Chapter 814 Strongest Prodigy of the Crimsons
Chapter 814 Strongest Prodigy of the Crimsons
Max stood in the forest with a calm look on his face while surrounded by the two people on his either side. The third guy was laying down in front of him with his eyes rolling behind, and mouth foaming.
"How dare you?!!" The tall guy was furious on seeing his teammates' condition, and it seemed he was ready to rush at Max while swinging his fist. But, surprisingly, he held himself back even with that anger on his face.
It was obvious that he wasn't foolish. Well, it made sense, if not, Max would truly have to look down on these so-called geniuses of the Ancient Families.
"Don't rush at him…just delay him and hold him back for the rest to arrive.." The girl who was the leader of the group asked as she looked at her teammate, and then probably sent a message about Max's location.
"Not bad.." Max muttered with a smile. He had thought that the girl would be arrogant and refuse to recognize the difference between them just like Synthia had in the beginning. But, it seemed she wasn't that naive. Max surely was impressed.
Obviously, the girl wasn't happy at Max's praise at all. Instead, it only made her face to turn dark. She had recognized Max as a strong foe. But, Max's action only made it seem like he didn't have any recognition of her at all.
"Don't be cocky..I am not that easy- '' Before she could complete her words, Max's figure suddenly went missing. It was as if her eyes had suddenly lost the track of that guy. She tried to look around, only to see her teammate looking at her with a terrified look in his eyes as he shouted at her, "Behind you!!"
Her eyes immediately widened, and she felt a chill run down her spin as she immediately turned her head to see Max standing behind her with a smile on his face.
"Do you still wanna continue?" Max asked with a smile.
"Don't look down on me!!" The girl still didn't lose her spirit. She greeted her teeth in anger and immediately swung her fist in retaliation. Her body immediately burst into flames, and the next second an explosion engulfed Max.
"Boom!"
It immediately set one side of the forest in blazing flames.
When it looked like the girl had got Max for good, a voice sounded through the flames as they slowly extinguished revealing a figure completely unscathed, "Don't blame me now.."
The girl immediately tried to pull back but her first was still in Max's grip.
Her teammate who was towards the side immediately dashed forward to help her. He drew his weapon out and slashed right at Max's neck with all his might.
"Die!"
Max could feel a heat assault him even before the blade reached him. It was obvious that the red blade approaching him wasn't dyed red. It was burning red hot.
Seeing Max a little distracted, the girl too immediately tried to cease the opportunity, and tightly held onto Max's hand while kneeing him towards his groin. Talk about a dirty move.
Max on the other hand had noticed everything.
"Let me show you my flames too…" He lightly spoke as he glanced towards the tree in a little distance, and the next instant, the mana in the surrounding immediately plunged into chaos.
"Boom!"
Another explosion occurred, the only difference this time was the scale. The explosion wiped out the forest in the nearby vicinity leaving nothing but a field of ashes.
In the midst of all of this, Max stood there with a calm look on his face as he looked at the guy in front of him who had suddenly appeared.
This was the fourth person who had been into hiding until now. Max had only managed to located him using his Spirit Domain and then used the explosion to force him out.
This person had a slightly pale face and a thin figure. There seemed to have a different aura around him. He didn't give Max the same feeling that the other Crimson's did.
"That sure was some interesting move that you pulled off.." Max smiled at the guy as he looked at the trio he had defeated a minute ago. They had all been saved from the full brunt of the explosion thanks to this guy.
"If you wanted to harm, you sure could have killed one.." The guy spoke with a a little smile on his face.
"One? Are you sure that you are not underestimating me?" Max asked as he looked at the guy with a little laugh.
"Well, I don't think so.." The guy shook his head. He was 7 years older than Max. It was a generation gap where they shouldn't have fought in a battle in normal situations. But, it had happened now. The two definitely couldn't fit on the same line as the power difference due to the time of their individual training would affect them.
"If you were the same…no..if you were even 3 or 4 years older. I would probably be helpless. But, now, I don't think so.." The guy shook his head. He was at the Peak of Master Tier. Given a year or two more. He would reach the Grandmaster Tier.
"Hmmn..I sure want to test it out. To be honest, if you were just another of these guys, then I might have not been so interested. But, you are different..I want to see that power you used once again." Max smiled as flames burst forth from his body, and rushed towards the guy.
The person with pale face just shook his head, and as the flames closed in on him, they just vanished into thin air and extinguished. "It's useless…"
'Interesting..' Max's eyes lit up a little on seeing the guy act. This person was actually a wind user. And, at that one with a terrifying level of natural talent in manipulation of the element. He was actually cutting the supply of oxygen to the flames to extinguish them. This level of control was actually terrifying.
"You must have been the best in your generation.." Max muttered as he looked at him, and the guy's face twitched. It was true. Since, the strongest within the family were always the fire user, his ability was like cheat. So, as long as there wasn't a big gap in power level, no one was able to match him. He was actually undefeated among his peers.
He was named as Extinguisher by the people, and was hailed as the strongest Prodigy of the Crimson House.
