Legacy of the Betelgeuse

A few days have passed, today is the day that we are going to go on a journey to the south. We are logging in to the game, and when I get out from the house, I see millions of people are inside and outside of Fjel Town, this is like a big migration and we are looking for a new place to live. Ivonna and the others are looking at the players and they can't believe that there are these many people here, they did expect it to be this crowded but not this much.

We are just watching them from the distance and then the players are making a way for someone to walk, we see Kingstar and all the Ophiuchus are walking toward us, Kingstar and Queenstar are waving at us, we wave at them back and then walk toward them. Some of the players are trying to approach Kingstar from behind but then get blocked by the players and it feels like we are some kind of important people that can't be disturbed by civilians.

Lothair and Diamond walk toward me and raise their hands, so I toss my hand with theirs then they both wrap their arms around me while looking at Ivonna and all the Ophiuchus from the side. Lothair looks at me and raises his eyebrows.

"Big day, huh? Man, I'm so nervous right now..."

I'm crossing my arms while staring at Ivonna then nod in agreement.

"Yeah, this is somehow exciting and nerve-wracking. How about you, Diamond?"

Diamond looks at me and just shaking his head, Lothair chuckles mockingly and points his finger at Diamond.

"He couldn't sleep because he was anxious about today and he was bothering me all night so I turned off my phone."

I look at Diamond and scoff. Alessandro is approaching Grisell who's in front of us, he's pointing his finger at the workshop while raising his eyebrows.

"What about your workshop? Are you going to close your shop?"

Grisell shakes her head and she's pointing at the woman standing in front of her workshop.

"She will handle the workshop and she's my best friend in the game, she knows what to do and her skill can be compared to me. In exchange, she will get the materials from me when we found a lot of newly discovered materials while we are on our journey, so it's a win-win situation."

Alessandro is humming with understanding and he seems interested in the woman over there so he starts asking about her but Grisell immediately runs away and goes to Francesca and Chelsea. Liu sees me and then he approaches me while waving at me.

"Trevor, are you ready to lead us? I can't wait to leave and explore the Orion, I'm so nervous..."

Liu looks at Diamond and he breathes heavily while trying to hold his laughter.

"I guess I'm not the only one who's nervous over here."

The three of us are looking at Diamond and laughing at him, Diamond is sighing and sits on the bench next to us, and lay down. Ivonna and the others are approaching us and Kingstar looks at me and nods.

"Are you ready?"

I nod and look at every one of them.

"Yeah, shall we get going now?"

They all nod in agreement. Lothair looks at Diamond and mockingly asks him.

"Hey, wake up, we are leaving now."

Diamond is groaning and sitting up.

"Seriously... when I just started laying down?"

All the Ophiuchus except for Ivonna are approaching their own clan members and informing them that we are going to depart soon, all of them are so excited and preparing their belongings. I look around and then I see dozens of carriages are approaching us, I look at those carriages, and then Ivonna tells me that it's our ride and we are going to be inside a carriage instead of riding horses, but after knowing that, I prefer to ride a horse since I want to see the scenery and let someone else take my spot. Turns out I'm not the only one and everyone thinks the same, so we get the horses for ourselves.

Kingstar and the others are also riding their horses, Kingstar looks at the millions of players behind us and he raises his hand.

"Alright, ladies and gents, it's time for our departure. Get on your horses or carriages, let's go!"

Ivonna, Chelsea, Francesca, Grisell, Emma, Michael, Hans, Leo, William, and I are off first to the south while Kingstar and the others are far behind us. I look around but then I notice that someone is watching me in the forest, I squint my eyes and I see Avriel and Krestan beside the tree, they both are smiling and waving at me to see me off. I wave and smile at them back, I can tell that Avriel is sad to see me leave but I think she will be fine with Krestan on her side.

After I can no longer see them both, I look forward and see the scenery. Kingstar and all the Ophiuchus are riding their horses next to us, Kingstar peeks at me and raises his eyebrow.

"Trevor, it's fine for you to remove your disguise now because everyone here knows who you are."

