You're My Only Star

"Lu… President Lu, when did you get here?" Song Xing Xing greeted. She was pleasantly surprised to find Lu Xun behind her.

A while ago, she was still texting him. He did not even tell her that he was coming over and suddenly, he had appeared in front of her. The moment Song Xing Xing saw his boyfriend, the smile on her face turned bright.

Fortunately, Huo Yun Chen was facing her back and could not see the change in Song Xing Xing's expression.

"I just got here a while ago." Lu Xun shifted his gaze from Huo Yun Chen to his girlfriend.  His eyes were dark and unwavering.

The moment he arrived at the studio, he has been looking for his girlfriend. However, Lu Xun did not expect that the moment he saw her, he would find her talking happily with Huo Yun Chen.

He wanted to show her that he was unhappy with what he had seen. But the moment he saw the cheery smile on his girlfriend's face, he did not have the heart to say anything harsh to her.

Each time that she saw him, Song Xing Xing would look happy like this. He could not bear to be mad at her. At least, he knew that his girlfriend was not interested in another man other than him. But still... he was not happy.

Lu Xun gave Huo Yun Chen a look over.

This man was the person who would often play games with his girlfriend. Huo Yun Chen had good looks and is a few years younger than he is. He was also good at singing and a charismatic person. 

Initially, Lu Xun had thought that these were good traits about Huo Yun Chen. These were the reasons that he wanted Huo Yun Chen to sign with his agency.

However, at this time, Lu Xun seemed to think that this guy's good traits might be a threat to him instead. 

"You… The two of you are familiar with each other?" Lu Xun asked.

"Mmm… Miss Song is also playing the game that I endorsed. We know each other from that game." Huo Yun Chen explained. He did not even notice the unhappy look on Lu Xun's face. 

Huo Yun Chen let out a cough as he walked past Song Xing Xing. "President Lu, let me lead you to Director An. He has been waiting for your arrival."

Lu Xun glanced at Song Xing Xing again before he finally turned away to follow Huo Yun Chen to meet Director An. After all, the filming had just ended and Director An would have a few words to say to him.

Seeing the man's retreating figure, Song Xing Xing tilted her head, wondering if she had done something wrong. However, Lu Xun probably wanted to help her hide their relationship, Song Xing Xing forced herself not to think too much.

After working hours, Song Xing Xing went with her colleagues to the restaurant that Lu Xun had booked.

The moment she entered the private room, there were already a lot of people around. Song Xing Xing went with Liu Yu Sheng to sit at the place where the rest of their friends were.

As they chatted around, the door was pushed from the outside. Director An entered with the casts and sat at the main table. 

A slight frown appeared on her face when Song Xing Xing could not see Lu Xun. She took out her phone and sneakily send him a message. Just as she had pressed the send button, the sound of message notification could be heard coming from the door.

Song Xing Xing looked up and saw that Lu Xun had entered the room. His head lowered as he was looking at the message on the phone. Their gazes met the moment Lu Xun raised his head. He watched his girlfriend for a few seconds and finally looked away when Director An called him to join their table. 

A while later, her phone buzzed. Song Xing Xing checked on the message and saw that Lu Xun had told her to wait for him after dinner ended. After giving him her reply, Song Xing Xing flashed him a smile before she continued to eat her meal with the others.

The waiters continued to send a few more dishes into the room. 

Her stomach started to grumble again as the waiter placed a few dishes on her table. She picked up her chopsticks and took a bite at the prawn. 

A deep frown appeared on her face as she put the food into her mouth.

The prawn tasted a little strange. 

It was a little sour than she had expected.

Song Xing Xing looked at the food on her table and noticed that they were a little different than the one on her neighboring table. Moreover, the one that was placed in front of her, was mostly sour dishes.

"Xing Xing, don't you think that the seafood dishes in front of us are a little sour?" Liu Yu Sheng asked. She tasted the gravy again and frowned at the taste. "I think that the cook probably spilled a jar of vinegar into this one."

The others began to laugh the moment they heard Liu Yu Sheng's joke.

Meanwhile,  Song Xing Xing started to choke on her food upon hearing her friend's words. She grabbed a glass of water and downed it in one go.

Liu Yu Sheng's words triggered something in her mind.

Spilling a jar of vinegar?

Her gaze involuntarily shifted to Lu Xun. 

Then, the scene where Lu Xun had found her with Huo Yun Chen reappeared in her mind.

Song Xing Xing knew that the seafood dishes that were placed in front of her were something that Lu Xun had let the kitchen prepare. To let the kitchen prepare a few sour dishes for her… What does it mean?

Someone is jealous?

Song Xing Xing looked up and coincidentally, Lu Xun looked up at the same time. Their gazes met and Song Xing Xing could see the unhappy look in his eyes.  She almost choked on her saliva upon realizing that her thought might be right.

But... What is she supposed to do if this man was indeed eating vinegar? How was she supposed to coax him?

She had nearly forgotten that last time, something similar to this had happened. Lu Xun was unhappy when she had suddenly asked about Huo Yun Chen.. She then gave him a kiss on the cheek to coax him. This time, would the same trick works?
