[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor

"Hey, did you heard the news recently?" – asked the human player walking around in the city.

"I didn't heard, I saw it." – said the dark elf player.

"Pretty much, they straight up boosted each gate and check points, to the point that any suspicious people entering the city are checked, be it either player or NPC."

"According on the information on the internet, it's not just the capital city, but other places as well."

"Probably because of that Doctor guy."

"Huh… Make sense." – said the human player.

"Honestly, it wouldn't be surprised if they would attack again or something, sometime had already passed after his last attack…."

"Hm?"

"Hey, what is going on there?" – said the human player while pointing at the crowd of the people.

"I don't know… But most of those people there are players?" – said the dark elf player.

"Maybe we should check out what is going on."

The two players walked towards the crowd of the players and saw a giant wooden board with some sort of announcement made.

"Hey, what's going on mate?" – asked the human player to the orc player nearby.

"Hm?" – Orc player turned around.

"Well…. This… Its quiet big news."

"Apparently the kingdom had finally obtained the lead about the Doctor."

"?!"

"Wait, really?!" – said shocked human player.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Yea."

"According to the kingdom, the Doctor has a strategy of making his bases inside the monster countertraded locations or near them. He uses those bases to set up his workshop as well as prepare the monsters for the attack. There is also mention of him possible using the monsters to create his own chimera monsters that went on the rampage."

"I don't know who discovered it, it may have been player or not, but this is a huge lead."

"True…. The scariest part about the Doctor was a complete lack of information as well as the fact that he just appeared out of nowhere each time." – said dark elf player.

"But now… We know how exactly he managed to appear out of nowhere!"

"But how do we know that this information is real?" – asked the worried dark elf player.

"The kingdom had confirmed it apparently." – replied the orc player.

"They found his hideout that he had used before attacking the city, so the kingdom itself had confirmed it and they even have evidence."

"They even stated that some of the chimeras had appearance somewhat similar to some monsters that could be found near the Dawn city, so they had deduced that the "Doctor" is doing something to the monsters and then using their body parts to create those chimeras monsters."

"Honestly, people were saying stuff online about some of those monsters looking similar somewhat to other monsters and if he really is using monsters as materials to create monsters, then it would make sense with that whole theory."

"But didn't he attacked the villages and town before then attacking Min city before?" – asked the dark elf.

"Yea, but he did needed to prepare those monsters, right?" – said the orc player.

"According to the informations, the monsters that attacked the Dawn city had appeared outside the city, same with the town and Min city."

"I don't think that guy have any monster storing skills, since if he would, then wouldn't he just brough all monsters inside the city, instead of having them force their way in?"

"!"

"Yea! That make sense!" – said the human player.

"That guy ability to control those weird monsters have some downsides."

"So, he is making his base somewhere close to the settlement, but only in the place that is filled with monsters?" – said the dark elf.

"That must be it! If not, then how else people would explain the monsters appearing out of nowhere right and stuff?" – said the human player.

"He is wearing mask as well, so he may have just took it off and walked around the city, spying on it and stuff."

"Oh right! I completely forgot nobody knows his real face!" – said the orc player while grabbing his head.

"…."

"Wait, doesn't that mean he is fucked?" – said the dark elf player.

"It probably will take a day for the news to reach people, since there will be definitely some stuff about this online."

"Not only that, but nobody had expected that his base would be located in the monster hunting areas, but now? People will hunt monsters there while also searching for his base!"

"If you just find the base alone or any leads, you will get rewarded and if you manage to expose him red handedly before he does anything, then you will get rich!"

"Heck yea!" – said the orc player.

"Let's hunt down that bastard and get rich ourselves!"

The news about the how possible Doctor has been operating has shed a new light on the situation.

There was finally a lead, an information regarding the completely unknown terrorist known as Doctor.

And instantly…. People got instantly greedy.

Before, only people hunted the monsters for their drops or/and EXP, but now that the information about the Doctor possible using the hunting grounds as his base as well as place where his workshop could be located that is used to create monsters were made public, people began searching the hunting grounds.

"Hm…"

The man who plays as Phantasia looked at his computer, reading various stuff online.

"Huh…. They fuking exposed me? Just like that?" – said the man.

(I mean, somebody would put two and two together, with the whole chimera monsters appearance as well as local monsters, so it was just matter of time before people would find out.)

(But I wasn't expecting them to find the necromancer hideout, it was extremely well hidden.)

(However, who exactly discovered my hideout? A player? Or an NPC?)

(Well, it doesn't really matter who or how they discovered it…. I made sure to completely destroy the guard capitan reports about the necromancer and the people involved with him, since that report contained the details regarding the dwarf kidnapping as well as who rescued the dwarf and knew about the hideout already.)

(So, there is no way they will know about me.)

(But still, it does hinder me.)

(I was planning on repeating and abusing this tactic of having a base in the monster infested areas…. And now they had babbled about it.)

(Oh well, unfortunately for them, I have… Bit surprising plan in store for them all!)

[Sometime went by.]

"How is the current situation in the settlements?" – asked Kruak Agion.

"Good my majesty." – said the nobleman goblin with the monocle.

"Yea, good and everything, but we will need to increase our taxes soon because of that whole "Guarding upgrade"." – said the annoyed young dark elf noble.

"…."

"He is right." – said the goblin.

"We need to increase taxes."

"We do posses a lot of money to spare, but we still need some money in case of another emergency's happens AND we had also invested a lot of money into Dawn city recovery. The city has yet to fully recover, so we will have to continue investing money into that place in order to restore one of our best sources of the income."

"…."

"I got it. Increase the taxes." – said annoyed king.

"Anyway, I know we only recently gave out the informations, but were there any weird movements or appearances of the Doctor or his monsters?"

"Nope." – said the goblin with the scar.

"There was nothing."

"There is good chance he is either now cornered and cannot take any action or he would get exposed."

"There is also the chance that he had left his current base and maybe on the move right now, trying to find a location away from the monster infested locations."

"Honestly, either options works perfectly for us."

"Not only that, the adventures are making their move and its very visible to everybody after we made the informations public."

"The Doctor is screwed and sooner or later he will slip, either revealing himself or leaving another lead about him or people he is possible working with."

"However, it will take time." – said the elderly dark elf woman.

"We won't find him from get go and he may start running around, trying not to get caught."

"It is for us, since it will make easier time catching that bastard as well as preventing any big damage from happening again, but again, money."

"Our kingdom had a lot of spare money, so we are fine, but the tax will have to be increased for some time, but we also need to hasten the restoration of the Dawn city."

"Dawn city was one of our main sources of the income and the sooner we restore it, the better."

"She is right my king." – said the orc noble.

"I suggest we invest more money into the Dawn city restoration to hasten it."

"But what about the Doctor?" – asked other orc noble.

"What if he dares to attack Dawn city again while its in it weaken state?"

"That is what we send soldiers and knights for, you idiot." – said the arrogant young dark elf noble.

"But then what about the merchants? How we will make them return to that city?" – asked the goblin with the monocle.

"True…. The merchants were very important in that location."

"Well, shouldn't we…."

The nobles began discussing different things related to the Dawn city restoration, but while all of that was happening, a weird tall figure wearing a white smiling mask as well long top hat was starting at the crowd of people, without them even realizing that somebody was observing them from shadows.

"…."

"Showtime." – said the figure wearing a white smiling mask.
