The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 334: Mission’s Preparation <2>

"Let’s go." Kyle handed out his hand after Kate had finished inspecting her space.

Kate smiled and took Kyle’s hand.

The two of them happily headed to the restaurants area and selected some foods that they knew tasted good to be placed in Kate’s space.

The next day, the group met up in Marc’s house. The reason why they came here was extremely simple.

Marc was recuperating and might need more time to wake up.

"Are you sure he’s fit enough to come along?" Jake asked once more to make sure. He didn’t want Marc to force himself when he couldn’t get up.

"He looked healthy when I paid a visit yesterday," Lucy replied. "And he can last a few moves in a spar with me."

"Wait, he sparred with you?"

"Yes."

"…He’s really brave." Jake showed a thumbs up. Who didn’t know that Lucy’s strength had skyrocketed after she advanced to rank 7?

Those who previously felt confident in their abilities and also had strength enhancement had come to test her when she was still rank 6. At that time, they said that they were also close to rank 6 and should be able to defeat her.

The result?

They were all completely beaten up until their bones were broken and had no other choice but to stay in the hospital honestly.

Thankfully, those of strength enhancement all have strong vitality and also relatively good recovery ability. Within a few days, they all got up again and then headed out honestly to fight these giant mutated animals.

No one dared to mention fighting against Lucy again.

Her strength was simply…

Off the charts.

Lucy looked at Jake suspiciously. "Marc said that he wanted to test his abilities after reaching rank 7 before going out to do the mission in case he couldn’t control his abilities well."

Jake nodded.

That reason seemed valid.

Lotte listened from the side and snickered silently. Only a fool like Jake would believe Marc’s reason.

Who couldn’t see that Marc had been interacting more with Lucy lately?

Though, the person in question seemed not to care about it. Or to be more exact, she didn’t seem to notice about it.

Kreet!

The door opened and Marc walked out with a backpack. He was a bit surprised to see the others were ready in front of his house and then felt a bit embarrassed when he thought that he was the last.

"I thought that we all agreed to gather at 7?"

It’s 6.42

Still far too early.

Marc’s house was not far from their designated point where they agreed to gather, which was why he didn’t try to hurry up so early in the morning.

"Wang! Wang! Wang!" <You’re all here! Do you miss Robby so much?>

Robby happily ran around the group.

Lucy laughed and hugged Robby directly. "Of course! Who would not like Robby?"

"Wang! Wang!" <Robby also liked Lucy the most! Lucy is the best!>

Pfft.

Kate could understand what Robby was saying and silently put her hand in front of her mouth, trying to stifle her laugh. For the past year, she had watched how Lucy slowly pull Robby to her side through various snacks and playing with Robby.

This way, Robby naturally liked Lucy the most.

He completely forgot about his Master behind him.

"Robby!" Marc gritted his teeth. This damned dog is still the same as ever, forgetting the fact that his Master was behind him.

"Wang! Wang!" <What is it, Master? Robby is still here>

"You still dare to ask." Marc snorted. He looked at his dog unkindly and sighed while taking out a piece of jerky from his pocket. "Come here and say that you like me the most. The jerky will be yours then."

"Wang! Wang!" <Yes, Master, you’re the best! Robby wants the jerky!> Robby wagged his tail and rushed towards Marc without hesitation, abandoning Lucy who stood speechlessly.

Marc handed the jerky and nodded in satisfaction.

"Good boy."

"Tsk, tsk, I can guess where all the money you earn end up." Lucy laughed when she saw his smug expression.

"Wang! Wang!" <Don’t worry, Lucy. Robby still likes you the most and Robby only said that to Master because Robby wants the jerky.>

"Robby!"

The others laughed when they watched Marc fell out of love again.

The supposedly stupid dog has its own cleverness when it was related to the food he liked the most.

Tsk, tsk, even dog could become smart.

"Are we going to go on a car?" Marc finally took a deep breath and asked Kyle, who was watching their interaction with amusement.

"No. There’s a helicopter ready. Besides, do you think the road is completely finished?" Kyle shook his head.

"Will all of us fit in one helicopter?" Lucy was stunned.

The helicopter in her mind… should be quite small, right?

"There will be 2 helicopter. We will be divided into two groups," Kate explained calmly.

"How to divide it?"

"I’ll go with Kate, Jake, and Lotte. The two of you and Robby will be using the other helicopter," Kyle replied.

"We have four people in our helicopter. Will it be able to fit?" Lotte looked at Kyle and Jake doubtfully. After all, there should still be the pilot that controlled the helicopter so that it could go back and forth.

"First, I can drive helicopter, so I’m the pilot." Kyle had obtained the driving license for helicopter many years ago when he was still active in the military. It was one of the few vehicles he had to be able to drive to finish his mission.

He then turned to look at Kate. "Secondly, she’ll be using her cat’s form outside and not her human’s form."

This was his deal with Kate to reduce other people’s eyes looking at them. Besides, Kate herself also said that she liked staying as a cat because she found out that there were some other benefits for being a cat.

These benefits were closely related to the fact that she had fusion ability.
