Chapter 105: Attack!

It was almost dusk when Luo Qianqian came to herself, she opened her eyes with some effort, what came to her sight was the Imperial Noble Consort and Murong Xue perching on her bed with a worried look, she knew Feng Qing must be waiting outside the hall as well.

“Aiya, mother, look, my sister-in-law is waking up.” with that Murong Xue threw herself at Luo Qianqian.

“Ouch.” Luo Qianqian didn’t see that coming, she started to cough.

The Imperial Noble Consort pulled Murong Xue aside and scolded her, “Xue, that’s so inconsiderate of you, Qianqian is still weak and you just throw yourself like that, come on now, apologize to her.”

Murong Xue also realized what she had done was improper, “I’m so sorry, I was just too excited.”

Luo Qianqian shook her hand and said, “It’s fine, Xue didn’t hurt me.”

“Qianqian, are you feeling better?”

Luo Qianqian took a few deep breaths and stretched her legs and arms, “Yeah, I’m much better now, Your Highness.”

The Imperial Noble Consort continued, “Qianqian, Xue has told me everything that has happened, it looked like General Yue’s daughter Yue Qiqi and your sister Luo Yuyan are responsible for this, it’s just I’m so sorry, my Qianqian, I cannot just tie them up and take them here.”

The Imperial Noble Consort was under strict surveillance by the empress already, she knew the empress was looking for every possible opportunity to find fault with her, so there was not much she could do to help and she couldn’t stop blaming herself for that.

Luo Qianqian felt so touched that the Imperial Noble Consort felt sorry that she couldn’t help, there was no one in her own family had defended her before.

“Your Highness, please don’t say that, plus I can take care of this by myself.”

Luo Qianqian got of bed and walked to the mirror, there were rashes all over her body, including her face.

Murong Xue frowned and chimed in, “Sister-in-law, it’s all right, the Imperial Physician has said it’s just a matter of time before those rashes are gone, four or five days maximum.”

To Murong Xue’s surprise, Luo Qianqian just shook her hand and said, “I’m not bothered by them.”

The Imperial Noble Consort ordered her maids to serve food.

“Feng Qing, don’t tell Murong Yun about what has happened to me, I’m all better now, I don’t want to get him worried over nothing.” Luo Qianqian said gently.

“Danger!” Feng Qing warned Luo Qianqian before he finished his sentence.

Luo Qianqian felt a jolt of the carriage, her arm knocked the carriage floor.

The sound of weapons hitting against each other was the answer.

Luo Qianqian lifted the portiere on the carriage to have a look, dozens of men in black had surrounded the carriage, they were all armed, be it blade, sword, axe, hammer, each and every single of them was armed.

They looked like they came in well prepared, they were standing in formations in a triangle so they could attack and defend with a steady flow.

“Get the girl in the carriage!” the leader shouted out loud.

Feng Qing blocked the carriage and said, “Stay in, Your Highness!”

But how could Luo Qianqian sit back in the carriage knowing Feng Qing had to face dozens of assassins all by himself! Plus, it was obvious that she was the target of all those assassins.

Soon the top part of the triangle attacked Feng Qing from three directions, Feng Qing was a competent fighter, but no way could he ward off so many assassins at the same time.

Feng Qing tried his best to launch deadly actions against those assassins, so he could focus on protecting Luo Qianqian soon instead of saving himself from the attacks.

The rest of the assassins kept charging at the carriage, they landed on the top and the flanks of the carriage, trying to scare Luo Qianqian.

They used the swords and blades in hand, chopping and hewing the carriage.

Luo Qianqian knew death was the only result if she kept staying in the carriage, she lifted the portiere and jumped out of the carriage.

Those assassins charged at her as soon as she landed on the ground, all of their attacks were aimed at her head or her heart, it was obvious those assassins’ mission was to kill her on the spot.

Luo Qianqian took a deep breath and used Lightness Skills, she dodged the first round of attack.

“Who are you people!” Luo Qianqian shouted angrily.

“Get the girl!” the leader shouted again.

“Your Highness, watch out!” Feng Qing turned around and impaled an assassin in the heart who was charging at Luo Qianqian, with that Feng Qing threw the assassin’s sword to Luo Qianqian.

Luo Qianqian took hold of the sword, she was so ready to show those assassins they took the wrong job.

But Luo Qianqian soon realized she was too optimistic, those assassins were well trained with extraordinary skills, Luo Qianqian soon was showing signs of being defeated.

Her hand was numb from all the hitting and hewing from the sword.

Bang, an assassin had kicked Luo Qianqian’s hand and Luo Qianqian’s sword had fell on the ground.

“Now!”

Two figured emerged from nowhere joined this fight, they didn’t say anything, all they did was kill!

Soon those assassins were killed by those two mysterious men one by one.
