Chapter 466 Impressed
'Since her skill is a 2-in-1 skill with defense and recovery, it would also have a higher cost…' Nira thought while a smile appeared on her face.
'If she made it versatile and will defend first, then Curse Cartez is best.'
Looking at the two different fields around Sameira, Nira summoned a scythe. It was not the dark gold one, nor the crimson red one. This scythe was her 3rd different scythe of soul-type skill: Curse Cartez.
"Get ready," Nira held the scythe before she moved her wrist and positioned it horizontally.
"Bring it on," Sameira smiled and stood straight with her arms crossed.
In the next instant, Nira slashed her scythe. A spark lit up in front of it before it expanded and transformed into a dreadful white flame tiger with black stripes, its nostrils, ears, claws, and tail lit up with black-spotted yellow flames.
The tiger roared and pounced towards Sameira.
'A summon-type?' Sameira raised her eyebrows.
But her skill worked promptly to defend her.
Duality Lakes: Lake of Ruin.
The red cracked scenery caught the Curse Cartez inside.
In the next second, Nira was surprised.
Curse Cartez roared and attacked this soul dome. It started cracking, but something different happened instead of the tiger winning.
Sameira's lips curved upward as she sent her thought to Nira. 'Lake of Ruin is defensive to me, but its job is to destroy any phenomenon that enters inside. With my Shatter concept as the core with other powers supporting it in this lake, I can shatter my own dome, along with everything within it.'
*Shatter…Boom!*
Curse Cartez was destroyed by its own specialty, causing Nira to wryly smile.

The Tiger's power was also to utterly destroy everything. Its cursed flames would increase the potency of destruction the more it destroyed anything.
And since it was a summon-type with properly condensed and structured power in it, it was perfect to destroy all types of defense with its powers.
Alas, Sameira's defense turned out to be entirely different than what she assumed.
But the more surprising thing was that the dispersed energy of both skills that got destroyed was used by Lake of Serenity, absorbing it while Sameira's eyes flashed as another Lake of Ruin soon manifested itself beside her.
"If my Lake of Ruin completely destroys the phenomenon inside it, I can use the dispersed energy to create another Lake of Ruin quickly," Sameira said with a smile. "And Lake of Serenity also gets a boost in its healing power per phenomenon destroyed by Lake of Ruin."
"And if you fail to destroy phenomenon?" Nira grinned. "Let's see your stacks."
"Well…" Sameira chuckled with a sharp glint in her eyes. "The first restriction's stack is that if I fail to destroy the phenomenon inside it, I will lose 50% of my soul."
"Wtf?" Nira was dumbfounded. "Are you crazy?"
She waved her hand as her scythe glowed and summoned 3 Curse Cartez this time!
*Roar!*
"Losing 50% of your soul also means accompanying that pain and sudden exhaustion that would reduce your combat power," Nira said with a weak smile. "But because of this risk, the power of your Lake of Ruin is also expotent."
"Yep," Sameira nodded while smiling, "And It's fine…because there's more."
"Lake of Serenity's job is to heal my soul according to its structure. Its healing gets a boost per phenomenon destroyed by Lake of Ruin, and on top of that, if my soul health drops to 50% or less, Lake of Serenity will exhaust itself to heal my soul to full."
Sameira looked at the tree Curse Cartez tigers and smiled, "Don't worry. My Lake of Ruin will change for your tigers. Let's see if they can destroy my defense."
"Now that's a big claim," Nira grinned and waved her scythe. "If I use the same amount of energies as you, then I can summon 15 Curse Cartez."
"And every 10 Curse Cartez can combine to become Cartez Lord."
Suddenly, more of those dreadful tigers appeared around Nira before ten of them combined and turned into a humanoid version of those white tigers.
It had wispy white fur with black stripes. It wore yellow clawy shoulder plates and yellow energy shorts with black stripes. Its beastly claws, tails, ears, and nostrils burst with black-spotted yellow flames just like other beastly tigers.
Sameira was amazed but also excited. "Come at me, Nira. I want to learn from you, so you better not hold back. Stop only when I am on the brink of death."
"As you wish, milady," Nira chuckled while she ruefully smiled internally. 'You might not want to continue till that point, I am sure,'
It was hard to stay conscious when one's soul health reached 20% and from that point, each 1% reduction would impair the person even more.
There were people who could stay consistent even till the end, but that required more than just willpower. It also required other things that one should have, the things for which their willpower worked in the first place.
'Let's see if you've got that.'
Nira's eyes flashed, 'Shred her apart, my kittens.'
*Roar!*
…
After fifteen minutes,
Nira released a breath, her head shaking with a smile, 'Crazy lady.'
'Why is everyone in this group like that?'
She looked at Sameira and waved her hand while a glowing pill also flew towards Sameira and melted into her forehead.
She lost consciousness, but only at the brink of her soul's death. Until the end, she remained steady and conscious, fighting against the Tigers while constantly improving her skill!Nôv(el)B\\jnn
'Duality Lakes. This skill has surpassed Lilith's recovery skill by far,' Nira grinned, her eyes thrilled. She couldn't wait to test others' skills and see them improve.
That's what she and everyone wanted.
'Alright, Sameira is done. I can tell her about Combat Domain and have her work towards making one for herself after she recovers.'
Nira turned to the group who was in the process, but just as she turned, two of them opened their eyes at the same time.
Erix and Rin.
"We are done."
Erix and Rin looked at each other and grinned before turning to Nira.
"Alright, wait a minute," Nira wryly smiled and popped a pill. "I am wasting a soul energy recovery pill to save time. This is the time we are in right now."
"Enough of that. We already know," Rin rolled her eyes while she clashed her fists as a fancy dark blue, golden-pattered clock with red letters and black spears that ticked on the clock, their ends at the center forming a skull with a starry spark in the eye sockets.
