong gave a theatrical cough to catch Charles's attention.
"Hey, don't forget about us! We're not just part of the shadows, you know!" His tone held a playful note of humor.
"My Master, I apologize for my earlier behavior," Charles quickly knelt down, his demeanor instantly showing the utmost respect and humility.
"No biggie..."
Bong began to respond, but before he could finish, Seraphina interjected with a stern tone.
"Do not forget for the next time, you are in the presence of our King. I will not tolerate such behavior," Seraphina's words were accompanied by an eerie aura of authority that seemed to emanate from her very being. Her eyes took on a crimson hue, and her fangs became visible, adding to the intensity of her presence.
"Woah, woah, who's the one talking now? The same girl who's a perpetual source of mischief?" Bong chimed in with a chuckle, playfully deflecting the seriousness of the situation.
"Master, I apologize, but I must uphold my dignity as your first loyal servant. After all, I hold the prestigious rank of number one," She whispered to Bong's eyes, her words a hidden message meant only for him.
"Alright, listen up, Charles. I need to tell you something more important," Bong continued, his tone shifting to a more serious demeanor.
