Volume 2 Chapter 24: First Offering

"It's been so long since I ate something so good." Keith was happy with the bread. And it seems Gus will be having some time with the oven. He handed some yeast to him, letting him work with it.

"Po, po," Mir shouted as he munched on some bread.

"Yeah! It's really delicious!" Fira was doing the same thing as she agreed with Mir.

"The two of you are gluttons, huh?" Keith smiled as he watched the two little creatures nibbling on it. When he arrived at the herd,

"Po!" Keith was jumped by the three snowballs! Keith smiled at them.

"Sorry about not coming here sooner." Keith patted the three's head. He always came to the forest every day to meet with them.

So, it was a shock for the babies to not see him.

"BO!" But it seemed that Inti and the rest didn't want his apology. They were angry. But they looked so cute!

"How about I give you something good to eat." Keith smiled as he took out some bread he made. The cute little ones looked at it curiously. They tilted their heads, wondering what this was.

Keith ripped the milk loaf into three pieces and handed it to them,

Munch! Inti and the two ate it. And when they did, the three started to nibble on their piece as quickly as possible!

"You guys like it?" Keith laughed as he watched them eat.

"Keith, can I have some too?" "Po!" Fira and Mir asked. Keith shook, "Sorry, but you guys can't have any."

You guys had your share!

These little gluttons. They ate way more before they entered the forest. How could they eat so much?

Where does it all go?

"Bo!" Keith turned and saw the other Samuis staring at them. They were all staring at the bread Inti, and the rest were eating.

"Relax, I brought some for you guys as well." Keith wouldn't forget about the others like that. He took a long time to arrive because he had to make many loaves.

"Po!" Keith split the loaves in half and handed them to the giant snowballs.

And they liked it so much! Even Shiro consumed it in an instant!

"I'm going to go to the spirit village," Keith said. But it seemed they didn't listen as they were focused on the loaf.

...

"Welcome, Keith!" Tidal greeted Keith. Keith smiled as he brought something out,

"I promise you guys I will bring you something delicious to eat. And here it is." Keith brought out the sugar cookies he had baked.

"What are these?" Tidal questioned. They were round and smelled sweet.

"These are called sugar cookies." Keith split a cookie in half and handed it to Tidal. One cookie was the size of a spirit's body.

"Please split them up." Tidal nodded. One by one, the spirits started to eat the cookies. And their expressions were bright.

"This is so good."

"I want to eat more!"

"I do have some here." Keith brought out a jar of cookies.

"Yay!"

"Are you sure we can have this?" Tidal questioned.

"Of course! Please take it."

"Thank you so much." Tidal smiled. But Keith shook his head, "There's no need to thank me. I should be the one to thank you for giving me the vegetable." If the spirit didn't grow the pearl beet, there was no way he could make all of this.

Keith continued to talk with the fairies until the end of the day. Before he went to bed,

Oh! I should send Kreye and Hepha the bread.

He almost forgot to send it to them. I need to pray on an altar. Keith took out a block of wood. He shaped it into a small altar. Place the loaf here and pray. Keith placed his hands together, and the loaf disappeared like that!

"Thank you." Keith heard a voice. He nodded as he jumped into his bed.
