Volume 3 Chapter 45: Island

"How long does this last?" Keith questioned.

"On a good day, an hour. But on a bad day, we don't know," Sohma always watched over them. Especially so with Cadmus.

That man was a firecracker! And the one who had to suffer because of him was Sohma. He had to do damage control.

But how to change the situation. This situation was tenser than the other time. Sohma was really furious about what had occurred.

"Alright, let's calm down now!" Keith clapped his hands together. Aidiun's eyes widened.

Kid, are you looking to die?! Sohma wasn't the type to be annoyed. But once he did, no one could stop him! The problem was that no one could stop Sohma. If they jumped in, they might get caught in the crossfire.

And Keith jumped into that!

"Let's drink some tea first," Keith smiled as he brought some cups and tea from his storage.

"Void magic?" Aidiun was surprised.

"Professor, how do you know that I used void magic?" Keith had a storage ring on him.

"A storage ring and storage spell have different fluctuations. If someone had a high proficiency at sensing mana, they could tell it's not from the storage ring," Aidiun explained.

"I see." Keith nodded. I shouldn't use void magic so much. Strong people would figure it out. Keith poured the tea and milk,

"Please try, Professor,"

"Thank you." Once Aidiun took a sip, he was surprised by the taste, "It's sweet." The tea was mellow and sweet. But that wasn't the only thing.

It was aromatic and light.

"It's milk tea," Cadmus drank it all in one gulp!. Sohma savored the flavor of the tea. Screaming so much made him parched.

"Let's have some cookies as well," Keith brought out a plate filled with cookies.

"Delicious!" Cadmus was all smiles as he munched on them. That dead expression disappeared.

"Also, this will count as a snack time, Grandpa Cadmus," Keith didn't forget to say this.

"Fine," Cadmus rolled his eyes as he continued to eat.

"Why did you call me here, Grandpa Cadmus?" Keith questioned.

Cadmus smiled, "Keith, remembered the deal we made?"

"Mmhmm."

"Deal?" Aidiun was confused by this.

Sohma explained, "When Keith was young, Cadmus made a deal with him where Cadmus would provide Keith with living arrangements while Cadmus gets fed by him."

"..." What kind of deal is that?! That sounded way too in favor of Keith than to Cadmus. But it seemed Cadmus didn't care.

"It's time to make do with that deal. I will show you the floating island you will live on."

"That's great!" Keith was all smiles as he followed Cadmus.

Floating islands. That was where the students would stay and rest. Basically, it was a dormitory. As they walked, students and professors bowed their heads down at Cadmus. He led Keith to a bunch of gates.

"These teleportation gates are special. It will only send you up to the floating islands." Sohma explained.

"Follow me," Cadmus said. Like that, they entered the teleportation gate. They had teleported to the island.

"Wow!" Keith looked around the island. It was incredible. The entire place was covered in weeds and grass.

"This will be your home from now on,"

"There's even a mansion!" Keith saw the mansion on the island. When Keith tried to walk to the door, the steps broke!

"This place hasn't been used for quite some time, Keith. The equipment is pretty old and unusable." Cadmus scratched his head.

"...I see," Keith didn't say anything as he stepped gently into the mansion. And when he did, it looked pretty run down. Water dripped down from the ceiling. An eye-catching thing about this mansion was the giant tree in the center of the entrance.

"I can work with this!" Keith was excited. Designs flowed into his mind as he stared at it. Sohma and Aidiun didn't know what to say about this. Keith was too excited.

Keith walked out of the mansion. He asked Cadmus, "Cadmus, is this a large island?"

"Heck no. I can't give you those supersize ones. This is a small island that no one uses." Cadmus made an x with his hand.

"What? I was only asking," Keith laughed. He was being sensitive for no reason.

"Yeah, he's being sensitive," Sohma shook his head.

"I should call them out," Keith didn't wait as he summoned Fira and Aria over to his side.

"Keith!" "Ho!" Fira and Aria quickly jumped at his face.

"We missed you!" Fira hugged him tightly.

"Sorry. My classes were a little long. But you guys can stay here from now on!" Keith stated as he pointed at the island. Fira and Aria looked around.

"A blizzard owl and a forest spirit?!" While the two looked around, Aidiun blinked a few times as he stared at the two.
