Chapter 1186: Five True Witches of the Sea (2)



"No...how could this be? Why didn't it have any effect at all?" The leader of the Five True Witches of the Sea was shocked by this scene.

It wasn't just her that was shocked, all of the Five True Witches of the Sea were shocked to see this.

It was as if they just couldn't believe that their potions didn't have any effect at all.

These were their best potions, so they just couldn't believe that they couldn't do a thing.

Or it was better to say that they couldn't believe that the gap between them and the Five Great Witches of the Sea was this great.

After saying this, the one that had been looking for a path of escape suddenly ran away.

It didn't seem like she had any camaraderie with the other Five True Witches of the Sea with the way that she ran on her own.

It was just that there was no path of escape for her in the first place.

The ice chunks that had been created around them were there for a reason, it wasn't as if they were there just as decoration. Puffer and Zyra didn't even need to do anything as she tried to escape since the ice chunks would take care of her.

Even though there were gaps, those gaps were actually traps.

The moment that she approached the gap in the ice nearest her, the ice chunks suddenly had some kind of reaction. That reaction made the ice chunk grow in size, growing bigger and bigger as it approached that young sea witch.

She tried throwing her potion at it, but it was blown away by the approaching ice.

She then tried running away, but the ice was just too fast.

In the blink of an eye, the growing ice caught up to her and completely surrounded her. She wasn't able to resist at all as the ice wrapped around her and trapped her inside of the ice chunk.

Just like that, she was turned into a floating ice cube by the ice chunk.

No matter how she tried to escape, she wasn't able to break free of the ice that completely wrapped around her body.

"Help! Help me!" She didn't seem to have any shame as she called for the other True Witches of the Sea to help her.

Surprisingly, the other True Witches of the Sea didn't seem to mind that she had tried to run off on her own. It seemed that there was some kind of bond between them to a certain extent that they would help her.

Or at least that was what it seemed at first.

But in reality, they were just getting their own petty revenge.

They threw the potions that they took out at the young sea witch who was trapped in the ice that resulted in explosions around her. In the end, they weren't able to do a single thing to the ice that surrounded her with these explosions.

Though if they had been able to crack the ice with the explosions, then they might have put their 'friend' in danger.

Seeing that they couldn't do anything to help her, the remaining True Witches of the Sea realized that it would be impossible to save her.

Instead, they chose to turn their attention to Puffer and Zyra.

They knew that there was nothing that they could do against the ice chunks that were around them, so they could only turn to the ones that created the ice chunks in the first place.

If they took them out, then they would be able to escape this place.

But that was just their youthful mistake of not thinking things through.

If they couldn't even beat the ice chunks that were around them, what made them think that they would be able to beat the one that created the ice chunks?

After all, the ice chunks that were created were made from only one of the potions that this person possessed.

Puffer still had many other bottles in her hand that she could throw out at any moment, so it was clear that this was just one of her attacks. It could even be considered one of the most basic attacks that she could have used.

So they clearly were not thinking straight if they thought that they would be able to beat her when they couldn't even deal with one of her attacks.

This was evident in what followed.

The four remaining young sea witches that could still move threw their potions at Puffer and Zyra, but all that happened was that the ice chunks near them moved to block these potions. The ice chunks didn't seem damaged at all even though they had been hit by the potions. It was as if the potions had no effect at all.

Then before any of them could react, Puffer threw another potion at them.

The moment that this bottle shattered, there were ice crystals that formed in the water.

It was different from the ice that formed before, this ice formed instantly, which showed just how cold the water became after the potion was thrown out.

The young sea witches couldn't react at all as the ice surrounded them and they were frozen in blocks of ice just like their 'friend'.

In no time at all, all of them were trapped in ice and couldn't move at all.

The only thing that they could do was complain, but even then that didn't really help them at all as they were completely ignored.

After taking care of these five, Puffer and Zyra came back to the former crown prince's side and waited for him to say something.

The former crown prince revealed an awkward look as he turned around and said, "I'm sorry for this. I hope that you will not mind the naughtiness of these children."
