Volume 3.5 Chapter 1: You Fool

"Ugh," Keith groaned as he started to wake up. My head. His head was in pain. He looked around to see he wasn't on his island anymore. There were many beds here. 

Keith got up, ready to leave. But he didn't need to do any of that as someone walked up to him, "Oh, you're up." It was a bunny beastwoman.  

"Where am I?" Keith questioned. 

"You're in the nurse's office," The nurse smiled. 

Keith nodded, "I see," So that's what happened. 

"I'm going to check your head," The nurse commented.

"Understood,"

The nurse placed her hand on his head. A glow formed before she smiled, "You're better now. But you need to eat something to replenish your stamina. Let me get you some food,"

"There's-"

"Keith!" Before Keith could finish his sentence, Cadmus, Sohma, and Aidiun burst into the room! 

Keith blinked, "What are you guys doing?" 

"We came here when Fira sensed you were awake!" Cadmus stated. 

"Huh?"

"What are you guys doing?!" The nurse roared, "You guys are in the nurse's office! Be more quiet!"

"Sorry," The three apologized. The nurse shooked her head at them as she looked back at Keith, 

"Keith, you should rest a bit more. Don't leave here."

"Understood."

"How are you feeling?" The three questioned. 

"Hungry, give me a second." Keith then took out some bread from his storage. He started to eat it without a thought. The nurse was right. He felt there was a large hole in his stomach.

"..." The nurse stared at Keith with surprise. Bread magically appeared in his hand. And that was not the end. Keith had summoned a lot more food. Like that, he started to eat like no tomorrow.

"..." The four adults stared at the child in wonder. How could he eat so much?! Cadmus slowly inched his hand towards the food. But Sohma slapped him. Cadmus gave him a look. 

But Sohma glared, telling him to stop it. 

"Umm, what happened to me?" While Keith ate, he had to question what happened. He was a little out of the loop.  

When that was said, 

Smack!

"You idiot!" Cadmus was the one who smacked him in the back of the head. 

"Ow!" Keith rubbed his head as he looked up, "What was that for?!"

"Principal!" The nurse screamed at him! 

Cadmus stared, "What?"

"How could you hit an injured patient?!" The nurse's expression turned dark as she glared at him.

"I-"

"No buts! Step away from the student!" Like that, Cadmus was standing a few feet away from Keith. 

"How could you sign a life and death contract with Diana?!" Cadmus couldn't help but roar! It was a strange sight as Cadmus was screaming afar from Keith and the rest. 

"Wait, what? So you know about it as well?" Keith blinked his eyes when he heard that. 

"Of course, I know! Do you even know?" 

"No. Aria said I could save her if I use this contract," Keith shook his head. He didn't know what it was. But since Aria was the one who said it, he trusted her. 

"..." Cadmus and the two were silent. Sohma questioned, 

"Keith, you signed many contracts with your familiars, right?"

"Yes, I have." Keith nodded. He contracted with many. There was Shiro and the Samuis, Fira, and now Aria. 

"There are many types of contracts you can use with your familiars. The most common one is the master and servant contract. The familiar has to abide by the contractors' words. That's the one you have with Fira."

"I see." Keith tilted his head, 

"Wait a minute, did my father sign one like that with Aria?" Aria did not listen to his commands at all! Usually, it was Keith who commanded Aria instead of him. 

"No, the one William contracted with Aria before is the equal contract. That means they are equal to one another. The difference from the first one is the familiar has a lot more freedom. They have to abide by some laws the two agreed upon together. The monster could easily break the contract when it wants," Sohma answered.

"So what's the life and death contract?"

"The one you signed with Diana is basically the most dangerous contract of all," Cadmus stated.

"Eh?"

"What do you expect with a name like that?" It literally had the word death in its name?

"..." Keith had no words to say to counter that. 

Sohma explained, "The life and death contract connects your life force with the familiar. Essentially, if she dies, you die. And vice versa."

"..." Keith blinked a few times. What?
