Chapter 353 Sending Someone Out of the City
"We can't start a war, waging war is not in our favor!"
"Yes, we can't start a war, nobody knows how many cards Xu Yang has up his sleeve!"
"Xu Yang obviously has a plan, no matter how we move, he has a way to counter. If we act rashly, we're unlikely to succeed."
Nobody was willing to start a war.
Luo Hongwei frowned and asked, "So what do we do now?"
After pondering for a moment, the elder Chen looked at Zheng Kaiyang and said, "Zheng, since Xu Yang doesn't agree to a settlement, then we can't let Li Changsheng have his way either. We've protected both father and son, but what if we send Li Changsheng and his son out of the country? Even if Xu Yang's reach is long, he won't be able to touch them then.
We'll give them a hundred million; as long as they don't make any more trouble, it will be more than enough for them to live very well for the rest of their lives. What do you think?"

Getting the people out would be relatively easy for them.
It would certainly be better than facing the pressure from Xu Yang here.
Zheng Kaiyang thought about it and then nodded, "Alright, as long as they're out of the country and they get a hundred million, you'll have done your job. I'll hand over the money to you."
"Good!" Elder Chen nodded in satisfaction.
"Now we need to plan well how to get them out of the country," Luo Hongwei said.
"Peng, you're in logistics, and your business reaches Southeast Asia. It shouldn't be a problem to get people over there, right?" Elder Chen's gaze settled on a man with a crew cut.
"No problem. It's not just two people; I could safely get two hundred people to Southeast Asia. There's already a cargo plane chartered by our company flying to the capital of Thailand tonight at the logistics airport in the suburbs. It's loaded with goods from our company. We just need to get the people to the airport," the man explained.
Peng Liangce, the man with the crew cut, was a logistics magnate from Fengcheng and quite famous in the South China region, with business extended to Southeast Asia.
For domestic goods, they are transported by trucks, while international shipments require planes.
There happened to be goods being sent to the Thai capital tonight.
"Good, then leave this matter to you," Elder Chen nodded with satisfaction. "First, let us know how you plan to get them to the airport. We can provide suggestions to ensure it's foolproof."
Peng Liangce replied, "My company has three hundred trucks. I'll have them all in motion. Even if Xu Yang gets wind of our actions, he won't be able to do anything or stop the people."
Elder Chen frowned and said, "What if he has people waiting at the airport?"
If others were lying in wait, the number of their trucks wouldn't make a difference.
Peng Liangce responded, "It won't matter if he's waiting. We can change our strategy at any time. If he's at the airport, we'll drive the trucks directly to other cities and send the people from there. In other words, unless he can block all my three hundred trucks, which is clearly impossible, he won't succeed."
Elder Chen nodded in satisfaction, "Alright, go ahead and do it!"
Peng Liangce immediately took out his phone and dialed his subordinate's number: "Go to Zheng Kaiyang's house, take his brother-in-law and nephew, put them on one of our logistics trucks, and send them to the logistics airport. There might be people intercepting us on the way, so mobilize all the trucks to head out of town. I won't ask you which truck they're in, and don't you tell anyone either.
Only you should know, everything must be confidential. Keep your phone on and await my orders, understood?"
The subordinate said, "Understood, but you mentioned mobilizing all vehicles, half of our trucks are out delivering goods; it's impossible to call them back. At most we can mobilize two hundred trucks."
With three hundred trucks, some of them would be working and couldn't be mobilized all at once.
"Two hundred is almost enough. Just arrange it like that, and make sure you do it well. If you do, I'll reward you handsomely, and you'll be set for life, understand?" Peng Liangce promised his subordinate a great reward.
"Understood, Boss Peng, don't worry, I'll definitely do it well."
The subordinate felt exhilarated, as if injected with a dose of adrenaline.
After hanging up the phone, the arrangements were immediately set in motion.
Peng Liangce, putting down his phone, smiled smugly: "Everyone just wait for the good news."
Half an hour passed.
Peng Liangce's phone rang.
He picked up immediately and turned on the speakerphone.
A voice from his subordinate came through the phone: "Boss Peng, it's all settled. Li Changsheng and his son are on a truck, but which one and which route they're taking, only I know. Not even the driver knows!"
"Good!" Peng Liangce smiled with satisfaction.
He hung up the phone.
Elder Chen also nodded in approval before dialing Xu Yang's phone number.
The call connected quickly.
Elder Chen said with a laugh, "Xu Yang, we've already moved the people out of the city and are preparing to send them abroad. It's impossible for you to find them now. If you agree to let Li Zicheng off the hook, we're still willing to have Li Changsheng turn himself in to face legal punishment. What do you say?"
Better abroad than at home, if Xu Yang was willing to accept their settlement, they were still prepared to let Li Changsheng surrender.
"How about no?" Xu Yang sneered, "I noticed a logistics company owned by one of your people, Peng Liangce, has made some moves—all the available trucks have been dispatched. I guessed that you might be helping Li Changsheng and his son to escape. Only a few minutes have passed and you've already moved them out of the city? Is Fengcheng that small? Or do those logistics trucks fly like airplanes?
It was better when you did nothing, it was harder for me to find them. But now that you've moved, it's easier for me to locate them."
Elder Chen laughed, not particularly concerned, "You're pretty impressive, noticing our activities so quickly. However, it's impossible for you to find them. Two hundred trucks are spread across the whole of Fengcheng; I don't believe you can find enough people to intercept them in time. If you miss just one, you might miss Li Changsheng and his son."
Xu Yang laughed: "I can't find enough people to stop the trucks, and I haven't even considered stopping them. But why don't you inquire whether any vehicles can leave the city right now?"
"What do you mean?" Elder Chen's eyebrows furrowed, a bad premonition washing over him.
"Heh, just ask around and you'll find out," Xu Yang hung up without wishing to waste more words with Elder Chen.
The companies of Elder Chen and his associates were under surveillance, and any unusual movements would be quickly noticed. Explore more at empire
Thinking of getting someone out of the city was just a dream.
Most importantly, he had official support.
Mobilizing resources was incredibly easy.
In essence, Elder Chen and his associates, by opposing him and protecting Li Changsheng and his son, were only digging themselves deeper, ultimately leading to their capture.
Elder Chen, frowning, put down his phone and looked at Peng Liangce, "Xu Yang said no vehicles can leave the city. What's going on? Check with your people."
Peng Liangce was about to make a call, but before he could dial out, his phone rang.
He answered and turned on the speakerphone.
The voice of his subordinate came through: "Boss Peng, there's a problem—we're stuck in traffic!"
