Volume 3 Chapter 46: Tomato Soup And Steak

The blizzard owl was already a monster that shouldn't be questioned. It was surprising. Adding the forest spirit made it even more. Keith was talking so casually with them.

"Those two are his familiars. Well, the forest spirit is one." Sohma explained. He turned to Keith,

"Keith, did you make a contract with Aria?" Aria was William's familiar. But Keith summoned her. That could only mean one thing.

"Mmhmm, Father broke the contract with Aria. And I signed the contract with her!" Keith was excited as he answered.

"And she's also wearing jewelry." Cadmus noticed the cuff on her legs while Keith wore matching earrings.

"Mmhmm, it's cute, right?"

"..." Are you really saying it's cute? The more surprising thing was how he got a blizzard owl to wear it.

"What about Mir and the others. Are you going to call them?" Cadmus questioned. Those guys were also a staple.

"Ahh, I won't be summoning them for a while. They're going to be staying with Shiro and learn from him." Keith explained. They were old enough to stay with the pack now.

"I see,"

"You have more?" Aidiun tilted his head. These two weren't the only ones he contracted with?

"Of course he has." Cadmus shook his head,

"This kid has something dangerous."

"What?!" Aidiun blinked when he heard that. Something more dangerous than a blizzard owl? What is that?! While Aidiun was lost in thought,

"What's the matter, Fira?" Keith tilted his head and noticed the weird expression on Fira's face.

"It feels strange."

"Hmm?"

"This place feels comfy and uncomfy, Keith," Fira explained with her brows knitted.

"Eh?" It's comfy and uncomfy? That was a strange take.

"Maybe it's because it's new." The island has a lot of grass around here that may have reminded Fira of her village. But she knew it was a new place.

Maybe that was why she felt both.

"Maybe," Fira nodded her head at that suggestion. She sat down on Keith's shoulders.

"I guess I should set up my tent." He couldn't live in the mansion right now. The tent was a temporary home to stay in. Keith brought out camping equipment.

"..." The three adults stared at him. This man was prepared for everything!

"Wait, does this island get cold?" Keith questioned.

"Not in this season. You're good for a few months."

"Gotcha!" Like that, Keith made the tent. It was a simple procedure. But that was enough.

Keith set other things up before he decided, "I'm going to cook something now!"

"I'm ready!" Cadmus immediately sat down on the ground without a thought!

"Uncle Sohma, are you staying?"

"If you don't mind?" Sohma smiled.

"The more the merrier. What about you, Professor Aidiun?"

"Sure," Aidiun nodded. Like that, Keith got to work. He quickly made an earth table from the ground to work on.

"I think a simple tomato soup and a seared steak would make a great dinner option,"

"Steak! That's great!" Cadmus nodded his head. Like that, Keith had taken out a big slab of meat. Keith cut the meat into six large slabs.

But Keith wasn't done as he minced some pieces for the sauce.

"I need tomatoes," Keiith took out some giant tomatoes.

"Those are tomatoes?" Aidiun was surprised.

"Fira helped out a lot," Keith stated as he diced them before blending the tomatoes into a paste. He added carrots and onions to give it sweetness. Out of nowhere, Keith took out a stove.

A literal stove.

"..."

"What?"

"Do you carry that on you all the time?" Sohma questioned.

Keith nodded, "Mmhmm. At this point, I carry what I can inside it." Having a stove on hand was great.

"..." Forget I ask.

While he let the tomato mixture boil in a pot, Keith placed the steaks on a pan.

Gulp. Cadmus gulped as he was ready to eat! But Sohma grabbed his back, "Hold it! Keith didn't say anything about it being done,"

"But it's so good!" The smell was delicious!

"It will be done in a few minutes, Grandpa Cadmus," Keith laughed at him. He quickly took out some bread.

"I should make some garlic bread,"

"What the?!" Cadmus tilted his head. Garlic bread?! What's that?!

Keith took out some garlic and diced it. He also cut some herbs. Keith did toss the mixture into some warm butter, mixing the two together. He brushed it on top of the bread.

I wish I had cheese. Keith sighed. Adding some cheese would have made it more delicious. This time, Keith took out an oven.

"..." The three shook their heads. At this point, he should have a house in there.

He placed it into the oven to let it bake. While he let that cook, Keith flipped the steaks.
