Rezen was among these students and his eyes suddenly squinted as he threw a small vial of potion as fast as he could

This potion slammed against a fox-type magic beast and the glass immediately shattered causing its content to land on that fox's body

"Hiss!"

The fox immediately hissed and it stopped on its tracks. Its body shuddered before it violently opened its mouth to puke out a mouthful of black blood. It staggered on its feet as its vision turned hazy. Surely, it wouldn't be long before it will lose its consciousness

Seeing that, Rezen heaved a momentary sigh of relief but his face soon became grim. That magic beast might not be as strong as Senior Rank entities but it was still at the peak of the Junior Rank!

None of the students here have reached that rank and even Rezen is powerless against such an enemy. Only by relying on magical items will he be able to defeat or kill such a powerful opponent

However, while Rezen was able to take care of one such magic beast using the poison he concocted using the strange moss that grew while absorbing contaminated stones from the Krome Underground there are many more such magic beasts

One magic scroll turned into multiple fireballs that burned the magic beasts while the other one turned into chain lightning that zapped and electrified the magic beasts to death

While magic scrolls that have power reaching the Senior Rank are extremely precious and rare, it was not the same for those that can only deal with peak Junior Rank entities

Although they are expensive, as long as one has enough money, they can gather a lot of magic scrolls that can deal with peak Junior Rank entities

"Not good! Do you have magic scrolls that will be able to increase our speed or make fleeing easier?" Rezen asked the students that he had a rather friendly relationship that included Theon, Porenz, Treen, and also Fiona although he knew that the latter couldn't possibly possess such a precious item

While it looks like the situation is turning for the better as they killed several magic beasts but in fact, the situation has become even more dangerous

That gate is still present and more magic beasts are coming out from it. The rate at which the magic beasts come out from the gate is faster than the rate at which these second semester students can kill with their magic scrolls

Not only that but after Mage Feather consumed the potion that vastly increased her strength, the Junior Rank magic beasts didn't only focus on chasing the students. Some of them also join the fight between the Senior Rank entities

As such, although she became stronger than normal, Mage Feather was still tied down by the magic beasts and she is not able to give any support to the students. They can only rely on themselves for survival

"I have!" The three; Porenz, Theon, and Treen answered as they tore one magic scroll after another

They used the common magic scrolls in the market for fleeing which was to summon a wolf-like entity that was completely made from magic

This wolf-like entity has the speed of speed-type magic beasts at the peak of the Junior Rank. If one is not at the Senior Rank then they would find it hard to catch up to their speed

Despite the fact that Rezen and Fiona don't have such scrolls, the others still use additional scrolls for them and they too ride on top of the wolf

Not only that, but they also use magic scrolls that further boost the wolf's speed by giving them a wind-type blessing

This group of students focused on fleeing but the magic beasts are really numerous. Despite the superior speed of Rezen's group, they were still slowed down

The magic beasts surrounded them and while most of them were simply using pounce attacks, the others also have the ability to launch range attacks

If there is only one, two, or three of them then that is not a problem. However, what if there are tens or even hundreds of them?

The attack from these magic beasts forces Rezen's ground to move around to dodge but there were too many of such attacks for them to have a dodge rate of 100%

As a result, the wolf they were riding on was hit by some of the attacks. Since the wolves are not real lifeforms, they didn't shed blood nor were they injured. However, this affected their speed. In fact, they even started turning translucent as if they would dissipate soon

The wolves should last for quite some time but since they were hit by magic, their duration and speed have suffered greatly

"When will the other Instructors arrive?" Theon questioned with fear on his face

Since this is inside the academy, the Instructors should be coming soon. However, in this kind of battle, even just a minute is a long time

Mages and magic beasts have already broken the limits of normal lifeforms. Even a hundred meters can be traversed almost instantly. A lot of things can happen even in just a minute of time!

Even if the Instructors arrive here in five minutes, who amongst the students can be a hundred percent confident that they can survive?

Unfortunately, she cannot take revenge for them as even now, their own survival is still unknown

Fortunately, being rich has its perks as Porenz used another magic scroll and she gave a warning before she activated it

"Close your eyes!" She shouted as she threw the magic scroll behind that was immediately activated

Rezen and the others did as they were told and they hurriedly closed their eyes to brace for the effect of that magic scroll that Porenz just used
