The God Virus

Volume 5 - 316 Master!!!

"Hmm... the next thing I’m going to clarify is the main dish!" Voiced the golden beauty. Apparently, she was very much enjoying the process of narrating the happenings of the time of his absence.

"What is it?" Following suit with an amused grin, Virus asked.

"This is truly a startling transformation for the Earth! A devastating change!" Still not revealing it, the golden beauty tried adding even more suspense into her words as continued beating around the bush.

However, while casually smiling, Virus reacted to that by saying, "I’m about to connect to the world any time now..."

"Nooo!!! Okay, okay, okay! I’ll say it... gee!" His threat working just as expected, screaming this, the golden beauty displayed a cute pouting face before proceeding in an almost rushing manner, "You see, master... the number of rifts in the world has increased substantially from the moment of your slumber, and due to that, almost a year ago, all governments decided to found a new organization within their own country."

"And what is that organization?" Taking a sip from his tea which he hadn’t tasted for more than a year, Virus inquired. But the moment the tea touched his tongue, his eyes also started to shine intensely while he wondered, ’Wow... her skills in brewing tea have experienced a sharp improvement. I think I can now call her a Tea Master. My Lil Tea Master...’

Nevertheless, he didn’t stop her explanations by complimenting the tea, at least not for now.

"It’s called... ’Abnormal Association’!" Letting the cat out of the bag, she went on, "Each country, utilizing their own laws and rules, have founded an Abnormal Association within their own borders. And, only the government of each country itself has authority over these Associations as no other country can interfere in their operation or whatnot."

Listening to this point, Virus’ eyes displayed a rare hint of eagerness and thrill within them while he wondered, ’I smell something entertaining.’

With this, no longer wanting to wait any longer, he directly connected to the world as the relevant data was transmitted into his head instantly.

Each country now had its own ’Abnormal Association’ within its borders. Based on the announcement of all countries in the world, the overall purpose of these associations was in order to guarantee the safety of the related country against the monstrous creatures of the rift.

Since the number of Rifts in the world had experienced a sharp increase in count, the government no longer tried to have a monopoly over the rifts or the Red-Crystals in their borders. Instead, they created the ’Abnormal Association’.

Now, every Abnormal could go to the Abnormal Association in their own country in order to sign themselves up as an Abnormal who wanted to fight the monsters of the crack in the fabric of space.

After signing up, each Abnormal went through a number of tests in order to determine and specify their Traits, their rough ranking, power, etc. Literally, everything related to that Abnormal was recorded in their database.

After going through the database, in case they passed the relevant tests by at least scoring the minimum mark, they would receive a ’Guardian License’ which officially and legally granted them permission to hunt the unknown monsters of the rift and guard the planet and people against them.

These associations worked in a way so that when an Abnormal acquired a ’Guardian License’, in case that person was powerful enough, he or she would be even able to reserve a rift for herself/himself after fulfilling certain criteria.

Then, at the moment of the breakout, he or she would be able to hunt the monsters that are liberated and released from the reserved Rifts legally.

Moreover, all of the dropped loots would come to rightfully belong to them solely. Of course, they still had to pay a certain percentage of tax. But the rate of tax differed in each country. In some, it was 20 percent, while, in some other, it was increased to a whopping 40 percent or more.

Other than these, there were several other rules and laws which were set and placed specifically for the licensed Abnormals population which they had to heed and obey no matter what. In case they didn’t and it wasn’t justified, their ’Guardian Licence’ might be confiscated or even invalid from that moment onwards. And that would mean they would no longer be able to hunt and procure Red-Crystals for themselves.

After that, the ’Abnormal Association’ was the biggest organization that included all of the Guardian population of that country. However, other than this overarching organization, with the advent of ’Abnormal Association’, private companies, individuals, politicians, etc. who saw the golden opportunity immediately requested and applied for another smaller union called ’Guilds’ from their own governments.

And seeing that there were almost no detrimental points to allowing guilds to be formed, as the other countries were also doing the same, nearly every country in the world allowed guilds to be created as they legalized it.

These ’Guilds’ were like large groups of Abnormals who functioned almost like a company with a particular leader, etc.

As he understood these pieces of information after connecting to the world for a split of a nanosecond, Virus disconnected at once. Then, looking at the golden beauty who was about to open her mouth again and proceed with her long explanation about the ’Abnormal Association’, raising his hand, Virus interrupted.

Then he added, "Enough about the Abnormal Association, what other news is there?"

"Oh! Now, there are a lot of ’Guilds’ in each country too! Guilds are-" After feeling a little doubtful regarding her master’s interruption, for now, she just decided to do as she was told.

Unfortunately, she was once more prevented from talking any more as Virus opened his mouth and vocalized, "What else?"

"Master!!! You connected to the world! That’s unfair!" Showing an extremely frustrated expression, with her fists gripped hard, she exclaimed. However, to be honest, all of this was just extremely adorable from Virus’ point of view.
