Chapter 77: Suspicion!

In a thinly lighted hall where a round table along with seven chairs was placed could be seen five figures wearing similar kind of uniforms signifying their similarity of work.

The two seats were unattended but sensing the tranquility of the room, it seemed no one was bothered by such a fact since they all knew the reason behind their absence.

“I presume that you all know the agenda of today’s meeting.”

Amongst the five, the one who was releasing the heaviest presence spoke in a grim tone while staring at nothing constant. As his voice, the man despite being in his late twenties seemed quite manly with a deep scar running from his forehead and ending with a cut on his left brow.

As he spoke his red pupils glanced around the room which was the same shade as his fiery crimson hair.

After some moments, another voice but on a lighter side replied to the scarred man.

“It’s about young master, right Shin?”

Replied with a faint doubt was the ashy gray-haired bespectacled boy who seemed in his late teens but no one know how much old he actually was.

The fiery haired-man who was called to be Shin, nodded in response before he continued with his words.

“Has anyone noticed any kind of changes in him?”

Upon hearing Shin’s words, the hall went silent for more than half a minute since the person Shin doubted here was none other than the firstborn of their mistress, Seth Albeck.

And this team of seven was none other than Special Order who served their mistress a.k Duchess Valarie.

Since two of the seven were gone for Seth’s protection, only five were currently present. But this was the most ideal time for their meeting as well, since Duchess was in the mansion, presently enjoying her peaceful time with her husband.

The Special Order is entirely devoted to their mistress. Anything and anyone who tries to approach her with suspicious intent, target them without discrimination. Despite the person in question was no one else than their next lord.

“Not much, but I have something to report.”

This time, a feminine voice raised her statement regarding the query Shin asked. Resting her elbows on the table she thought for a moment but since her golden blond hair covered most of her face, no one was able to judge her expression.

“Hurry up, Alba! I am dying of curiosity~”

Squealed the ashy-haired guy who primarily replied as he urged the blond woman named Alba to get started with her report.

In response, Alba narrowed her gaze coldly at the man, as she spoke in her usual stoic voice.

“Everything aside, the fact young master Seth took the initiative to break off his engagement with Viscount Rommen’s daughter despite being so obsessed with her past these years is quite frankly something I couldn’t wrap my head around. And from what I have gained from my spies, Laila was not even cheating on him for the Young master to take such an abrupt decision.”

The room yet again fell into deep silence as aside from the last part of Laila’s faithfulness, nothing was unheard of in the Special Order. They naturally knew how some years ago their mistress herself proposed marriage between the two families despite their mismatched social standings.

It goes without saying, that everyone was aware of Seth’s liking for the girl and the fact he got up and ended their relationship is quite reasonable to pay attention to.

“M-Maybe he really has realized that lady Laila isn’t happy with the young master that is why-...It’s not appropriate for us to doubt Young master in my opinion.”

Meekly raising her voice for everyone to hear was a short green-haired girl who seemed the weakest in the group and shiest as well since when gazes started falling on her, the short-haired girl leaned her face down to hide her embarrassing blush.

“It’s our duty to be hundred percent sure of our lady’s safety, Kuro.”

Replied the blond lady in a gentle tone, to assure the girl that what they were doing was not wrong until their motive remains constant.

Hearing the lady’s words no one disagreed, including Kuro, since everything for them came after Valarie’s safety.

“Alan…do you have something to say?”

Being silent until now was the teenage-looking boy with black hair who seemed to be lazing until Alba called for him.

Exhaling he stretched his limbs slightly before he looked at his front, to be specific at Shin, before he responded in a severe tone, erasing all previous demeanor aside.

“Seen to be less efficient with his skill, from the report I received from the recent temple incident. Despite being attacked by a commoner back in the academy, Young master didn’t raise any kind of punishment for the aggressor. Not to talk about this sudden trip.”

Given Seth’s personality, no one remains unscathed once someone gets on his nerves. And a commoner boy, none other than the one who is currently wooing Seth’s ex-fiancee, attacked Seth yet nothing was paid back?

No one pointed it out but Seth’s combat skills which sprung out of nowhere were also one of the reasons for concern.

There were enough to suspect Seth due to his recent activities and that was why this meeting was called for in the first place.

“…what should we do, Shin?”

With an innocent look, Kuro glanced at their leader, waiting for his following words. Not only her but everyone was now waiting for his words and what implications might follow.

After more than a minute, finally, the scarred man parted his lips as he stated his immediate judgment.

“We will wait for Knux and Ava’s report then only we will move. Based on their report we might have to use ‘that’ before presenting an evident report to the Lady. “

Hearing the thing Shin referred to, Kuro shivered but she didn’t retaliate since it was Shin’s decision. There might be consequences follow if they proceed with what the fiery-headed man said, but until it’s about someone so dear to their lady, nothing could stop them.

‘I hope…my suspicion ends in vain, young master….’
