Lich

A high-ranked monster that possesses high intelligence that could even endanger the life of an S-rank adventurer.

A lich is a magician type of undead that possess destructive spells and summoning spells that help it over its front lines. Using its high mana capacity, a lich could summon a huge horde of undead and have the power that could endanger a nation.

A lich will be a catastrophe if it had gathered other high ranked undead and make them serve it. All undead saw lich as the “King of Undead”

“Allow me to lead you to my castle, master,” Malestrode the Mummy Duke said to the lich Oz.

“Wait, we can’t let such precious resources to waste right? Come dear my followers, [Animate Undead Legion]!!!” (Lich Oz)

“T-this is…” Malestrode muttered in shock as he saw the sight in front of him.

All of Malestrode’s army rise and became an even stronger undead with a much denser amount of dark and sinister mana of death gushing out from them.

The skeletons wear jet-black full body armor and the plump of fleshes joins together and become a huge and strong abomination, and other undead that had their body intact, rise again with a far more powerful body.

“Hm… About 1000 undead, I see… Looks like it’s my limit on making a personal elite undead legion. Well, these are enough, hm?” When Lich Oz is observing his new elite undead legion, a corpse that drawing a huge amount of death mana took his attention.

“That’s the general of the army that you before, my liege,” Malestrode said politely.

“I see… His will is strong, so strong that the spell before isn’t strong enough to restrain his will. Fine then, I acknowledge your firm will, I’ll give you the honor of being my guardian, rise,[Undead Guardian]!” (Lich Oz)

The corpse absorbed a huge amount of lich Oz’s death mana and even absorb some other corpses near it.

“It’s in an evolving phase, huh? Then take this,” Lich Oz took some cards and threw it to the corpse.

The cards transformed into some adamantine magic ores, some high-ranked demons, and magic beast corpses. The corpse absorbs all of it and the mana of death surrounding the corpse got even denser and form a cocoon of death mana.

“Such a powerful aura,” (Malestrode)

“Grow, rise my dear undead guardian,” (Lich Oz)

Following lich Oz’s words, the cocoon of death mana surrounding the corpse disappeared, leaving a 3 meters tall and six-armed death knight with a full plate heavy armor.

“Powerful, for it to be at the [King] rank because of that is unexpected, it’s power is even on par with Gareth’s. As expected of my guardian, but sadly, I could only have one undead legion and one undead guardian, I need to subdue other undead lords and force them to serve me, protect me as we conquer this world, undead guardian,” (Lich Oz)

Malestrode leads Lich Oz and the Undead Guardian to his castle. It’s a huge castle that roamed with countless undead, Oz killed one of Malestrode’s general, but he still has 5 other generals.

“What a huge castle, and a fine troops indeed,” (Lich Oz)

Malestrode’s underling saw that their usual sadist king is kneeling at lich Oz. But they couldn’t see any undead brand that usually formed at an undead body when they serve an entity.

“Ah! I forgot I only cast a simple [Puppet] spell to you, forgive me Malistrode, I let you be one of my kings, become one of my sword, [Undead King]” (Lich Oz)

The [Undead King] skill could only be used to undead at the [Duke] Rank and helps it to break through the [King] rank immediately. A death mana cocoon similar to the one that covers the undead guardian covers Malistrode too.

The process went smoothly and the death mana cocoon dissipates, leaving Malistrode with his former white Mummy [Duke] bandage transformed into a sinister black Mummy [King] bandages.

Seeing their king got branded in front of them, all of them realized that their master had changed. All of them kneeled to lich Oz immediately after realizing it.

The dense death mana at the air gathered and make a huge whirlpool formed at the sky because of the dense mana that being absorbed by all of the undead that kneeling to Oz.

Oz possesses some skills from the king card at the normal deck, one of the skills is [Give]. The skill could grant a piece of equipment or a person a copy of a skill that Oz possesses but only if it had the compatibility with the skill. Oz had quite a lot of unique skills, but he has too many normal skills that he got from killing countless monsters at the dungeon. Oz hasn’t had the chance to use it since he hasn’t had a skillful blacksmith like Thydal before.

“First the black gauntlets,” Oz take the gauntlets and tried to put a magic card with the skill [Strengthen].
