The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 56 - Most Wanted Criminal

Chapter 56 - Most Wanted Criminal

Javier's blood boiled once his order was mercilessly rejected by them. He can't believe his own ears that they almost neglected his words so easily.

Since when did his power become so low that those bodyguards aren't following what he just said? Were his orders of no importance to them?

Gradually his eyes turned colder with the passing second. Ryan and Ellen were standing on either side of him, felt the drop in his aura, and passed each other a dangerous look.

It was nothing to hide that their boss can be extremely dreadful. Even worse to be checked, Javier can go to any length if he is angry and his fury takes over his head. As they both were imagining, Javier was growing furious due to how the bodyguards behaved, ignoring his orders.

He was ready to unleash his anger on them by his words and step ahead but then something tugged his hand. Beside him was Jennifer, who was almost hiding behind his broad back to safeguard herself from those black men who were sending her dagger gazed, and staring at her from top to bottom as if she was the most wanted criminal.

'Javier.. how can you let your fury take over you when she is with you now?' He was frustrated at his foolishness to make his presence count.

Instead, he turned to the bodyguards once again still with the frosty layer on his face yet holding calmness in his tone, "I'm asking you for the last time. Drop the guns. Elder's decisions are important but you are right now going against Javier. You know very well about my dignity and my capabilities."

"Why don't you talk with sir once? It would be great for you to convince him because we are his secret bodyguard's team. We take orders from your father only." The head of the bodyguards commented seeing that the Second Young Master seemed upset on their actions. Unfortunately, this wasn't in their hands despite knowing what Javier holds in his hands.

As expected out of them, Javier dialed the number of his father and heard the cold voice from the second side, "You landed?"

"Ask your men to drop the gun at this point otherwise… be ready for my escape ad well with the hostage." All Javier did was send the direct threat to his father.

Predicted by him, the phone hung up when he said those words and on the second note, the heart bodyguard phone rang. The head seemed to be looking at Javier with amazing eyes and answered the call.

"Yes sir….. as per your wish sir we will do as you told us… alright sir we will follow his orders for now." This was the simple thing that managed to make Javier get his work done.

A smirk curved in his face and then head bodyguards put the phone back and looked at Javier with glitter. He was amazed to see that Javier convinced his father just in a few seconds already.

"Everyone! Put the guns down immediately. Bow to the second master." As per the orders of their seniors, the other black men put the gun behind and bowed the four of them respectively.

Jennifer was peeking at the men from the corner of her eyes. She was feeling dread and uneasiness in the deep of her heart yet this was something which gained her interest as well.

Her heart wasn't settled and it wasn't easy to process the entire arrangement that just currently happened in front of her eyes.

'He said that everything will run smoothly. But this was beyond smooth! Smooth my foot! It was dangerous…' how she imagined if anyone by chance pulled the trigger, she might have lost her dear life already.

Her grip on Javier's hand didn't lose with the passage of time. She was still not able to get over the site when everyone was pointing the gun towards her.

Javier noticed her unhappiness and shock. It was moderate for him to understand that she won't be comfortable with his state so easily, nor was he to bring her here yet there was no safest choice.

He turned around, hiding Jennifer behind him and facing her face now. Javier held her shoulders tightly but still, there was a gentleness in his actions. "Jennifer look, into my eyes. Straight."

Jennifer did as he instructed and looked into his deep intoxicating eyes which were already quite difficult for her to understand. Why does she always get lost in them?

This was now a lie to her.

"We are now proceeding to go to my house. My main, paternal house. This was an exception but you don't have to face any challenge yourself because I'm there in front of you like a thick wall."

"All I'm asking you is to make sure that you don't get lost in thoughts and let anyone mock you. If someone tried to mess around, tell me, either Ryan or Ellen. Trust no one else in this state except me and…. get out of this shock with time."

His words were no less than any magical spray down on her elite body. His sound seemed to be mixed with his eyes which were more affected than any medicine. It cured all her tension and nervousness.

After a bit, she relaxed and took a deep breath. She showed her bright smile with her perfectly shaped teeth and agreed to go ahead with him.

The four of them walked to the car that was arranged especially for them, to pick them up from such a long journey.

It was the driver who was supposed to drive but Ryan took over and in the front seat sat Ellen and Ryan while in the back were Javier and Jennifer.

They hit the road very soon and Jennifer noticed many cars were in front of them, and some behind. They were basically in the middle and such high protection was surprising.

Jennifer averted her gaze and looked at Javier, asking, "Why are they acting so strangely? Not like I can runway in your own state.."
