The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 330: Information About the Source

That might be the main importance for the fusion ability.

And Kate had no interest to strengthen this ability ever again. She was more afraid of the more outrageous thing that she could do once she strengthened her ability ever again. There were even some things that she would rather be in the dark forever rather than knowing.

Tep! Tep!

"Oh, you’re here, Kyle." Jake smiled when he saw the two of them. "Your father is looking for you, saying that he had some information."

"He’s looking for me?" Kyle frowned. He felt that his father never called him for good thing but only for more and more troubles.

It was annoying.

He still wanted to stay here with Kate, got it?

"Dylan will come here in a while. He said that you have finished the device?" Jake asked, his eyes were sparkling.

"Yes. Do you want to try?"

"Of course! Wait, let me text Lotte first. She’s also curious and want to see her own crystals."

Kyle thought of his father but still stayed behind to teach Jake how to use the device. And when Lotte came, he repeated the explanation for her.

Dylan knew how to use it because he had participated in the making of the device but these two were still rather clueless about it. Admit it, Jake could never help even if he racked his brain a thousand times while Lotte was not interested and would rather stay away from this kind of thing.

Thus, Kyle spared some time to explain to these two.

Beep! Beep!

"It’s done. Let me see my result." Jake curiously looked at the result. He was astonished when he saw the bunch of data at the side. "You also make it useful for usual medical examination?"

"It’ll be useful to see your bones and muscles. The result is then calculated to know your estimated strength, fat, growth, and so on. Some of them are still experimental, though." Kyle pursed his lips.

Jake was speechless.

Lotte gave a thumbs up. She could never understand the calculation anyway.

"I’m going now." Kyle saw that Dylan had come and nodded to the other party before walking out with Kate.

While the others curiously compare their data, Kate and Kyle were called to General Ryan’s office.

"Father, is there anything else?" Kyle asked, feeling somewhat annoyed that his father was disturbing his time with his girlfriend.

General Ryan looked at his son speechlessly and then took out a map to Kyle. "The researchers are trying to figure out why there are red rains and as it turned out, the evaporating water from the sea is the main cause. Also, the biggest source piece has been detected to be located in this island."

"Source?" Kyle frowned.

"Yes. When they all break the gems back then, they noticed that the center is hollow as if there was something missing. After some investigation, they managed to figure out that at the center should be the source and everyone is frantically trying to find it out. This island is in our nation’s territory, so I want you to go there and check."

"Are you sure you want to give such important mission to me?" Kyle arched his eyebrows.

"If it’s not because you’re the most powerful among rank 7, I would not have given this mission to you. As of now, there’s only one more person who had reached peak rank 7 in our nation. His name is Petra and it’s estimated that you know him." General Ryan looked at his son.

"Oh, him." Kyle narrowed his eyes. If not because he was busy cleaning up those trash, he would have long searched for Petra to settle their past grudges. However, he was not willing to sacrifice the time to spend with his girlfriend just to chase after that man.

It was not worth it.

Petra had also entered that meeting and everyone had seen his misgivings with Kyle. The two of them couldn’t collaborate with each other yet their advancement was also considered to be the fastest.

"There are also several others and they’re heading to the nearby islands. Almost everyone above rank 7 will be dispatched as long as there area is not that far from the coast and these islands"

"Why not here?"

"Because we can’t really guess which island the source is. There are several islands over there." General Ryan shrugged. "Anyway, do you want to take the mission or not? If you don’t want to, I won’t force you."

"How dangerous it is?"

"There are reports that some people saw several rank 8 giant mutated animals around the area."

In other word: still very dangerous.

There were only very few rank 8 giant mutated animals in the world. One of them was staying in City H and become docile only because it couldn’t beat Kate and knew that it couldn’t leave City H.

Aside from that one, there were also a few others in other areas. But the areas where these rank 8 giant mutated animals appeared had become the red zone that no humans were allowed to enter.

The people in City E felt that they were safe.

The powerful reverse healer was here and if those rank 8 giant mutated animals came to make trouble, the closer they were, the faster they would die under the hand of the reverse healer.

The leader himself also a reverse healer, but he was surprised that he himself was not as powerful as Kate.

In many battles, Kate could finish everything faster than him.

Even when facing those rank 7 giant mutated animals, Kate easily handled them without much trouble.

It was something that many others couldn’t do.

These battles had never been publicized so aside from some people who knew the inside story about Kate, no one else knew them. Kate herself had no intention to publicize the matter.

She liked living peacefully in City E.

Why bother spreading the news and become famous, which would only invite more troubles?

She hadn’t feel that idleness is boring yet.
