Volume 3 Chapter 26: The Cookies!

Cadmus wasn't going to let Keith have an advantage. There was no way he was going to let this happen.

But then Keith stopped. Did he give up?

No.

There was no way Keith would give up.

This child was stubborn like a mule.

It seemed he had a plan. Cadmus was curious. Keith didn't wait as he charged at Cadmus! But he wasn't done as he fired magic in all directions!

"Do you think this is enough to stop me?" Cadmus shook his head. Those magic arrows didn't affect him. It didn't have that much firepower, but the quantity was enormous.

"Is that really it?"

Keep cool. Keith didn't listen to Cadmus's words. Earth, lightning, and wind magic are his strong suits. He had a sword in his hands as well. The thing he needed to do was to shake Cadmus.

The dragon was too calm.

What would shake him? Keith stared at Cadmus, wondering what would make this happen. What does this guy like? Wait a minute...

"Let's do this!" Keith didn't hesitate as he dashed toward Cadmus again.

Again? Cadmus was interested. But Keith blinked away from there! This was one of the magic Keith learned from Cadmus. It was a simple teleportation magic.

"You're wasting magic if you keep doing that," Cadmus stated. Keith wasn't attacking him but wasting his mana.

"I'm doing something!" Keith stated. Of course, I know that. He wasn't adept with this spell. As he continued to teleport around, he appeared right above Cadmus! Before he tried to strike, he teleported again!

Keith teleported right in front of him. Is he going to strike me now? Cadmus wondered,

"Eh? Cookies?" What appeared in front of Cadmus was cookies! But what happened next shook him,

"No!" Keith burned the cookies right in his face! It did something as Keith took that chance and swept his legs!

"Hah," Keith raised his sword to slice him. But,

"The cookies!" Cadmus roared.

"Wait! Wait!" "Raghh!"

Before Keith could say anything, Cadmus had roared fire at him! His entire body was inflamed!

"Huh?" Cadmus stopped breathing fire. He was surprised. But it was already done. Cadmus looked at Keith, who was covered in smoke!

"Are you dead, Kid?" Cadmus muttered.

"Are you trying to roast me, Grandpa?!" Keith roared as he grabbed Cadmus by the collar! He  almost died! If he didn't use the mana barrier, he would have died.

"Relax, you're slightly cooked," Cadmus joked. But that caused Keith's eyes to twitch,

"Are you joking?!"

"You did something blasphemous! You burned the cookies!" That shook him! Cookies were one of his favorite snacks. For it to burn in his face was too shocking.

"That was the only way for me to pass,"

"Huh?"

"I knocked you down with a sweep," Keith stated.

"..." Cadmus looked down and realized it as well. Keith had a goofy smile as Cadmus laughed, "Haha, you actually landed a hit on me!" He patted Keith on the head,

"Good job, Kid!"

"Yep, yep!" Keith nodded. In the moment when Cadmus was shaken, he took him down.

"But don't think you can actually beat me," Cadmus smirked.

"I know." Cadmus didn't need to say anything as it was impossible to beat him! There was no chance for him to beat up Cadmus. He was too strong. And the latter was only toying with him while he was serious,

"Good, you can go outside now."

"Okay," Keith bowed his head as he walked out of the room. Cadmus had a small chuckle as he watched him go.

...

When he came out, "Guess I'm the first person out," No one was there beside him. Keith sat on the bench, waiting for everyone to come out. When they came out, they stared at Keith,

"Why is he burned?"

"What's wrong with him?"

"Did he fail the exam?"

While they continued to say that, Gabriel walked up to him, "Keith, what happened to you?" He was surprised to see his body was smoky.

"That's because someone spat fire on me." Keith chuckled, "And what about you? You looked like you went through a tornado,"

If Keith was smoked by fire, Gabriel looked like he went through a tornado. His hair was blown up. What was more, his clothes were cut up everywhere.

"Heh. I couldn't hold a candle to the vice-principal," Gabriel chuckled.

"You face the vice-principal?!" Keith blinked his eyes when he heard that.

"Mmhmm. He was the one I faced. He said I had to survive for a few minutes. And he was firing wind magic at me,"

"...I see." Keith could imagine what had happened.

"What did you have to do?"

"Same thing. But I had to face the principal." Keith stated. Now it was Gabriel's turn to be shocked,

"You faced the principal?!" That was even worse than him!

"Mmhmm. And he shot fire right at my face,"

"Eh?" Gabriel couldn't help but feel bad for him.