I look at him and raise my eyebrows.

"Wait, what? Seriously?"

Everyone nods in agreement, I remove my hoodie and mask then look back at the players to see their reactions, they're looking at me and none of them are surprised and just casually keep on riding their horses. I scoff and shake my head then keep my eyes on the road, Ken looks at me and he smiles.

"So, where to? Leader?"

Everyone is looking at me while smiling, I look at them and raise my eyebrow.

"Are you guys really fine to let me lead the exploration?"

Kingstar scoffs and looks at me while holding the reins.

"Well, if we ended up somewhere dangerous and the exploration became a huge failure then we all know who to blame, isn't that right, guys?"

Everyone is slowly nodding their heads while holding their laughter, I look at Kingstar and squint my eyes.

"Oh! So that's how you want to play the game, huh? Kingstar? Fine then..."

We both are jokingly arguing at each other while the others are listening to our conversation while chuckling, snorting, and laughing. I take a glimpse at the players behind us and they're all just smiling and listening to us as well, the atmosphere somehow becomes lighter and I'm glad that everyone is having fun as I am.

Ken is laughing quietly and shaking his head then he looks at me.

"But seriously though, where are we going first?"

Everyone looks at me while I keep staring at the distance while holding the reins.

"Well, in 3 days by a horse we will reach the Delaisse Mountain. We can rest there for a moment then we can continue our journey to the Delisisle Laguna which is another 3 days from Delaisse Mountain, over there we can rest for a day since there's nothing but forests onward. That's how far I have gone through so I don't know what's beyond those forests, oh and the monsters around the forests have quite a good quality loots that you can sell at a high price or you can use them to forge into forging materials."

Liu looks at me and raises his eyebrows.

"Delaisse Mountain? Isn't that where the Headless Cult's hideout? Since we are going there, I'm kind of curious about their hideout and I believe I'm not the only one?"

Everyone nods in agreement, Kingstar looks at the road while humming.

"Then we can use their hideout to rest as well as to look around inside their hideout."

Diamond looks at me for quite a while and then tilts his head.

"Did you really kill all of them on your own, Trev? What did you get from them? I bet you must have gotten something precious over there after you ravaging their hideout."

I look at Diamond and show the scythe.

"I got this from the Headless Cult leader, I stole it from him. I didn't kill them on my own, Avriel Scarlettblood and Krestan helped me kill those cult members. Now that I think about it, there are quite a few precious items inside their hideout when I left but I'm not sure if Aspen, Jake, and Jacob looted those items already or not when they found out that I killed all the cult members."

Kingstar scoffs.

"Aspen, I wonder where he's at right now. I hope with us leaving the three sovereignties he would take this opportunity to make a move so we can capture him and tell the community the whole truth about the incident."

Emma suddenly barges into the conversation.

"Not just him, I can't wait until Aksevel to be exposed as well after knowing that he's working with Aspen to make Trev's reputation looks bad."

Lothair chuckles and looks at Emma.

"Now that you mentioned his name, I now remember the video that Grisell uploaded on Utube when he said those things. Man, how can someone become so arrogant and pretend that he's superior to us?"

I snort and everyone looks at me weirdly, I shake my head and look at Kingstar.

"I think one of us here used to be like that."

Everyone looks at Kingstar from the corner of their eyes while holding their laughter, Kingstar sighs and looks at me.

"Seriously? Now you're attacking me? Why are you being a butthurt?"

I look at him and chuckle.

"Because you were being a pain in the ass."

Everyone can't hold their laughter and burst out laughing at him, Ivonna chuckles and shakes her head.

"Alright, that's enough guys, we should hurry up because we only have two weeks of in-game time before we have to rest for the day and we don't waste our time making fun of each other."

Francesca snorts and looks at Ivonna.

"Alright, Miss Girlfriend."

Now everyone is snorting at Ivonna and she's just shaking her head while smiling.

"You guys seriously..."

And so we go to the Delaisse Mountain hurriedly.
