Chapter 116 Arriving in Jianghai City
Qin Hao followed the crowd out from the passage, his seat was in car number four, seat 60.
He walked towards the front to car number four, dragging his suitcase.
Upon boarding the train, Qin Hao walked along while searching for his seat.
Soon, he found his seat in the middle of the car, placed his suitcase on the luggage rack, and then sat down.
His seat was by the window, with an adjacent seat that was still empty, presumably the person hadn't arrived yet.
This high-speed train had no face-to-face seating, all were double seats facing forward.
Similar to the seats on a coach, but with more space here, the seats could be reclined backward, allowing for lie-down sleeping.
After a while, a young girl arrived, pulling a suitcase and carrying a backpack.
She looked purely innocent, with finely chiseled features and blushing cheeks, probably out of breath from pulling the somewhat heavy suitcase.
Ning Yao glanced at the high luggage rack, her face showing a worried expression as she looked around hoping to find someone to help.
But the people nearby were busy with their own things or chatting, with no one intending to lend her a hand.
Qin Hao saw her dilemma and stood up, saying, "Let me help you put it up."
"Thank you so much, my suitcase is a bit heavy," Ning Yao expressed her gratitude while also reminding him.
Since Qin Hao appeared somewhat slim, she was concerned he might not be able to lift it.
Qin Hao smiled and said, "No problem."
Then he easily picked up Ning Yao's suitcase and placed it on the luggage rack.
Ning Yao was somewhat surprised by his strength, then she took seat 61 and thanked him again, "Thank you."
Qin Hao felt she was being too polite and casually remarked, "When on your own, everyone inevitably encounters difficulties, help out if you can, it's all about mutual assistance."
Ning Yao nodded slightly, she didn't dare to engage in more conversation with Qin Hao, maintaining a bit of caution.
From her dress and demeanor, Qin Hao could tell her family's living conditions weren't very good.
She was wearing an old-style T-shirt on top and faded jeans below.
But this in no way concealed her unstained, serene charisma.
Qin Hao saw a hint of Xia Qing in her, both maintaining caution around strangers.
Qin Hao didn't mind, after all, they didn't know each other at all previously.
If Ning Yao were to completely trust him because of this incident, Qin Hao would also think she was too gullible.
About ten minutes later, the train slowly started moving, Qin Hao reclined his seat and began to sleep.
Ning Yao glanced at him, then she too lied down to rest.
The high-speed train was fast, covering over two thousand kilometers from Shuinan Province to Jianghai City, roughly taking seven hours.
Around ten-thirty in the morning, Qin Hao opened his eyes; the girl next to him was playing with her phone.
He took out his phone and was surprised by how long he had slept.
Most people around were chatting, talking, or eating.
He had not eaten much in the morning and was quite hungry now; he took out some snacks and drinks from his backpack and started eating.
After eating for a while, he offered a piece of bread to Ning Yao, asking, "Would you like some too?"
Ning Yao hurriedly shook her head, "No need, I'm not hungry yet, and I also have some food with me, but thank you."
Qin Hao didn't insist further and left the bread on the table, "Feel free to take it, no need to be polite, we're fellow townsmen after all."
Ning Yao's cheeks blushed slightly, "Really, there's no need, but thank you."
As he ate, Qin Hao curiously asked, "Where are you headed? To school or to work?"
Ning Yao replied, "I'm going to Jianghai City for school."
Qin Hao exclaimed in surprise, "What a coincidence, I'm also going to Jianghai City, I'm heading to Jianghai University. How about you?"
Ning Yao paused, "I'm also going to Jianghai University."
...
Qin Hao was surprised, "I didn't expect that we'd be schoolmates. I'm enrolled in computer science, what about you?"
"I'm in computer science too."
...
Isn't that too much of a coincidence? To be in the same department and perhaps even end up in the same class.
Qin Hao smiled and said, "Nice to officially meet you, I'm Qin Hao."
"Qin Hao? Are you the Qin Hao who scored full marks in the unified exam?" Ning Yao's eyes widened as she stared at him.
Qin Hao nodded and touched his nose modestly, "Just luck. I didn't expect to score full marks either."
Ning Yao, "My name is Ning Yao, I used to be a student at No. 1 Middle School."
Qin Hao thought for a moment and said, "I think I've seen your name before. Were you also on the Jiangshan unified exam leaderboard?"
Ning Yao nodded, "I ranked third, and the second place was also from your No. 2 Middle School, I think her name is Du Wanrou."
Qin Hao smiled and said, "That's right, she was in my class, and we were desk mates too."
Ning Yao, "No wonder both of you did so well."
It might have been because Qin Hao mentioned his own name, or maybe because they would be classmates in the future,
but Ning Yao spoke much more than before, and they chatted for over an hour.
Around twelve-thirty PM, Ning Yao grabbed some food and then planned to rest.
Qin Hao was chatting with Du Wanrou on his phone, "Have you already reached Jianghai City?"
Du Wanrou, "Yeah, we arrived at eleven o'clock and are now heading to the school. Qin Hao, Jianghai City is so big and beautiful."
Qin Hao, "Then, on weekends when we have breaks, I'll take you around Jianghai City properly."
Du Wanrou replied, "Yeah, sounds good. It's a deal. If you don't take me, I won't talk to you."
The two chatted for a while, and then Du Wanrou arrived at Jianghai University.
The enrollment period at Jianghai University was from the 27th to the 31st of the month, lasting five days.
At 1:45 PM, the high-speed train from Jiangshan to Jianghai City reached Jianghai South Station in Xuanbo District.
Qin Hao helped Ning Yao take her suitcase off the rack, and then the two of them got off the train together and followed the crowd towards the exit of the station.
Jianghai South Station was huge, with many people either arriving or departing.
As Qin Hao and Ning Yao came out of the exit, they were surrounded by many people, "Need a taxi, young man? Cheap."
"Miss, need a cab?"
"Young man, where are you heading?"

Ning Yao, a bit frightened by the imposing crowd, instinctively moved closer to Qin Hao.
She walked beside Qin Hao and asked, "Qin Hao, which way should we go?"
Qin Hao looked up at the blue sky, then replied, "Let's head outside."
He led Ning Yao towards the outer area of the train station plaza.
The station plaza was crowded, with people waiting, picking others up, and others just arriving.
The two of them walked towards the outside of the plaza, and just as they stepped out, a little girl around ten years old approached them.
The girl carried a large backpack and held two bottles of water in her hand.
Looking at Qin Hao and Ning Yao, she smiled, "Brother, sister, do you want water? One yuan per bottle."
