The next day, Keith and the rest were ready. This was the final test they had to take. When Keith and Gabriel arrived at the academy, there were many people who stared at them.

"It's that guy,"

"He's the one who fought with the proctor,"

"Did he really beat him? It seemed like a fluke." 

"You're the talk of the academy, Keith," Gabriel laughed. 

Keith scratched his head. That was not my fault. Keith wanted to say something like that. He had no intention to be in the limelight! But after what he did, there was no way he could hide. 

They were brought over to the same place again. Aidiun stated, "Each person will go to their own room. Your test will be explained there,"

"We got this," "Yes," Everyone entered their room. When Keith entered his room, his eyes widened when he saw another person there! 

"Grandpa Cadmus! Why are you here?!" What he saw was Cadmus standing in the center of the room!

"Because I'm going to be your final proctor," Cadmus smiled.

"Eh?" Keith let out a dumb sound as he stared at this person!

"What?! You want to face off against Keith?!" Aidiun and the other proctors were speechless when they heard that! The principal was going to face off with one of the enrollees. 

Isn't that overkill?! 

"Yeah, I think having you fight is a little overkill,"

"Principal, you should understand your strength."

"You're going to kill that kid,"

Aidiun and the others shook their heads. There was no way they could let this go. Cadmus scoffed, 

"Shut it! He's like my disciple!"

'Eh?" Disciple?! The proctors were shocked by his words. They turned to Sohma, who needed to explain. 

"From time to time, Cadmus would teach Keith," In a sense, Keith was his student. But it wasn't to the point that Cadmus was making it out to be. It was only light tips, and that was it. 

"As his teacher, I'll test my disciple's strength!" Cadmus stated with a grin. 

"..." The proctors had nothing to say. 

"I'm going to make the next test for him myself. You guys can deal with the rest," Cadmus stated.

"And that's why I'm here!" Cadmus stated with a proud look plastered on his face. That itself caused Keith to be speechless.

"..." I think that was an abuse of power! That definitely was! 

"I want to see how much you've improved," Cadmus smiled. That was the other reason why he wanted to do it. The other proctors wouldn't be able to force Keith to go all out. Only a handful of people could do it. 

When Keith heard that, he nodded, "I will show you," Cadmus had taught him a lot about how to use void magic. 

For the first part of the few years, Cadmus had been coming to his city to get bread. And while he did that, he taught Keith along the way. 

"What is the test?" Keith wanted to figure it out. Cadmus laughed, "The test is simple. You are given three minutes. If you manage to land a hit on me, it will be considered my loss,  

Keith frowned, "Are you looking down on me?"

"What if I am?" Cadmus chuckled, "Show me what you can do,"

"I will!" And the test started! Keith made his move. But it was not like how he dashed at the proctor. Instead, he took a few steps away from him. 

Cadmus was still an ancient dragon. That was something Keith couldn't forget! He couldn't do the same thing against the instructor. If Cadmus wanted, he could throw him all the way back to the northern region. 

That was why he needed to be calm. Keith quickly fired two wind spears at him! But the moment he did,

"That magic won't work," Cadmus was unfazed by his attack. Keith frowned, "You're really going all out to stop me,"

Mana barrier. It was a simple technique, as the name implied. 

It created a barrier using mana around the wielder's body! But when Cadmus used it, it was a high-level technique.  

"You're good at using magic. But that amount won't affect me, Keith," Cadmus chuckled. 

"Hmpf!" Keith didn't wait as he dashed at Cadmus to try and cut him down! He went with a downward slash. But the barrier was thick. His sword didn't budge! 

"Is this really it?" Cadmus shook his head at what he did.

"I'm not done!" Keith continued to circle around Cadmus. How do I do it? Keith was thinking. He knew normal attacks weren't going to do anything to him. 

I need to catch him off guard. 

He's thinking about catching me off guard. Cadmus understood what Keith was thinking as well. But that won't happen. He wouldn't be caught off guard by anyone.
