Chapter 432 Kidnap Nathan
"T-Thank you. You must be Miss Alavenya—!" The merchant approached Alavenya, only to be greeted by a glare from her.
The merchant hesitated for a second, wondering if he had done something wrong or she just hated formality.
Before he could speak another word, Alavenya suddenly turned to the side as Nathan came with Fenrir.
"Yo. Are you still angry? It seems I've been too excessive. Forgive me." Nathan waved his hand with an apologetic smile.
Alavenya was stunned like the merchant, but she knew Nathan was just acting. She nodded her head. "It's fine. I should also apologize to you."
"Let's grab something to eat and head back, shall we?"
"Sounds good." Alavenya nodded.
Nathan extended his hand, telling her to hop on. In the end, both of them rode Fenrir back to the city, leaving behind the merchant before he could even say anything.
On the way, Alavenya couldn't help but fall into a deep thought. It was as if she was thinking about something.
After some hesitation, Alavenya said, "Thank you for this mission."
"Hmm?" Nathan tilted his head. Instead of being surprised, he was confused about the situation. "Why would you suddenly thank me?"
Alavenya shook her head. "Never mind. You can treat it as if I haven't said anything."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Nathan obviously knew what she was talking about, but it was rather surprising to have her say it personally.
"Are you drunk? You haven't eaten or drank anything today. That's weird."
Alavenya clicked her tongue, but it seemed she managed to hold back her anger a bit.
Nathan only smiled. Alavenya didn't realize that Nathan had three objectives in this mission. The test of his trump card was actually the second objective. The first one was to change her hatred.
She knew that Alavenya would most likely go to her father after this. If the Dragon King were here, Nathan would have stuck his tongue out while saying this was a payback for the torturous training.
His last objective was to give a show to those spies.
After all, the four kingdoms weren't the only ones sending spies. There were other organizations, including the terrorist organization.
…
Divine Hand.
"What did you say?" The hands were shocked, looking at the middle-aged man that kneeled before the leader of the organization.
"Nathan has gone on a mission with the daughter of the Dragon King," he repeated with a calm tone.
"Weren't they supposed to be enemies? They fought each other fiercely in the Summoners War not long ago."
"What is actually going on? Then again, while it's true that they have fought, is the Dragon King actually trying to force her to marry him? After all, he's just got famous."
"We might have been fooled this whole time. Nathan might have been scheming against us this whole time."
"Scheming against us? I don't think so. If he is smart enough, he should have stayed in the academy for a while until his popularity calmed down a bit. At this rate, he will just end up exposing himself."
"That's right. If he comes out, we can actually attack and capture him."
"What about his protection? Did someone actively protect him? Did someone attack him secretly?"
The middle-aged man shook his head. "After checking for more than a few days, I didn't notice anything weird. There was no sign of the sage. It might be like what Sir Iskar said. Sage Leyfon might have stopped protecting him."
"Did he go on a mission fully aware of that?"
"No. He might not be aware that Sage Leyfon actually protected him."
"If that's the case, don't you think he is foolish? What next? Is he going on another mission soon, just like the usual? He often goes on a mission for a week and rests for a week and repeats."
"If he is going to leave again, I think we should seize this chance."
"What if this is another trap?"
"We are not sure. Nathan's growth is exceptional. If this continues, capturing him might not be as simple anymore. Hence, I think we should do whatever it takes to capture him as soon as possible."
"Indeed. We can also get magic weapons by threatening Vivian with it."
"Still, what if this is another trap?"
The people couldn't help but squint their eyes, falling into deep thought. They didn't want to lose another member, so they had to be extra careful.
"How about we personally kidnap him? Although one of us is enough to handle him, I don't think it's safe enough. There's a high chance this is a trap, so we need someone to ensure the safety of this mission."
"True. In that case, we need someone to scout the area, making sure there's no hidden protector. And since we can monitor Vivian pretty easily, we just have to make sure Vivian is not with him. I don't think the protector she gives Nathan is enough to deal with several of us."
"Fair enough. In that case, do we need a space element ability as well?"
When they thought about it, they reached the same conclusion. Iskar suddenly stood up and said, "How about this? Jisawn will go there to ensure everything is working perfectly. Check if there's anyone behind him. If the Sage is there, you should retreat.
"If Sage Leyfon is not there, Kana will kidnap him. Kill everyone that is with him if necessary, but you can also capture them, even if it's the saintess. The Holy Kingdom has declared war against us, so it doesn't really matter.
"We are not sure whether to send a space element or not, but we have connections that allow Lucas to create a portal, so I don't think it's necessary if it's for escaping. Vivian doesn't have anyone with a space element under her, so he can't escape.
"Hence, instead of Lucas, I think it's better to have Daniel head there personally. You are powerful, and your familiars are good for high-level battle, so I can entrust their protection to you. Make sure that the mission succeeds. With this, we will kidnap Nathan.
"What do you think, Master?" Iskar turned to his father and master, the leader of the organization, Garam Haygaiden.
