Chapter 254 Heroine's Enemy at Dragon World 3
[Read Author's Thoughts.]
The sky above the Dragon World trembled as Lilith and the Dragon King ascended higher and higher, leaving the earth far below. As they soared, both began to expand in size, their auras swelling with unimaginable power. Lilith's form grew until she was the size of a mountain, her wings stretching out like shadowy curtains that blotted out the sun.
The Dragon King's body matched hers, his scales gleaming like polished silver, reflecting the ethereal light of the world around them.
The very fabric of the Dragon World seemed to ripple and distort under the immense pressure of their combined presence. Mountains shuddered, lakes churned, and trees bent and snapped as shockwaves of energy emanated from the two combatants. The entire realm felt as if it were teetering on the brink of collapse.
Hovering amidst the swirling chaos, Lilith's eyes sparkled with exhilaration, a grin tugging at her lips as she stared down the Dragon King.
"What's wrong, oh mighty king?" she taunted, her voice carrying a hint of mockery. "You don't look very confident. Surely, a king of your stature can do better than this?"
The Dragon King's eyes blazed with anger, his nostrils flaring. "You insolent fairy!" he roared, his voice shaking the sky. "You dare mock me in my own domain?"
Lilith's laughter rang out, clear and bell-like. "Of course! What's the point of fighting if I can't have a little fun?" She folded her arms across her chest, her wings beating lazily behind her as if she were utterly bored. "Come on, Dragon King. Show me something worth remembering."
With a deafening roar, the Dragon King lunged forward, his massive claws cutting through the air with terrifying speed. Lilith darted backward, evading his attack with ease, her body twisting gracefully. She retaliated with a powerful blast of dark energy, the beam crackling with destructive force.
But the Dragon King batted it aside with a sweep of his tail, the impact sending shockwaves that flattened everything for miles around.
"You'll regret underestimating me, fairy!" the Dragon King growled, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "I'll show you the true power of a king!"
The air around him began to shimmer and distort as he channeled his energy, his entire form glowing with a brilliant silver light. With a tremendous roar, he expanded even further, his massive body becoming even more monstrous. His wings stretched out like great storm clouds, his claws glinted like the edges of blades, and his roar shook the heavens.
"Impressive!" Lilith called out, applauding sarcastically. "But is that really your best?"
The Dragon King snarled, fury radiating from him in waves. He surged forward, his clawed hand swiping down with enough force to cleave through mountains. But Lilith met his attack head-on, catching his claw with her bare hand. The impact created a shockwave that flattened entire forests below, and the ground beneath them split open as if an earthquake had struck.
"You're getting stronger," Lilith noted casually, her grin widening. "But you're still holding back, aren't you?"
The Dragon King's eyes blazed with uncontained rage. "I won't be provoked by your childish games!" he roared. His body began to shift and contort, shrinking and compressing until he took on a humanoid form. His scales melded together, forming a suit of gleaming silver armor. His once draconic features now resembled those of a powerful, muscular man, with a chiseled face and piercing blue eyes.
His silver hair flowed like liquid metal, and his entire presence radiated an aura of indomitable strength.
Lilith tilted her head, her gaze curious. "What's this?" she asked, hovering in place as she watched the transformation unfold. "Are you trying to impress me with a new look?"
The Dragon King said nothing, his expression cold and severe. He lifted his arm, his hand shimmering with a bright, golden light. With a sudden burst of speed, he closed the distance between them and swung his fist directly at Lilith's legs.
Before she could react, his punch connected with a thunderous crack. The force of the blow obliterated her legs instantly, leaving nothing but a jagged stump where they had once been. Blood and darkness poured from the wound, but Lilith didn't scream or falter. Instead, her eyes widened with pure delight.
"Finally!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with exhilaration. "Now you're getting serious!"
But the Dragon King didn't stop there. He unleashed a relentless flurry of punches and kicks, each blow shattering parts of Lilith's body. His strikes were precise, brutal, and merciless. Her arms were torn away, her torso battered and broken. Yet, throughout it all, Lilith's expression remained one of unadulterated excitement.
