System vs Rebirth

Noel and Xishui were glaring at each other for a moment.

Since Noel wanted to focus on defending, Xishui planned to take the initiative.

Knowing that they would be a burden, Anna immediately warned them, "Let's step away from here."

The admiral nodded in agreement as they began to retreat.

Noticing this, Xishui immediately came straight to them. He kicked the air and was ready to send a kick as the energy around his foot erupted.

But before he could reach them, Noel appeared from the side and waved his sword.

"Tsk!" Xishui clicked his tongue and twisted his trajectory a bit, kicking Noel's attack sword instead.

A clicking sound echoed, as if Xishui's feet were made of steel.

Their energies clashed, causing a tremendous shock wave. However, none of them were getting pushed back.

Xishui spun his body midair as though he had complete control over his body even in midair. He then kicked Noel with his other leg, this time releasing a dragon that swallowed Noel.

"Roar!"

The dragon let out a huge roar as if it was alive. However, it soon turned into a frozen statue and crumbled into pieces.

After that, Noel grabbed Ardagan with both hands and put all his strength into the swing, ultimately knocking the leg to the ground.

Noel spun his body and aimed for his neck.

Divine Slash.

"!!!" Xishui felt the threat coming from it and immediately lowered his upper body as the Divine Slash cut everything within a 100-meter radius in a fan-shaped area.

Xishui hurriedly used the ground to twist his body so that he could launch a kick from above.

Noel wasn't scared of his attack. He just put the sword in its way, which caused the kick to pressure him from above.

The force shattered the ground underneath Noel and turned it into a crater.

Demonic Dragon Kick.

His step was light, allowing him to actually release a drop kick before Noel could send forth one of his attacks.

Three Purity Swords.

Noel split his swing into three. The first swing was to block the kick while the other two went straight at him.

"!!!" Xishui looked shocked as he knocked one of them to the side, but the other slash actually reached him.

Despite Noel's current situation, the one who was wounded first was actually him.

"Impossible!" Xishui shouted. As soon as he landed on the ground, he kicked him in the chest.

Noel skillfully put his blade in front, but this kick was different than anything he had shown so far.

It actually launched Noel into the air. It was as if the air actually flowed upward, which couldn't be stopped even with Noel's spiritual energy.

After that, Xishui had a horse stance and gathered everything in his right foot. "Tempest Kick!"

When he released his kick, the powerful gale it produced was so powerful that it created a raging tornado. This tornado was so powerful that it actually cut all the trees it passed.

Eternal Frozen.

Noel released his ice attack in order to freeze the tornado, but to no avail. His ice froze it for a split second, but the tornado actually shattered it into pieces.

If he was ever hit by this attack, it would be pretty dangerous.

That was why Noel changed his strategy.

A huge rune appeared on top of his head. This was the Honor Bearer Rune, the advanced rune that could amplify one's physical ability.

And he focused all that boost on himself.

"What is that power?" Xishui noticed that the rune had the same kind of power as a transcendent attack, but it looked like a completely different system.

"Let's fight power with power." Noel smirked. He concentrated all that power into his right hand.

Divine Slash.

This Divine Slash was at least two times stronger than the usual Divine Slash due to the drastic increase in his physical strength.

And it actually worked.

The two clashed for a second, but in the end, they neutralized each other.

Both Noel and Xishui were quite surprised because they expected their attack would be stronger.

Xishui gathered his strength once again, but Noel waved his sword. Instead of Divine Slash, he actually used his Everchanging Emotion Sword Style, specifically the Fear Emotion.

His sword's speed increased. With the addition of the Honor Bearer Rune, the speed turned into an entirely different level.

The slash produced a similar effect to the Divine Slash, but this one was much curvier and thinner. It sacrificed all that power for speed.

"!!!" Xishui was startled because he hadn't fully charged his attack. "Haaaa!"

He enveloped his body with his power to protect himself.

As expected, due to the Fear Emotion, its attack power was reduced. As a result, it only left a shallow wound from his shoulder to his chest.

Still, that wound annoyed the hell out of Xishui.

"You bastard!" Xishui roared.

The moment he released his kick, a huge black dragon soared into the sky, engulfing Noel.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Noel squinted his eyes. He used the Anger Emotion to increase the sharpness and activated his Divine Slash in order to split the dragon in two.

Yet, the moment the Divine Slash clashed with the dragon, it actually got distorted due to the turbulent flow of spiritual energy that made this dragon.

It dispersed Noel's Divine Slash, which surprised even Noel.

"Hoh?" Noel looked surprised as the dragon swallowed him.

The dragon turned into ice, but before that, the powerful energy shredded his arms.

"…" Noel remained in the air as his ice wings were half-destroyed. 'Although Heisk's True Spirit Body is weaker, it doesn't change the fact that this guy has quite amazing moves to be able to injure me like this.'

On the other hand, Xishui finally regained his calm after injuring Noel. He could finally see the path to victory. 'That's right. Even though he has been injuring me, he has spent more spiritual energy than me. With such a low amount of spiritual energy left in his body, we can continue this fight for a bit longer, and he will exhaust all his energy.