"More!" she urged, her voice barely a whisper as her broken body floated helplessly. "Show me more!"
The Dragon King's gaze hardened. "You're insane," he spat, his voice dripping with disdain. "You take pleasure in pain? Is this all a game to you?"
Lilith laughed, the sound surprisingly gentle despite the carnage surrounding her. "Why wouldn't I enjoy it? Fighting someone like you… it's exhilarating!" Her body began to glow with a dark light, and in a matter of seconds, her shattered limbs regenerated, her form restoring itself as if nothing had happened.
The Dragon King took a step back, his eyes narrowing. "So, you can regenerate," he muttered. "But that won't save you."
Lilith's grin widened. "Oh, I don't need saving. But I'll entertain you a little longer."
With a flash of darkness, her body shifted, shrinking down until she, too, took on a humanoid form. Her new form was that of a slender woman clad in a suit of black armor that clung to her curves. Her wings folded neatly behind her, and her eyes glowed with an intense violet light. She cracked her knuckles, her expression playful.
"Round three?" she teased.
The Dragon King's only response was to raise his arm, a sphere of silver energy forming in his palm. With a roar, he hurled the sphere at Lilith. The energy exploded on contact, but when the smoke cleared, Lilith stood unscathed, her armor gleaming.
"Is that it?" she taunted. "I expected more from a king."
The Dragon King's fury reached a boiling point. He charged at her, his fists swinging with the force of a tempest. Lilith met each blow with her own, their fists colliding and creating shockwaves that tore through the land below. Mountains crumbled, rivers evaporated, and the very air seemed to split under the force of their battle.
But no matter how hard the Dragon King fought, Lilith only seemed to grow stronger. Her laughter echoed through the sky, her eyes dancing with excitement.
"Come on!" she cried, dodging a devastating punch and countering with a blast of dark magic that sent the Dragon King tumbling back. "Is this all you've got? Aren't you supposed to be the strongest?"
The Dragon King growled, his fists trembling with rage. "You… You wretched creature! How dare you mock me!"
But Lilith merely laughed. "Oh, I dare. I dare very much, little lizard."
With a roar of pure fury, the Dragon King raised his hand high above his head. A pulse of energy shot out, and suddenly, the entire Dragon World began to glow. Every dragon, from the smallest hatchling to the mightiest elder, felt the pull of their king's command.
Power surged through the air, coalescing around the Dragon King like a storm. The energy of the entire dragon race flowed into him, his aura swelling until it blotted out the sky. He stood, a towering figure of radiant power, his body now encased in a blazing, golden light.
"This is the power of the Dragon King!" he roared, his voice shaking the heavens. "I will end you here and now, you fairy!"
Lilith's grin widened, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "Oh?" she murmured, watching as the Dragon King's new form solidified. "Now this is interesting."
The fight resumed, but the tide had shifted drastically. With a single swing of his arm, the Dragon King sent Lilith hurtling through the sky, her body twisting and breaking from the force. She tried to counter with her magic, but his punches shattered her spells as if they were nothing. Each blow he landed left gaping wounds, and her once-regenerating body began to falter.
Within moments, Lilith was on the verge of defeat. Her arms were gone, her legs shattered, and a massive hole gaped in her stomach, leaking darkness and blood. She hovered in the air, barely able to keep herself afloat, her breathing ragged and strained.
The Dragon King floated before her, his eyes blazing with triumphant fury. "Any last words, fairy?" he growled.
Lilith's voice was weak, but her eyes still sparkled with defiance. "You've… really outdone yourself… King of Dragons," she whispered, her lips curling into a faint smile. "But don't… don't think for a second… that I'm afraid."
The Dragon King snarled, his fist crackling with energy. "Then die with that arrogance!"
But even as he prepared to strike the final blow, Lilith's laughter echoed faintly through the air, soft and haunting.
